excellent apartment, very clean. Convenient to airport waterbus stop, waterbus stop for Murano and Burano and reasonably close to Rialto - 12 mins walk and San Marco - 10 mins walk. great location, a little off main thoroughfare - just enough to give a little peace and quiet. Only disturbed on one night from flat above but this did end at midnight.

Very good accomodation, perfect location - quiet, but central. Supermarket and bakery just 5 min walk away. Very friendly and welcoming landlord. Kitchen ok, would just need some kitchen knifes. Perfect for a group of 4, a bit pricey for two. If we come again with 4 people, we will certainly try to book this apartment again. It was excellent!

We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed our room. The breakfast was ok, with typical sweets for breakfast and good coffee. The bathroom was extremely clean and looks brand new. Silena gave us good directions to catch the water bus to the airport for our very early morning flight. I liked the fact that the location was away from all the big crowds near San Marco. My only negative is the poor quality map we were given upon arrival at our B&B -- I would gladly have paid 2 euros extra to get a good quality map to make it easier to find our way back "home" after a day sightseeing.

As we could read in the comments of other travellers before us, this bed & breakfast adress is a very good solution for those who want a room in a quiet environment but not to far from the important things to see in Venice. The room is not very large (but as a tourist you're supposed not to stay in), but nice and clean; only the shower is rather small (you better don't have a belly) and water leaks out. House owners are nice people, and in the morning, they make you a delicious italian coffee.

This is the second time we stayed here and again we are very satisfied with our stay. Location is good: close to ospedale stop and close to San Marco, Rialto... Welcoming is very good. We arrived a few hours later than expected but that was no problem because they arranged for someone else to show us our rooms and hand us the keys. Breakfast is OK. There is a toaster and you get a croissant every day. The rooms are air conditioned and very clean and spacious. The only thing that could be better is the shower. It is rather small and there is barely enough water to take a shower. Overall we are very satisfied.

This is a very nice B&B in a great location in the historical center yet away from the crowds and tourists, and it is a great deal for the price. The room had an air-conditioner which came very handy as it was very hot when we stayed in May 2009. Real breakfast was offered in a nice common area each morning, and even coffee was great and made to order.

B&B Campiello S. Giustina is located in a very quiet part of Venice. It's very close to the vaporetta stop (same side as the islands Murano and Burano). Short 10 minute walk gets you to Piazza San Marco. Our hosts, Silena, Marco and their father were very helpful and accomodating, especially with making sure we made our very early morning flight out of Marco Polo airport. Our room was comfortable with wonderful old wood ceiling beams. It was simply and beautifully decorated. Bathroom was very clean with small shower stall and big terry towels. Breakfast was good, with a selection of pastries, cereal, yogurt, juice and coffee. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

It is a real nice place in a quit area of venice. It is not directly near the hotspots of the city but for me this is a plus because the ways are short in venice anyway. The next waterbus stop is just 100 m away. The rooms are quit and clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is typical italian style. Nothing special to eat but the coffee was really great.

These 3 days in Venise will be unforgottable thanks to the beauty of this city, but also thanks to the very nice b&b we staid in :) Our room was simply perfect, and every additional service was good. We had very good breakfasts every mornings, and we could use the fridge to put some Champagne and other stuffs ;) The location was also amazing, in a very quiet street, at 5 min from this beautiful square (where the Basilica di San Giovanni e Paolo is) and 20min walk from San Marco... which is not a bad thing when you see the croud there ! We highly recommend this b&b !

We missed our train to Venice and had to be delayed over an hour, but Franco met us later than anticipated at the B&B no problem with refreshments, map, keys and a warm welcome. VERY nice breakfast provided - great capuccino, Selena! The room was very nicely appointed with Ikea furniture and toiletries. Sparsely decorated, but very cozy. Extremely clean room. The only drawback was the very small shower, but I am being very picky. Overall, an excellent room with many accomodations at this price point. I would definitely stay with Franco and Selena again if returning to Venice. If you do not enjoy walking to get to the main sites you should find somewhere closer to St. Mark's Square or Grand Canal. Bring a good street map with you (and a compass). We found the walk to be a great opportunity to get lost in Venice. This B&B is back away from the pricey places along the canal, but unless you like being right in the thick of things you will love this place!

This B&B was really nice. My husband and I stayed here for two nights - the first two nights of our honeymoon. It was easy to find from the Marco Polo Airport and the directions they gave were very good. The room was very clean and nice. The shower was tiny, but that's just how it is in Europe. The breakfast was very good - cappuccino, croissants, rolls and they even had some milk and cereal out. Oh, and our room had a hair dryer which was a bonus for me. We would recommend this B&B. It was a short, nice walk to the Rialto, St. Mark's Square, and all of the other tourist attractions.

We arrived very late because a delated flight, but the kindly owner Silena was stand by at telefon to help us how the get to the hotel if we should miss the last of reccomended boat. Her lovely mother welcomed us in the middle of the night (12 PM!). If you are in Venice for your first time you easaly can get lost. We followed the map to find the right way and we were lucky that we had the photoraphs of the hotel in our minds, otherwise we are shour that Silena had to pick us up somewhere.

