Vacation Rental Adina Sydney Crown Street - Surry Hills, Sydney

We really enjoyed our week long stay at the Adina in Sydney. Check-in was painless. The rooms were spacious and we liked the modern décor. The facilities in the units were excellent, even including a washer, dryer and dishwasher. The kitchens were stocked with a bar supply but no condiments like salt, pepper and oil, which we found odd. We were also missing a frying pan but the staff soon corrected that. Our one bedroom had a decent-sized balcony that we made good use of. The only major shortcoming here was the cost of in-room internet, which was expensive ($12 per hour/$100 per week). There was a kiosk near the lobby where you could get it at $2 per 20 minutes. Newspapers are delivered to your door on request and for a charge. They have a large hot tub but the outdoor pool was not heated so it was unusable in the winter. The provide gas BBQs outside and an eating area for the guests to use. Ask at the desk for the bin of tools, disposable dishes and cutlery for al fresco dining. Staff were uniformly excellent, with several going out of their way to be helpful. The neighbourhood was also fun. It was a mix of residential and commercial, with several friendly pubs and eateries. We enjoyed visiting the numerous small food stores, bottle shops and delis in the area to stock up on supplies. Chinatown and the Australian museum are nearby, however a walk to the waterfront at Circular Quay would be a bit of a trek. Central Station is only a few hundred meters away and we used it to get tour buses and trains to our destinations. It can be a little noisy, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, but this is to be expected in an area like this.

Very spacious apartment. Very good location in Crown Street. Lots of good restaurants nearby and only 10 minutes walk to the SCG and 20 mins to CBD shopping.
