The hotel La Calcina is situated in Venice, in one of the most picturesque area, near important sites such as the Accademia, the magnificent Canal Grande with its prestigious buildings and the splendid Chiesa dei Gesuati church with the Tiepolo's masterpieces.
The property, ancient building, where John Ruskin stayed in 1876, has a vast and incomparable view of the Giudecca canal.
The hotel, accurately restored, has maintained the charm of its past and welcomes you in a warm atmosphere.
The property is fully air-conditioned and features all the comforts including a bar, a restaurant, two panoramic terraces and an ADSL Internet Point.

The continental breakfast buffet is served from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. in the breakfast room, or in the guests' rooms.
In summertime, breakfast can be served in the upper wonderful terrace overlooking the Giudecca or the ground terrace.

By car
The hotel is easily reachable from Piazzale Roma or from Tronchetto, where guests can leave their cars. From Piazzale Roma, the hotel is 10 minutes by vaporetto line 51, stop Zattere.
By train
From the Santa Lucia railway station, regular waterbus lines 51, 1, 82 lead you to the property in about 15 minutes.
By airplane
A direct waterboat service operates from the airport to St.Mark's square, where you can take the vaporetto line 1, or line 82, or you can walk about twenty minute. A private watertaxi service (more expensive) is also available at the airport.
