The apartment was in an excellent location. Mostly quiet, but close to all the sights. The propietor was very helpful and interested in us, not just going through the motions. There was even a complimentary bottle of wine included. Being close to the train station was a real bonus. Being able to cook was a refreshing break from eating out. We will recommend this to our friends.

The apartment (one room) is not very big and does not have a lot of light. Heating a little low in the middle of the winter. Kitchen well equiped. Very well situated. Nice welcome. Quiet. Very good choice if you want to cook your own meals.

Wonderful stay in Venice in December. Room warm and comfortable and adequate for stay - although a kettle would be good for English guests and some might find it a little cramped! Area is in a residential part of Venice so shops and bars are mainly for locals and very good.

Owner Stefano is a star! I cannot praise him highly enough! Apartment was exactly how it was described. We were not disappointed. The only (small) gripe was there wasn't a kettle. I would stay there again.

Apartment was very conveniently located close to railway station, restaurants vaporetta and many places of interest accessible on foot. Very clean and quiet. Contained everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. We would highly recommend to others. Could be a bit cramped for more than 2 people.

The apartment is in the heart of Venice, a short walk from the Piazzale Roma. We were personally welcomed by Stefano, the owner, who gave us a city map and told us about his favorite restaurants, the markets, laundromats, public transportation, etc. He also left us a bottle of prosecco, a type of locally-made champagne. The room is cozy and simple, perfect for a couple or small family, and compared with hotel prices it is a fantastic value. The kitchenette was great for making coffee and breakfast - it has a stove, microwave, refrigerator, sink of course, plus utensils, pans, dishes and an espresso maker. We were thrilled with this place, and Stefano is a gem.

we had a wonderful trip. The apartment is in a very very convenient location, far enough away from the main strip so we could relax, but just a few minute walk to everything, shops, restaraunts, train station, but station, water bus, etc.. Stefano was a wonderful host & made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He had great suggestions about places to eat & other little tidbits of information that travellers really appreciate! The apartment looked a little bigger in the photographs than in real life, but we were certainly comfortable. The room was quiet, only when the street was quiet. During the evening when folks were socializing on the streets in our area, it was a little noisy. It didn't bother me, but just thought I would mention it bcause 'quietness of the rooms' was one of the ratings I was asked to provide. A word to the wise, if you step into the gelato shop just around the corner, be prepared to buy gelato or suffer the wrath of the gelato seller. We made the mistake of browsing & not buying (my son didn't like the flavors offered that day, so we apologized & left) & we were sworn at in Italian, and some 'gestures' were made at us as well (I think gelato guy has a little temper). If nothing else, it gave us a good story to tell when we got back to the US. :) Overall, a cute little apartment, a wonderful experience & a great vacation.

Stefano was very helpful, offering a map with good restaurant recommendations. He had researched for me a couple of side trips I had mentioned, which was very sweet. It would have been helpful to make it clear that the water taxi is not necessary from the train station; it is at most a 10 minute walk, and the boat is 6 Euro each person. S. Croce is a nice area, easy to get to things and not too touristy as Venice goes. My only criticisms are that the apartment needs a thorough cleaning (very dusty); the expresso maker may need replacing (gasket); perhaps a small chest of drawers would also make it easier to put things away (it is a very small space for two people for a week). But overall, for independent travelers, it is a very good option.

We had a wonderfull tiny and sweet studio. The location in Venice is really ideal in the west part of the center but also in relatively quite place not so much touristical: that is you can find a lot of "trattoria" and bars with unbelievable price/quality offer. You just have to look for them. Over all we have thank a lot Stefano, the owner of the studio for the welcome. He made all clear, was very flexible for the appointment for check in and naturally he explained us a lot of very interesting points about Venice and gave us very important tips which fits our preferences. Fine. I would like also to add that the higher price for a studio was finally an advantage for us because we could really enjoy to have a break for lunch at studio and also a nap (after-lunch sleep), so that in 4 days and 3 night we only went 2 times in restaurant... We really enjoyed our trip in Venice, we had very small luggage, the arrival was absolutely not an issue. We have preferred not to use the public transport and have taken a lot advantages to visit Venice all by feet. A good tip: you can enjoy a small trip with gondolla from one to the other side of the "canal grande" for only 50 cents! I think for us it was a real pleasure and an authentic gondolla feeling. Have a good stay in Venice!

The welcome we received from Stefano, our host, really got this trip off to a great start. As well as orientating us to the area, Stefano took time to locate on a map several of his favourite restaurants in the area. We visited some of these and were not disappointed! The apartment is really great though maybe more suitable for two rather than three or four people. A really excellent apartment in a good area as well.

We really enjoyed our stay in this appartement, the owner is very very very friendly! The situation is perfect, near from everything but far enough to be quiet, even during carnaval, perfect! The bathroom is clean, the kitchen is perfectly equiped. We really have no bad point.

Price/quality/location relationship is superb. It's 5 min from the railway station (without usual European implication - it is a very safe and clean neighborhood) - you just drag your crap over 2 bridges, and you're at the apartment. 10 min. walk to Rialto; when most of the tourists leave at night the town is majestic. Piping works, fridge works, the place is clean - a bargain for Venice. Definitely spacious enough for a couple, or a couple with a kid, or up to 4 students. Won't advise 4 grown-ups there, though. Stefano (the owner) is a good source of info about local taverns.

Generally, you get what you pay for. The owner was fantastic in his help. The studio was very central, a bit difficult to find for the first 2 days, but you eventually do learn to find it with ease. I have to say that the pictures make the property look a lot better than it actually is. But you need to understand that for Venice; this property is a real bargain (and can only truly fit a couple of people only). My only one complaint was that the towels had the smell of tobacco (which meant that we had to buy new towels to use). This I’m sure being more of an issue with the cleaner smoking out of the bathroom window than anything else!! Apart from the towels, the property was a real basic, central bargain.
