Our stay at Hotel Calipso was fabulous. The Hotel was only open for 10 days and a few kinks still needed to be ironed out such as the TV in our room did not work until the last night of our stay. The hospitable staff which consisted of two women, Lidia and Luana, managed to make our stay memorable. Hotel Calipso is off the beaten path and is a welcoming place to stay away from the bustling crowd. The beach, which is in dire need of cleaning, is directly across the street. This facility is great for families. A car is needed to get to and fro the major areas such as Taormina, however, it is not necessary since a train is about a block or so away. The Hotel's private & secured parking lot is a godsend.

The stay in this hotel was as expected. We were in the hotel in mid. October for 3 nights. The hotel has a privet parking in the basement and our room was attached to a big balcony with beautiful sea view. The only thing that disappointed me was the breakfast - the waiter refused to refill empty plates of cheese or cold cuts. Cheers, Leo

We stayed here for three nights in May, and very much enjoyed our time there. The staff were excellent – extremely helpful with local information, and also lovely to just talk with. The buffet breakfast was good. The place has a very open, relaxed feel – much more so than central Taormina, which we found extremely crowded. If you are energetic it is possible to walk to the funivia up to Taormina (although there are also buses), and it is an easy distance by car to Mt Etna.

Provide much more than I expected on the basis of price and website indication. Staff was very friendly, helpfull, well qualified, the atmosphere of hotel was warm &friendly.I'll suggest for everybody to spend their holiday there.

The stuff was very helpful. The room was spacious and we had a privet balcony with a view to the sea. The surroundings were quite, next to the beach, and there are couple of restaurants near by. I'll be glad to be in this hotel again when I'll return to this region.

The hotel was very good, the rooms were very clean and modern. The personnel was very friendly. One thing we didn't really like is that for the breakfast, you need to order instead of a buffet. But I guess this is due to the fact that this is a small hotel. Our staying there was very good and a lot of restaurants were at walking distance.
