Residenza Ca' Foscolo - Venice

This apartment was fantastic for 2 adults and 2 kids. The full kitchen and nearby supermarket make self catering so easy. The location to all the main sights is also fantastic, and most things are an easy walk away. The staff were very helpful, and we would definitely recommend this accommodation.

We went to Venice together with my wife and my twins. We spent a beautiful time (3 nights) at the Residenza. It is located very near (3 minutes) to Rialto Bridge and at about 12 minutes walking to St Marc Place. The apartment is large and offers all the comfort you will need for a small or long stay. They offer you breakfast in your room so you don't need to jump out of your place, that's very nice and let you feel like home. Next time we get to Venice, of course we will get back to Ca Foscolo :-) Thank's to the staff and big kisses from Lausanne :-)

Except the sofa bed that could be far much comfortable, our stay was perfect.

If you have problems with walking, please ask for ground floor rooms as the flight of stairs is quite a bit and the place has no lifts. Better communication from the hotel end is a must.

The apartment was spacious and comfortable and offered everything we needed for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The location was central and very handy to everything.We were not bothered by noise at night.

Very clean, very quiet, spacious 1 bedroom one sitting room/kitchen appartment with shower room. All fittings and furnishings of good quality. Old building is not of the best maintenance standard outside, but recently refurbished inside. Staff/Owners are very helpful and do everything to make your stay good. Selected because of good customer reviews and we were very happy. Thoroughly recommend to others - would definitely go back there again.

We returned to Vencie 5 years after I proposed in a gondola. We were very pleased to spend a couple of romantic nights. The accomodation is very well located and appointed. Highly recommend to couples and families.

Great location in the very heart of Venice. Shops, markets and restaurants all around. Friendly service by the owners.

The owner and hotel staff were great and truly wanted to make our stay comfortable. They thought of all the details for everything needed in our unit, even laundry detergent and great coffee. They provided food for our continental breakfast offered with the room. We Had so much we were able to make sandwiches for lunch which was very convenient on one particular day. They speak great English and I would go back in a heartbeat when I return to Venice.

Very nice and large, clin and well equiped( the kitchen ) 3 min distance from the Rialto Bridge, in a very central location, but quite. I will recomande this apartament all familly which want to spend some wanderfull days in Venice. our tip was memorable, and Ca'foscolo charmy. Roumania- feb.2010

We had a nice stay in the residence. Modern decoration and spacious. The only blemish was we need to wait for the receptionist a long time at the street when we check-in. Anyway, he is a nice guy and very helpful.

We thought the service was excellent and the accomodation was all we expected. Although in earlier reviews others found it difficult to find we had no problems. The only thing I would suggest is that the Aguilaguna route selected is the Orange Line which goes directly to the Rialto stop rather than the directions on the website.

Excellent central location. Sister Hotel( HOTEL BRUNO)offered excellent and reasonably priced breakfast. Venice continues to enchant!

Ca'Foscolo was a delightful surprise, very modern with every convenience including washing machine and dishwasher. Our spacious apartment was 2 mins from the bustling Rialto bridge and about 5 mins from St Marco Square, but entrance to our building in a quiet church square. Patrizia and Paolo were extremely helpful and we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else when we return to Venice. They also own the Bruno Hotel just a few minutes walk away.

We had a FANTASTIC stay at Ca Foscolo. This place is best value for Venice! The appartments are spacious, have modern design furniture, air conditioning and have a touch of luxury. Staff is very friendly and competent. We left with an evening flight and were allowed to keep the appartment the whole day without extra charge (cooked lunch, took a shower before we left). The surroundings are perfect, cross Rialto Bridge and you are at the market square (fresh fish!) which is an asset considering the fully equipped kitchen in the appartments. Ca Foscolo is worth every penny!

Ca' Foscolo's price/performance cannot be beaten in Venice. For 180-220 euros you get a good sized apartment .... our apartment has 2 bedrooms, a good bathroom and a huge living room with full cooking facilities and a huge fridge. That enabled us to stock up 4 days worth of breakfast from the nearby supermarket. There's a traditional drip coffee maker with excellent coffee powder provided by the apartments. Of course, you cannot expect a hotel's standard when it comes to changing towels and tidying the rooms. This is sort of a self-service type apartment and the reception is staffed only from 10am to 3pm but there is a sister property Hotel Bruno round the corner that is a full service hotel and we can call them or pop over if we need anything .... we also have the phone numbers of the staff. The location is excellent, 5 minutes walk from Rialto bridge and 10 from Piazza San Marco. It is a 16th century building so the outside is a little run down but I found it quite charming .... a practical concern would be the lack of elevators and the hotel reception is on level 3. My 63 year old mother could do it reasonably well but that's also because she didn't have to carry any luggage. I would highly recommend Ca' Foscolo as, by far, the best value hotel I have had in my 4 months of travel in (the expensive part of) Europe. The apartment we had could easily fit 2 in the master bedroom, one in the single room and 2 more in the living room with sofa bed!

