Vacation Rental La Gensola in Trastevere - Rome

The property was modern and updated. It was also very sterile and masculine. These things are of course a personal observation. If you like this kind of apartment it will be a good fit. There were a few things that could be improved. There were no dish towels only paper towels to use. There was no tea kettle or toaster. There was not even the basics to cook a meal such as salt, pepper or olive oil. It was advertised there was an ironing board but it was a travel size very small. There was adequate room in the apartment for a full size board. The apartment was just steps away from a busy restaurant. At night it was noisy but not too bad. The apartment was efficient and very reasonable and a cab ride away from everything. All in all worth the money.

Aside from a tiny amount of noise from another room (through an interconnecting door) I cannot fault La Gensola. The accommodation was excellent and I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it as a central base in Rome. I have stayed in Rome many times, usually in 3-star hotels that cost more, and it was of a higher overall standard, with much more space and superior facilities.
