Vacation Rental Palace Derossi - Trogir

Excellent hotel located within a historic place.

The hotel exceeded my expectation for service: early departure, hotel transport to airport, "bag" breakfast, courtesy and helpfulness of reception on arrival. Disappointed that evening dining has been discontinued.

We had to climb up 3 flights of steep, curved stairs with luggage to an attic bedroom. The ceiling slanted over the bed and in the bathroom. Watch your head! The bed was hard as a rock. Security consisted of a 1900's type key. On the plus side, the air conditioning worked.

The first room we were shown was very nice but smelt severely of dampness, to the point that it was impossible to stay and the staff refused to acknowledge this. The second room we were shown had a rather short double bed when I specifically asked for two separate beds. The bathroom was beautiful but had a jacousi instead of a bath-tub, with a very difficult switch to operate the shower and no shower curtain. What made our stay horrendous was the location of two nightclubs with very loud noise located just under our bedroom that made it impossible to sleep from 11 pm to 3 am. The entire room was vibrating to the point that it made it impossible to even think, let alone sleep. There was no warning about this from the staff and when we discovered what we were in for, it was too late to change.

The toilet was not cleaned! It was covered by the paper shows that it is desinfected, but there were several residue of shit.

Excellent place, small, good welcome, well located. Nice people. Very commandable.

The staff were lovley and very helpful organising our transfer to the airport, which took a lot of stress off our mind. the room was lovely and clean and we were shown directly to them by the staff, which was a great touch. The location was excellent, and very easy to reach from transport.
