Apartment was fantastic, our favourite accommodation of our trip. Its location was excellent, right behind St Marks Square. Breakfast room was too small and crowded and it was difficult to find a table, then clear it yourself. There never seemed to be bacon available no matter what time we got there. On our last morning the reception for our part of the hotel was still closed at 7.30am, so we had to trudge around the block to get to the other recpetion desk, which we thought was unprofessional.

Excellent hotel in a great location. Not the easiest to find although the man at reception was very helpful.

We found the Suites entrance quickly. It is convenient, next to the Torre dell'Orologico, a major landmark off San Marco. We arrived by train at 9 pm and no one answered the night bell. I called and got the main desk who sent someone over. Their records and my reservation disagreed. They had us arriving June 2 instead of June 1. The night clerk was helpful and got us into a room right away. Mattias and Sandro at the Suites were great. The room was large and clearly an old and formerly great building. The bathroom was modernized and clean. There was a kitchenette we did not use. The furniture was shabby for the 400 euros a night -- welcome to Venice! Two things made the experience the worse of our trip to Italy. First, the service was not equal to what we experienced in hotels which were more luxurious with excellent service at 100 Euros less a night. The hotel entrance staff could not arrange a private guide and kept recommending the same overpriced restaurant that was not spectacular. As I said, Mattias and Sandro were exceptions in giving us good suggestions about transportation and food. What really stands out was the disagreement we had with the manager when we tried to change our departure date from June 6 to June 5. My plane left at 6:30 a.m. June 6 from Rome and we were taking the last train out of Venice at 6:30 pm on Saturday, June 5. We started trying to change our departure on June 3 but the clerk at the hotel said we had to talk with the manager on June 4, which we did promptly in the morning. He was adamant that we had to pay for the last day and that there was no way he could rent the room that Saturday night. In the end he suggested that we split the difference so we paid 200 Euros. I am certain he did rent the room because they called to ask why we were not out at noon -- which I explained -- and there was a couple with a child with a suitcase, likely waiting for our suite!!

Best room we've ever found in Europe and we've been there many times. Large bedroom with ample storage, large living room with space to spread out and relax. Doors between rooms in case one gets up earlier. Kitchen was fine for coffee, snacks and wine, but not enough plates and utensils to really cook or serve a meal. Windows opened in both big rooms. Amazing location just off St. Marks square. We would not stay anywhere else in Venice.

I booked the accomodation as an apartment, but the services provided are more like a hotel. The kitchen had nothing to cook or eat with which was hugely inconvenient since I was travelling with a small child and had intended to cook meals in the apartment. The location of the hotel is great, and the accomodation was good, but given we had booked it as an apartment, it was disappointing

We were a family with 3 young children. I had mistakenly understood that the family suite would comprise 2 bathrooms. after our first night's stay, I complained and we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite at no extra cost for the following 2 nights. We had read that the hotel is impossible to find, the best directions are: from san marco square go through the clock tower, take 2nd left and you will find it on your left. After hours. check-in is at a separate hotel owned by the same group. The concierge (which we called on arrival)was kind enough to come and meet us and take us to where we had to check in. The only drawback is that the staff is not very helpful when asked for directions. we were given the wrong information when we asked how to get to the port to board a cruise ship.

The staff was extremely gratious and helpful. Our daughter even left her coat at our table after breakfast and the staff kept it for her until we inquired the next morning at the main receptionist desk. Laundry service did a wonderful job and was inexpensive. From desk held our luggage after checkout until the afternoon. Breakfast was great every morning. The Apartment Suites Torre dell'Orologio exceeded our expectations.

This is a great family option in Venice, with friendly staff, a great location, and a large, clean suite. Making breakfast in your own room gives a nice degree of flexibility in timing and choice of breakfast. We had a terrific view of the canals from our window. Nothing in Venice is cheap, but we would definitely return to Torre dell'Orologio in the future.

We had a Jr Suite for my wife and I and our 2 children. This worked extremly well as the children had their own room and bathroom. Having our own kitchen with breakfast provided in the room also enabled our timekeeping to be very flexible. Rooms were extremly good and location was ideal. Very friendly staff. Booking through Venere was faultless.

We had the two bedroom suite...perfect for the 4 adults. As others have said, it's a bit hard to find...walk through the clock tower, about 50ft beyond it, there is a side street with a FotoBiz sign above if, turn left into the walkway...go to the end where the hotel door/reception desk is. Don't bother stopping at the first door and ringing the buzzer, you have to go to the reception desk at the 2nd entrance. The rooms were spotless, crisp clean linens, airconditioning worked great. It was quiet despite being 1/2 block off the square. Secure, and comfortable. We bought some cold cuts, cheese and bread to go with what was in the kitchen for our breakfast. Better than any breakfast we would have had elsewhere. At night we'd go to the square to listen to the different bands playing in front of the restaurants...what a great way to spend the evening. Recommend this suites hotel and would definitely stay there repeatedly.

We've had a lovely stay at this gorgeous hotel. Everything went absolutely perfect. The location couldn't have been better, too minutes away from the St Mark's Square and yet in a totaly quiet little street. Employees were very welcomy and helpful. They provided a wonderful service and went out their way when I asked for red roses and a champagne bucket to be put in my parents' room for their anniversary. Venice is an indescribable and magic city, and even if it was a little bit expensive (but the room was huge though), I would go back to the same hotel for my next stay there.

This 2 bedroom apartment suite was perfect for our needs upon arrival from a 24 hour trip. It was off the beaten path, but conveniently close to San Marco. This was a very good choice traveling with our 2 young adult children. We had our own bedroom & bathroom and they had their bedroom & bathroom. We wanted a quiet rest to begin our vacation, and did not mind not having a view. We enjoyed a fully stocked kitchen with yogurts, milk, cereal, coffee, cheese & crackers, coffee/tea, and juice. It was such a great convenience after our long trip. The suite was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was extremely quiet. The pictures on the internet reflected well the look of this suite. The staff was pleasant and responded to any questions we had. The air conditioning was controlled by each individual room and very comfortable. I slept better here than at home.

Stayed with my spouse & 2 kids. Very spacious rooms..excellent location. Although a bit pricy compared to other hotels, would definitely stay here again. Staff was very flexible, when we decided to leave a day early. The only point to improve would be the quality of breakfast provided.
