Vacation Rental Meje - Split

It been in a private house. Very difficult to find the house and address. The taxidriver going around and around for find the house and set me there - but it not the correct plase, but nearby. The price be for high for this apartment

The room is large and very quiet. It is situated approx. from 200 m from a nice city beach (a little bit crowded at weekends)and 15-20 min walking distance from the historical center of Split.

We stayed 9 relaxing days in Apartment Meje in July 2009, this was our first visit to Split and Dalmatia. Apartment was clean and nice even with well equipped kitchen. The service was simply excellent all the time and the apartment owner family was extraordinary friendly and helpful. Nice swimming beach with clean water and basic services was in very short walking distance, Split city center was easy to reach by bus or taxi (or by walking).

If you're looking for a quiet space and a wonderful beach, this is the right place. its true its a little bit far from split center, but there's a bus and even the owners themselves gave us a ride a couple of times. and its not expensive, considering the city rates. we spent a very pleasant weekend there, and hope to come back some time soon.

The owners of the apartment were very friendly and helpful. The apartment is located across from the beach and a nice, but healthy walk to the town center.

Very good surroundings and neat accomodation. The only minus comes from the limited kitchen ware (plates, cutlery, glaces ok, but only one kettle and no accessories (e.g. wine bottle opener, cutting knife, bread knife, chease cutter ...)). A special thanks to the very helpfull contact for the appartement.

The apartment was about a 20 minute walk to the center of Split (if you are a fast walker). The apartment wasn't small but it was just a big room w/ a kitchen in one corner and a double bed in another. I think the price was a bit high for what we got. The room was cold (only heater was a space heater) and the bath towels were small and never changed the 3 nights we stayed (although we didn't ask for new towels). A plus- we went to Markarska for one night and the manager of the property let us keep some items in the room as well as the key even though we weren't paying for that night.

Owner was very helpful, met us and drive us to the apartment. Location was good and close to the old city and beaches.
