regarding the price, i expected something better : all was "cheap" : 4 people =4 glasses not one more, the surrounding of the appartment were poor, it was hot and the air conditionned system was noisy but not efficient, the washing machine was out of order.... i definitely not recommend this appartment.

We liked the apartment and would stay there again. The rooms were spacious. It was great to have air conditioning, but that's only in the common area so the bedroom got hot overnight with the door closed. After the first night we left the bedroom door open. The location is right next to the northeastern exit of the Nestroyplatz U stop. The main downtown tourist attractions are just a few minutes by underground or about 30 minutes walking. Some warnings: there is a washing machine next to the shower, which seemed great until we discovered that it didn't work. The clothes wound up sopping wet and not very clean, with clumps of detergent on them. I tried two different settings, then gave up and finished the wash by hand. Second, there was only one partial roll of toilet paper supplied. We ran out the first night and had to wait for the grocery stores across the street to open the next morning. You should also expect to supply your own soap, shampoo, etc. Finally, we had a misunderstanding about meeting up to get the key. We were supposed to call 1 hour before showing up or if we would be late. Our train was indeed late, and it took 30 minutes of effort before we finally contacted someone. (Compare the phone numbers Martin sends you with that on the venere.com booking confirmation. Martin left out a crucial 0 on ours....) I explained to Martin when we would actually arrive, mentioned all the trouble I'd had getting through, and asked if that call could serve as my 1-hour notice even though it was about 2.5 hours before our arrival. I thought he agreed, but when we showed up no one was there. After waiting 30 minutes we called and were told someone would be over in 30-40 minutes. (In fact it only took 20.) The moral is, make sure not to skip the one-hour-warning phone call.
