We stayed in Sorrento for 11 days. Corso Italia suites has several apartments in different buildings and they vary wildly. The first apartment we stayed in was small and dark and did not have a balcony. There was construction work taking place in the building from 9am until 5pm every day, not very relaxing. We spent five days in this apartment, the building noise woke us up every day and made it impossible for our baby to sleep during the day. We were moved to another apartment when it became available. It was beautiful, far superior to the first one, even though they were the same price and grade of apartment. It was beautiful, huge and airy with a balcony. But the aircon was broken and wasn't fixed during our stay despite us repeatedly asking for it to be repaired. Corso Italian suites are in a great location, right in the heart of Sorrento and five minutes walk to the beach. However, it is noisy. It is difficult to know what you are getting because of the various locations and huge difference in apartments.

My wife and I stayed in appt 5 for the last 4 days of our honeymoon in May 2011. The apartment is on the main road, above and surrounded by a wide choice of restaurants, bars and shops. As appt 5 is interior you do not get any street noise at all. The bedroom, bathroom and living room were all big for 2 people, but if there was another couple on the sofa bed this might not be quite as luxurious. The kitchette was basic but perfectly adequate for us to cook a carbonara with ingrediants from the deli over the road! Sorrento is a lovely town, quite a typical seaside town, but with an Italian twist. We spent 2 days on the "beach", a pontoon from a choice of restaurants - you pay 8 euros each for a sunlounger with a great view of the coast and a quiet lagoon for swimming. We hired a car for our time in Sorrento, but I wouldn't recommend this because of the parking. Corsa Italia (the road the apartment is on) is closed in the evenings at weekends and is meter parking when it is open. We had to pay 15 euros a night to park 10 mins walk from the apartment. Free parking was on the edge of town and then was "at your own risk" on the side of a road, and 40 mins walk away. There are car hire places in Sorrento, so if you wanted a car for a day then I'd do it as and when. Amalfi, Pompei, Naples are all connected with good and regular buses and trains.

The one bedroom apartment was spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect. Right in the centre of Sorrento. My one complaint was that the TV channels were almost all in Italian. Many many channnels but no CNN, no BBC. For a company often renting to English speaking tourists that is very strange. The shower head in the bathroom was fixed right in the middle of the ceiling in the shower stall, and there was not enough room to step aside in the stall to get out from under it, so there was no way to avoid the water pouring down on your head the whole time the water was running. Would I go back to this property? Yes, but they should arrange to have a couple of major English language channels on TV.

Everything was fine. Nice apartment, just the quietness of the rooms, due to loud neighbours, could be better. Very recommendable! Sorrento offers a lot of good pizzerias with good prices.

This place is really underrated! We were at first concerned when we arrived to find ourselves at a travel agent office. However, when we picked up our keys all concerns disappeared - this apartment was fantastic! There were 8 of us staying there and we had plenty of room and best of all a room just for the kids. Fantastic location right on the main st in Sorrento, slight downside was that it could get quite noisy at night. I would definitely recommend this place

The apartment was very spacious, comfortable, and only a five minute walk to the centre of Sorrento. I would certainly stay here again if I return to Sorrento. The rooms were very large and tastefully furnished.

We were traveling with my husband and 4 young children 8,7,6 and 2 years. The accommodation was perfect for us, although the kitchen was really just a sink and a hot plate inside a cupboard. So we couldn't really do much cooking. But as we were there only 4 nights that was not much of a problem. The apartment does not have a washing machine, but this would have been a welcome addition for people on the road like ourselves. The noise outside was not really an issue except on the Saturday night when the main road closes and people walk up and down until 3am. We expected that and really the location was fabulous. Even if we couldn't get out at night, we could stand on our balcony and take in the lovely atmosphere. As far as direction from the railway station goes, a little more info wouldn't have gone astray. 400 metres from the railway was correct, but you need to go to the main road, then turn left, go through the main square and the apartments are just ahead on the right hand side of the road. We spent too long lugging our bags and stroller with 4 grumpy children up and down the street, because the Italian numbering system makes no sense, and even the locals couldn't tell us which way to go. Overall excellent place, great location, and clean and comfy. PS Don't arrive during siesta time because all the shops are shut and you can't get the keys.

Room did not look like examples shown on the internet - that is always disappointing. The kitchen was very basic (once again looked nothing like that displayed on internet) and was dirty. Floors were sticky, sofa uncomfortable and felt unclean. Shower head was broken, reported immediately to staff, promised to be fixed with new shower head - did not eventuate in the week we were there. Overall very disappointing. Would not stay there again.

The only problem that we had with the apartment was that the bed was increadibly hard and uncomfortable. We had to put the extra blankets on the bed and sleep on them in order to not be sore the next day.

A bit too noisy in the evening and in the morning. Simple but large rooms. The location was very good: close to the train station, restaurants, etc. We had a great time! We also fall in love with the nice little beach in Marina di Puolo. Only be aware of the steep narrow road that lead down to the beach.