The name of our room was ‘piccola’. It was really piccola, small double. The shower cubicle was also very small. (I couldn’t crouch down inside the shower cubicle.) There was no natural light. We couldn’t open the doors(to the corridor and the bathroom) and have our sutcases on the floor.( I think this problem was only in the piccola.) There was no lift. But it’s OK! The location was good with easy access. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The towels were good quality. Breakfast was adequate. Cappuccino was delicious. The Staff were very helpful and friendly. I could get a water bottle (500ml) for a reasonable price from the refrigerator at the B&B. It was also very helpful. I think this B&B is very reasonable in Venice and is located in a good place (Not in Mestre.) Overall, I highly recommend it. I’d like to stay again even in the piccola.

(Our stay in rome the day before seemed more ageist!) Staff were very friendly and helpful in pointing out attractions to visit in venice. Breakfast room provided gives a chance to see other hotel guests which was a nice touch, and the amount of breakfast provided was more then enough to satisfy a 19yr old guy!! Only negative was the rooms were so quiet you felt rude to speak above a whisper! Overall a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

quite clean, except for some small worms: the room was clean, but the windows are wooden and quite old, and not very clean. We found some small worms inside the room, every day. I guess living close to the water implies some insects, but I wasn't expecting them to come into my room. There were 2 kill paff devices, so mosquitos must be everywhere around... Service was ok, though stairs were very narrow and without lift. The shower was tiny and the glass frames did not fit very well. It's 10 minutes' walk from the centre. We loved staying here! Silena and her employees were very welcoming, and took great care to make us feel welcome. The B&B is about 10 minutes from San Marco's, and it was the perfect distance. We felt like we were close enough to the tourist areas to enjoy them, but far enough away to get a real taste for how the locals lived. We received an outstanding welcome from our hosts, even though we had to adjust our estimated arrival time more than once. The location was very much off the beaten path, and therefore very quiet and relaxing, providing a taste of what life might be like for locals. The b&b was close to Campo di Santos Giovanni e Paulo, a beautiful plaza full of playing children and relaxing adults. The complementary breakfast was abundant as well, which helped tremendously to mitigate the costs of dining out in Venice. I should offer some caveats, though: the window in the room did not have screens, which allowed mosquitoes into the room and bug bites in the morning. Also, the bathroom reserved for our use down the hall was equipped with only a half-size bathtub and hand shower, with no curtain, making for an awkward bathing experience. Otherwise, I and my partner would visit the b&b again and recommend it to others. (But why would one do that, when there are so many other neighborhoods and b&b's to explore in Venice?)

This is our second time staying here. Silena is always a wonderful hostess. She was there to greet us with a smile once again. This time we stayed in the small double. The beds are comfortable, the most comfortable beds we slept in during our Italy trip. As always you should be warned that there are quite a few stairs to climb about 2 flights of stairs to get to the rooms by the kitchen and another flight if you have one of the rooms on the top floor. The rooms are always kept clean. Beds are made daily. Bathroom is cleaned daily. Breakfast is very yummy and Silena makes the most delicious cappuccino's. Silena goes out of her way to make your stay pleasant and she if very accomodating regarding arrivals and departures. It's a nice 15 minute walk (Venitian style) to St. Marks Square. One tip for finding the B&B...As you get off the Vaporetto ramp, turn immediately to your left and walk straight ahead. It will look like there is no way to go through ahead of you. Just keep walking straight and you will get to a wall with a gate, turn to your right and there is a small (narrow) alleyway that you have to follow until it opens up to the small campo where the B&B is. Look for the very small church (chapel) in front of you and the B&B is behind it. The door to the B&B is on the right side of the building. We always enjoy our stay here and hope to come back very soon.

My wife and I enjoyed out stay here and have recommended it to our friends and family if they are ever in Venice. It's very nice B&B not far from restaurants and shops with decent security. The breakfast is a buffet of cereals, a croissant, bread and preserves and either a coffee, cappucino or tea - a good start to the day. Our room was neat and clean, though the bath in the off-suite private bathroom is very small and requires a little contortionism to use it. Maybe the on-suite bathrooms are better. There is also a nice little kitchenette available to make tea or coffee.

Very nice host and hostess, good breakfast, quiet location. Avoid the small double, it's miniscule (but had a jolly good bathroom) - other rooms looked more spacious and had nice views. The lower rooms are up 48 stairs, (3 rooms are on the floor above) but our hosts were eager to carry our luggage for us. Good value in this very expensive city! We would consider returning on another visit.

This is a really great B&B, despite our first impressions. As this B&B does not have a manned reception you need to ensure that you let Ms Selina know your exact arrival time. We arrived at 8:30pm in the dark and found the B&B very easily thanks to Ms Selina's excellent directions. However when we arrived it was pouring with rain and the B&B was locked shut. My wife and Daughter waited at the door while my Son and I frantically looked for a phone to call Ms Selina. As the outside of the building is very run down (Typically Venetian) in appearance I was starting to wonder whether we had made the wrong decision in selecting this property. After many knock backs we found a Bar proprietor who was willing to call Ms Selina for us and she sent someone to let us in within 5 minutes. Once we had entered the B&B and climbed the 3 flights of narrow stairs we we blown away. This B&B is fantastic and our intitial hiccup was no more than a mixup of arrival times. The room was roomy (We are a Family of 4), spotless and well appointed. The breakfast was ample and the staff who didn't speak English were extremely friendly. Despite our first impressions I would not hesitate recommending this B&B as it is Clean, Well Located and great value in Venice. Ian van der Wolde. Australia.

