The place is really nice, hidden in a backyard of Venice, so you feel a bit like an inhabitant yourself. The welcome was very short, the host seemed to be in a hurry, but it was everything ok, so there wasn't really a need to talk longer. One important advice: Keep the windows closed, although you would like to open them, we had a bad fight with mosquitos which badly disturbed our nights (in the beginning of october, other seasons might be better...) But the place was very spaceful and had an unusual, nice touch than appartments or hotel rooms do normally have.

The apartment is small but adequate and reasonably priced considering Venice is very expensive. Routine maintenance needs updating. Cupboard doors coming off hinges etc. Air conditioning was a blessing as the apt is very damp and it removed a lot of the humidity. Public areas need better attention as well. Persistent cat urine smell in hallway. Location is excellent and we were able to walk to most sites.

My ten year old and i stayed at san felice 1 for nine days in august 2011 and had a fabulous time. It was a good price (for venice) and we had access to everything you would want; a courtyard to relax in in the afternoon or have breakfast in the morning, doors that open on to the canal that was a relaxing place to chill out. The apartment itself had everything we needed (except internet access) but was very dark so i had to set my alarm in the morning! It was spacious and comfortable however and in a great location. Also access to washing machine that was great. Short walk to all the main attractions and around the corner from the water bus stop. The lady who welcomed us was very friendly and I would be happy to recommend to anyone.

Although the owners did not speak fluid English they more than made up for it with their friendly service and going out of their way to meet our needs. There should be more people like this, great work by them.

Loved our apartment! Convenient to station, absolutely huge. We could really relax and enjoy our stay, especially after very small hotel rooms. The short walk to the waterbus made it easy to get almost anywhere in Venice but also convenient to walk to a lot of places. Internet access convenient to the apartment also.

I absolutely adored my little Venetian Apt. with its own little courtyard on the canal to drink coffee in the morning or wine in the evening (or vice-a-versa;-) My neighbors were friendly, although I rarely saw them. It was so nice to "spread out" after being in many cramped hotel rooms. I felt like a "local". The grocery store was right around the corner!! Espresso maker in the kitchen, CD player for my Italian CDs. Convenient to transportation. I hesitate to share how great it really was, because maybe it won't be available next time I come. One little thing, though... I forgot my sweatshirt there and even though I offered to pay shipping, they would NOT send it to me :-(

We stayed in San Felice2 and it was wonderful. Great location and fab apartment with private courtyard/ canal. Kitchen equipment is the only downfall for this place, as they provide little. While it is possible to cook, there are no wineglasses or bowls- and they will not provide them, because they break.... While english is not the first language, communication was fine, and the caretaker very friendly. I would recommend to anyone who wants one bedroom apartment.

Everything was excellent. The only suggestion to next visitors: to find out how the cooker is operated at the moment of checking-in, as we had some problems (that was the only problem, actually). The resr was up to the mark. I am jealous to anybody who will stay there...

We were changed from San Felice to another larger apartment in a different part of Venice (near the Arsenale). It was very nice but we would have preferred the location of San Felice (nearer the station and easier to get to). Like most of Venice the plaster was crumbling off the walls - this one has to write off as local colour! The person who met us was very pleasant and welcoming (but little English) she told us about supermarkets and lavandarias but not when (how) to put out the garbage. We would have liked an information sheet for guests. We wouldn't return because we would look for somewhere else, not because the apartment had any major faults.

Apartment well located. It's really easy to get to the most popular touristic places. We used to lunch at home, stopping by the supermaket nearby! the place was clean and very quiet! well furnished and in a lovely area! Vaporetto is 5 min walk from the flat and there's plenty of nice cafés or restaurant around! We really enjoyed our stay there and plan to go back soon!

Although we booked SF 1, I think we stayed in San Felice 2. However, it was very nice. My only criticisms would be to please install towel bars (many!) and coathooks in the bathroom, and please put a toilet paper holder in the bathroom. Very close to the supermarket, easy to get into town via vaporetto, and nice and quiet. We enjoyed it.

This place blew our minds. It was a nice sized one bedroom apartment in its own courtyard. Everything was close, yet when in the apartment, you could have been anywhere, it was that quiet. We wanted to stay forever.

When we rang the gentleman at the Vaporetto stand he came to pick us up straightaway. He pointed out the supermarket and good restaurants on the way to the apartment. However, I was a little surprised to find that he expected 480 euros in cash for our payment as soon as we got there - his email hadn't been clear. I don't carry large amounts of cash and he couldn't accept my card so he came back in the morning for the money. The apartment was clean, spacious and pleasant but the oven didn't work - gas rings did; so we were somewhat limited in what we could prepare. The location was perfect: we were two minutes away from the Gran Canal and the main streets. I would certainly go back to Venice, stay in an apartment but probably not that one.

The bedsitting room was rather dark, not much window and low ceiling - but spacious and comfortable. I would have liked a few more cooking utensils (only one saucer sized frying pan and a cooking pot). There is a plumbing problem - possibly not unsual in ground floor apartments in Venice - the dirty washing up water from the kitchen sink regurgitates into the shower. The apartment was advertised as having its own private wharf, which sounded attractive but although the courtyard outside opened onto the canal, this part, seemed to be incoporated into another resident's apartment and we did not have access to the canal. However, our criticisms are minor - it was a comfortable, spacious apartment. quiet and cenrally located and we would certainly go back there.

Accommodation excellent. Within walking distance of all major sites, and 5 minutes from the Vaporetto for non-walkers. Local shops, supermarket and restaurants very good. The only complaint I have, and it is a common complaint for self-catering accommodation, is the lack of kitchen utensils; no spatula/fish slice, no draining spoon, no can opener. There was one wooden spoon, but this is not suitable for handling fried eggs.

Good things - good location, warm apartment (we were there in Feb!), ground floor, clean, near the vaporetto, but quiet, all the facilities we needed. Bad - the bed could have been more comfortable.

Upon arriving in Venice by boat in high gales and torrents of rain, we received a phone call to inform us that we could not go to our apartment due to flooding! However, Piergiorgio, an excellent host, put us up in his 18th Century Hotel for three nights at no extra cost, breakfast included. This was fine by us. When we eventually arrived at the apartment we were delighted. It was clean and beautifully furnished and had a very Venetian feel to it, with a mixture of antiques and modern furniture. The kitchen was immaculate and well stocked with supplies left by previous guests. The bed was huge and comfortable, the bathroom like that of a three star hotel; clean towels and toiletries. We had an absolutely lovely stay. Piergiorgio was extremely helpful and polite and even carried our bags when we left the hotel for the apartment. The only inconsistency I can see is the price, now it is double what we paid, perhaps a spot of bargaining with Piergiorgio would do the trick!

The location is very good, and the spaciousness of room are also good, but the fact is this apartment was bult long years ago and the facilities are also old, especially kitchen utensils are wore out as if some general family had lived till the day before. But, if you don't expect new and clean as hotels, this apartment offers you homely atomosphere.

This apartment was better than we could have ever imagined for the price. We traveled all over Italy on our trip and this was by far the best place we stayed. The kitchen was stocked up and the facilities were very clean. Thank you.