We enjoyed our stay in Sorrento and this apartment's location was excellent. The staff were nice enough but please note that their check-in is only after 4.30 pm which is a pain when you arrive in sweltering heat with a family on the london flight at around 2pm in sorrento. Also, they do not reply to email's either on Front Desk. Another thing is that they provided a wrong set of keys on one occasion. If we had not checked them ourselves before leaving the apartment we'd have been locked out all night. We did mention this to them and got a replacement. However, if you have a problem and lose your keys then there is no way of contacting the apartment due to their opening hours but we were told that this is not their problem! Also, a request for an extra pillow was ignored. Another point is that we booked a 2 roomed apartment for 4 people expecting this to be 2 bedroomed but you only get 1 bedroom plus a lounge with a double sofa bed. The photos look better than the apartment we were given too. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location in the center of Sorrento within walking distance to everything. Altho lots of street traffic (car and pedestrian) was reasonable and made for great people watching other than weekend night when bar across the street was VERY noisy. We had two bedroom apt and after pushing twins together was perfect for two couples. Ate out most of the time and that was good cause dishes were sparse and kitchen tiny. Office hours made it hard to track down service help to get questions answered or extra blanket, etc.

We rented a "three-room" apartment: one bedroom with queen bed, one bedroom with two twin beds, and a den with pull-out couch (one full bathroom). The apartment was quite spacious, clean, new and very well located. But, it was exceptionally loud. The traffic on the street died down by 10pm; but VERY early in the morning, there was massive construction all around us (in the same building). Also, a daily cleaning service would be nice. One last complaint, the office keep weird hours, closing in the middle of the day, making check-in very inconvenient. An aside - Delfino's: great restaurant, do not miss; Il Buco: terrible food, overpriced, skip it!

Situated slap bang in the middle of Sorrento. Excellent location. Apt's were clean enough and plenty of towels. Looks pretty much like wot it does on the web. Beds were comfy and big enough. The air conditioning was very good and included in the cost, unlike our other family members who were staying in a nearby hotel who had to pay extra for the air conditioning. Only two small drawbacks to the apartment, well three.. firstly if you have a flight coming in earlyish you can't get in till 4.30pm which was a bit of a pain. The other minor detail... which I sincerely don't think the letting agents were aware of was that there was no plates or cups at all to be found in the apt, we were out too early to see them to let them know so had to buy our own. One other small thing, a neighbour with a circular saw woke us up pretty early every morning, but it wasn't too unbearable. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the apt and would have no problems booking again in the future. Sorrento is beautiful and as I said the location for getting around is ideal.

The apartment was very noisy at night time, so if you plan on getting to sleep before midnight this is not the place to stay. It was very central to everything in Sorrento. Be careful, when they say the apartment is 2 rooms- this does not mean it has two bedrooms !!!!

We stayed in the 2 room apartment for 7 nights at the beginning of November. We arrived into Sorrento at 14:00 and had to while away a couple of hours until the office (located directly beneath the apartments) opened to collect the key and pay. The payment can only be in cash, and include the deposit and other charges. We found the apartments spacious enough for the two of us and the rooms clean and tidy, if a little sparse. The small kitchen area was basically equipped but, as we ate out most the time was hardly used. The apartment is located about as centrally as is possible, but this does come at a cost. It overlooks the Cosrso Italia which is the main road through Sorrento. Due to the high buildings on either side of the road, the noise of the constant traffic is amplified. When the road is closed for pedestrians (apparently weekend evenings), the noise of scooters and fiats is replaced by chatting and shouting tourists. This does mean that the apartments are extremely noisy from about 07:00 until midnight, definitely something to bear in mind if you are a light sleeper or fancy some late lay-ins. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the apartments and found that the central location was sufficient enough to compensate for the noise.

My only complaint is the way the price is displayed because on my confirmation of booking it gives a total price and then in the fine print says you need to pay extra for cleaning!! This should be included in cost so when booking is made you are given the ACTUAL TOTAL PRICE. Otherwise we loved the appartments and the location etc was great.

Accommodation is very good and location is very central. It can be very noisy at night but this is offset by the location. When we checked out, we were told we had to pay an electricity charge which had not previously been advised to us via the Venere site. We paid only what we had been advised by Venere as the total cost of the stay. This was handled nicely though by the girl who works in the office.

I booked an appartment for 4 people for 5 nights. Our flight was delayed and we did not arrive until 11.30 but we were met by an agent at the appartment who showed us our lovely suite of rooms. I emphasize that the rooms were spacious, comfortable, with high ceilings, aircon... and in a perfect location. These appartments are a great alternative to staying in a hotel. However, when we officially checked-in with the agent at Executive Travel Service next morning, she charged an extra 130 euros on top of the price quoted by Venere - for 'electricity and water' for 5 nights. Contrary to her claim that this was stated in the correspondence, there was no mention of this extra charge when we booked. Also please note that payment is by cash only. So, please check what your final price will be directly with the agent in Sorrento, rather than expect to pay what you were quoted online. But don't let that put you off - they are great appartments.

We were extremely pleased to find such a newly refurbished large apartment to stay in so centrally located. My only comment was that a couple of lights were not working and they did not get fixed but otherwise it was great and exactly what we wanted. I don't think the travel agency was very helpful but Bruno was. They didn't really know anything and were not cheerful.

The only problem we did encounter was that by the time the fourth person in our group took a shower the water was running a little cool. Other than that it was a great apartment centrally located yet nice & quiet. Would certainly consider a return visit. I have marked the public areas as poor as there weren't any to judge.

The apartment was extremely clean, perfect location, marble floors. The beds are uncomfortable and it is hard to sleep with all of the street noise but we learned to turn the ceiling fan on high to drown out some of it. If you want quiet this is not the place for you but if you want location for walking to everything it is worth the noise.

The self catering facilities were a bit limited. A shortage of cups, no bottle opener. Perhaps a review of kitchen equipment might help. The builders in the room next door were very noisy. They started hammering very early in the morning! No doubt this is a temporary problem.