Fantastic for a family visiting venice, with 3 children it is hard to find a hotel room big enought. central location, brilliant welcoming staff, who walked us to the supermarket and a local restuarant to help with getting our bearings. the apartments are a good size , modern and clean. highly recommended

This establishment was an absolute corker!!! Great value for money, excellent position and the rooms were fantastic. I would return here again and again.

Paolo & Patrizia were great hosts, very helpfull. If in Venice and want a nice comfortable apartment, and GREAT service, Residence Ca'Foscolo is the place, we had a great time. It's true that the exchange rate does not favor US travelers right now, but it was worth every Euro we paid. GREAT!

I am happy that we chose Residence Ca' Foscolo for our stay in Venice! It was perfect! The location was great, appartament was so cosy and elegant. we have rent a flat for 2, without servic but everything we needed was into the flat. We got what we expected according to Venere's informations.

We are a family of 5 and stayed in an apartment here- it was wonderful- very beautiful & comfortable- It was perfectly stocked for cooking, which we did a few nights to hedge against the poor exchange rate- Venice in gereral is a very expesive place to stay, and even more so over the Easter weekend- Paulo & Patrizia were perfect hosts and attended to our many questions. She even walked us over to the local supermarket.It is extremely well located and very easy to find. We would recommend the property with out hesitation. Everything was brand new and in perfect condition. We had a wonderful stay there.We felt very comfortable at Ca Foscolo.

A wonderful stay!

Ca´Foscolo is a very recomended place to stay for your holidays in Venezia. We are a family ( with a son of 3 years old ), and to have choiced Ca´Foscolo made or holidays in Venice better. Location is perfect, situated near to rialto and Piazza sant Marcos, very clean and quie, and the staff very professionals and so frienly. Very recomanded.

Group of 5 (4 young men and grandfather) First time in Venice and glad we chose Ca'Foscolo. Very nice apartment a stone's throw away from the Rialto. 2/2 spacious rooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living room. Great pub and pizza shop just over the small bridge to the left when you exit. THE BEST gelato in all of Italy at Le Boutque del Gelato. My only negative is that the actual street of the address wasn't given and we ended up running around Venice trying to find the apartment. But very minor compared to the great experience we had.

WE WHERE 6 PEOPLES IN A VERY CLEAN AND SPACIOUS PLACES WITH KITCHEN AND EVERYTHING INCLUDED ALL 6 APPRECIATE THE LOCATIONS NEAR RIALTO BRIDGE . IT IS WONDERFULL

Great place in a great location between Rialto bridge and San Marco. Gave it a 5 for public areas, because there really aren't any. But who needs it with plenty of space indoors and and Venice a step away?

We travelled as a family with baby und a little toddler. When we arrived we were told to leave the apartment due to "technical reasons". I'm sure, they just where overbooked. They reserved a loud and small hotel room some hundred meters along. Guess how funny it is to relocate with two little children and lots of stuff (and of cource without any help of the hotel management). That day was definitely lost. We had a confirmation for a complete stay and were kicked out after one night. Never again!

The condominium was and was very convenient so that it was near Rialto, and the market etc. were also near. The interior of the room was also wonderful. It is easy to have used that there were especially two bathrooms.

Our stay at Ca'Foscolo was excellent. The rooms were spacious and clean. We stayed in the 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment and everything was excellent. The location is also great. Very close to the Rialto Bridge and within walking distance to St. Mark's Square. There are great shops nearby and a supermarket just a few feet away. It is in a very quiet location, right next to the oldest church in Venice. Would highly recommend.

The Residence Ca' Foscolo was much better than I expected. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the location is great. It's a hop skip and a jump away from the Rialto and about a 5 minute walk from Piazza San Marco. Just outside the apartment to the left is a Internet location, a Ristorante, a Pub, and a Pizzeria. It's also very close to Via San Lio which has great cafes, restaurants, and shops. The one negative was that it took me about 1 hour to find the location...the address provided by the owner/Venere is listed incorrectly.