This is a bed and breakfast place. The room was clean and air conditioned. The bed was comfortable but the breakfast was just a very basic continental breakfast with no hot entries. The shower door in our room was too narrow and hard to get in and out. The opening could not have been more than 18 inches so you can imagine how much room there was in that shower! The hosts are nice people, helpful and courteous. The place is located outside of the tourists area and among the Venetian neighborhoods which we really appreciated. The place does not have an elevator! And the rooms are on 3rd and 4th floors. But our host helped us with the luggage. Overall, our stay was satisfying. Certainly I would stay there again after I have done more research on other competing B&Bs in the area.

This place was amazing! And the price made it a great deal. I am a college student, and I stayed here with 2 other students. We were allowed to come and go as we pleased. The personnel were very nice and accomadating. Their breakfast is very nice and you have to try their cappucino...it is some of the best I've ever had! The location was great. It was only about 20 minutes from St. Peters and 10 minutes from the Rialto Bridge. I highly recommend staying here.

Owner very nice...helped with early arrival(held our bags) and early check out as well. A little hard to find...but good location for the money. And fair warning for Venice don't order a Coke anywhere in Venice it'll cost you $8 a piece.

The owner is very gracious. We thank the lady to help my husband with the luggage all the way up to the 4th floor. The "problems" are mainly:1) no elevator for people with more luggages, and 2) Shower has extremely low pressure with inconsistent hot and cold water. Other than that, everything is perfect.

Very personal service from Silena and her father, very charming, warm and kind poeple! We were welcomed by Silenas father, waving to us from the window when we came, and gave us a soft drink even we were 2 hours late! I can really recommend this place.

While the B&B is off the beaten path, it is still close to St. Mark's, and thus an excellent value. Our host greeted us enthusiastically, and provided perfect directions from the airport. The hosts were very accomodating and helpful throughout our stay.

While it was a long 4 floors to the top of this small tower, we thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations. Especially once we figured out the air conditioner hiding near the ceiling. The location is wonderfully isolated from the mobs, but very accessible from the water. 4 of spent 4 beautiful days here in the top two rooms. There was even a fridge available in the hall.

Excellent bed and breakfast, staff most welcomming. A cool drink on arrival was most welcome. Breakfasts very good and plenty of coffee available. Stairs a bit steep at the end of a long day sight seeing but air conditioned room very much appreciated. Area nice and quiet after the hustle and bustle of the rest of Venice.Overall an excellent place to stay, we hope to return soon. Thank you very much.

The room was very clean and quite. It is 10-15 minutes walk from St. Marco square. Breakfast was OK. I wish they had eggs. We had very difficult time to get into the hotel. We emailed the hotel our arrival time to Venice airport is 2PM. We waited outside the hotel door from 3PM to 4PM. Nobody was there. Finally a guest showed up and lent us a phone to call them. A neighbor was sent to help us into the hotel. We were very very upset. Shower water pressure was very low. Our room was on 3rd floor. We had a big suitcase, it was hard to get our luggage up there.

Nice place to stay (with AC!) though a little hard to find the first time you are looking for it (no sign visible from street, only on the door). But after that, you realize it really is in a great location and the staff is so helpful and friendly.

A great value for money. Everything was very clean and quiet, and also a good breakfast. Staff very nice. Just a claim, if you arrive later than 20:30 and you get off in Fondamente Nove stop, you don´t have to walk 50 meters but 400 meters (crossing 4 bridges)to arrive to Calle delle Cappuccine.

The directions given to find the B&B were brilliant. When we arrived my bag was carried up stairs and we were offered a drink before sorting out all of the arrangements. This was a really nice touch as we were tired when we arrived. Everything we needed to know was explained and helpful. venice is such a maze but we found this was in a great location and didnt get lost once! Warm and welcoming owners who are very helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The only problem we encountered was that our bathroom only had one undersized tub, no shower, and very low waterpressure, making bathing a bit of a challenge. Still, though, we highly recommend the place as it has great value for the price.

My wife and I stayed at the Campiello S. Giustina for a week at the end of March 2006, and we had a great experience. The facilities were spotlessly clean, our hosts were friendly and very accommodating, and they served us a fantastic breakfast each morning. This b&b enjoys a quite and convenient location, well away from the tourist rabble, yet it is just a short walk away from the popular locations. It is also very easy to find if you’re coming from the airport by boat. We would definitely stay here again!

We'd like to warmly recommend this BB as it must be one of the best places to stay in Venice! We asked for the big double room, it had a great view, a good bed and the most perfect heating (it was february!). Franco&family were really good hosts.
