Villa La Terrazza Apartments - Sorrento

Bullet points: Pros: The host was fantastic. The best we had anywhere. The views from our room was awesome. Very spacious apartment. Location to everything was good. Just 10 minutes away from the train station and buses to the Amalfi Coast. 5 minutes away from the Capri Island ferry. Cons: Washing machine dragged so much power it kept blowing the fuse to our room. Since it was a front loader we had to finish the cycle. Over 2 hours until after 2300 at night I kept going outside and put the power back on (over 15 trips in the cold). Eventually we figured if we turned the fridge off (full of food) and the hot water off we got through the cycle. But I had to stay up until the cycle finished so we had hot water in the a.m. Just frustrating. We knew this place had a washing machine so we arrive with a suitcase full of dirty washing. We planned the trip that way. It came with a promised wi-fi. Rarely worked and only in the back corner of the bedroom. One night around midnight I walked around the grounds trying to pick up a signal on my ipad. I got heaps of wifi signals but not the one I had a password for. I was desperately trying to get in contact with a business partner in Australia. Warning. There is no reception. Make sure you have your arrival time planned with the host. Stressful arriving and you have no idea who to see or how to get in.

Great trip to Sorrento. Splendid house on the sea front. Very agreeable owner ! Unfortunately we had a tremendous wind blow during 3 days, so that Andrea the owner, changed our room to a splendid suite named "Paradise"... I confirm : It was the paradise I would recommend it

We were fortunate that the 'Paradise' apartment was available, with its stunning views along the coast and over the bay. It was also very spacious and well-furnished. The owner was very helpful with arrangements for arrival and departure.

The stay in Villa Terazza was a wonderful experience. Views from the large balcony are phantastic. The location is ideal: just around the corner from the center of Sorrento, near restaurants and shopping, but totally quiet and off street. The interior is very convenient and stylish, and together with Andrea's (the manager's) explanations and stories brings this historic and majestic building alive in it's old way.
