The Gran Bretagna is a newly refurbished hotel in the centre of Siracusa, a beautiful town in Sicily famous for its rich Greek history, culture, amphitheatres and architecture. The Gran Bretagna Hotel is located right in the heart of Ortigia, the most interesting area of the whole city, where you can find many historic sites and also beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea.
The Gran Bretagna Hotel takes its name from the English merchants and sailors that in ancient times used this hotel as a stopover during their long trips to Malta. Nowadays, tourists who wish to spend their Sicilian holiday at the Gran Bretagna Hotel can benefit of a wide selection of modern facilities, but they can still sense a unique atmosphere.
On-site amenities include a spacious terrace, a relaxing reading room and a very useful wireless Internet access in the lobby, ideal for guests coming along with a laptop.
