Citystudios - Zurich

Generally we have pleasant stay as the location ist very much strategically to explore Zurich in any direction. But some disturbance in the nights from the pub guests in the neighbor hood until 3 am as they arguing between each other in very loud voices during smoking break outside the pubs. Lucky it was Winter time so windows closed and we have been in 3, Floor. But We would still stay again in this place as it is price worthy and strategically advance location.

Our stay there was comfortable. On the negative side, we had a room on the third floor and there was no lift. I think this should have been mentioned on the website. Also registration is at a video store and if you have any problem or have questions to ask, there is no one around after the video store closes (or before it opens).

1. There is no reception round the clock. We had gone from India after a 9 hour night travel reaching at 6 AM and were stranded on the road until 2 PM (It was a Sunday). Only then we could get in. I traveled widely all over the world and even though the check-in may be 2 PM, there would at least a reception area where we could sit and wait. 2. The apartments had no lift. We had come on vacation with a lot of luggage and our room was on 4th floor. Imagine lugging all the luggage. Besides, we had to climb up and down stars spoiling the vacation.

For the same price you could get a 3+ star hotel with breakfast. On the other hand the free Internet connection is of excellent quality.

I stayed here with my 2 friends and we are so glad to stay here. Citystudios is located the heart of zurich i think. it was a nice room and trip for us.

Reception should not be in a night club hall. Damage everywhere on the electric equipment. Not enough toilet paper!

First time in Zurich for holiday, hotel is really central located and the rooms are warm (heated) service is really bad no reception and no contact person no space to leave baggage no elevator

When we arrived there was a sign on the ground by the door that said Citystudios with an intercom. We pressed the intercom and no one answered it. We then asked the people in the bar next door and they didn't know anything. We then went into another door and knocked on it. The office area was so smoky and dirty that we almost left. We rang the intercom again and finally a man answered and could care less if we took the room or not, he had our credit card number and we had to pay 140.00 CHF for the room if we took it or not. Then he gave us a key to another door which open to bags and bags of laundry. We climbed the stairs to our room. The room had a double bed and a single bed which was clean, a small kitchen area and an average sized bathroom. The building was very old, the room was old, however it was all clean.There was a table and 3 chairs, a T.V. and free internet service was included. I don't know if I would stay there again. Not worth the 140.00 CHF.

It was intended as an economy room and that is what it is. I did not find any reviews before our stay as it was indicated as being new last summenr, but the furnishing of the rooms was certainly not new, and the walls were somewhat grubby which is always a problem when they are painted white. The man on reception was helpful and friendly and did not want to offer us anything that was unsuitable but unfortunately the room had a problem with ants that his attempts had failed to contain. He would have found us another hotel and not charged us for the booking if we had wanted, but it did not seem worth it for one night.

The room was perfrect for what we wanted. Cheap central, comfortable without any unneccessary extras. We were a bit worried before we entered the flat, the area a bit dodgy but no problems whatsoever.
