Set in lovely grounds, this charming Georgian mansion is home to one of York's newest boutique hotels. It was refurbished in 2007 by the designers Oliver Redfern and David Richard Mellor, who have created a trendy forward-looking interior which makes the most of the building's original features, such as the grand staircase that curls up the walls of a magnificent atrium.
