From Salzburg it takes a 1-hour drive on the A10 Tauern Autobahn motorway. Exit at Gasteinertal and follow the road for further 40 km.

By car
From the North: take the A10 motorway southwards to Bischofshofen. Continue on the B158 Salzachtal federal road until the Gasteinertal junction and follow the Gasteiner highway until Böckstein. Continue to Bad Gastein, pass the town center, and reach the bottom of the valley. From there, just follow the signs for HOTEL SONNGASTEIN.

From the South: take the A10 Tauernautobahn motorway, and exit at Mallnitz-Obervellach. Follow the motorway until the Tauernschleuse lock and exit at Böckstein. Take direction Bad Gastein, pass the town center, and reach the bottom of the valley. From there, just follow the signs for HOTEL SONNGASTEIN.
