Well located with a subway station and grocery store at the cornerstone and 10 mn from the Vatican, it's very convenient and easy for visiting. The appart is large even if it looks like 1970 ! outside and public area are ok. On top of that,we took advantage of the parking lot The staff helped us a lot with goo advice. With a good refhreshing painting it would be nice it deserves.

Travelling with 3 children (from 6 to 10), we found in this hotel an appartement for the whole family and a place for the car in their private parking. The hotel is 10 minutes far from the Metro, which is very convenient. Anyway, it is possible to walk to the Vatican. The appartement is really old-fashion, especially the bathroom.

Suberb hotel/apartment in every respect, full 10 rating. We've already stayed there a 2nd time during our trip and will certainly stay again in the future if possible. Excellent service. Excellent location as well, close to Cipro metro, FR3 regional railway, several bus lines (23, 492, 907, 990, 991, 999). Mercato Trionfale nearby, also Carrefour and Spar-Despar supermarkets and Billa inside Coin on Cola di Rienzo. Wifi didn't work, no latte or tea mugs. The hotel does have spoons, forks etc cutlery though unlike somebody wrote earlier.

The location was a couple blocks away from the metro (subway/underground). Walking there was a bit strange, it's not a downtown area or something very busy. Not a ton of people around to make you feel very comfortable but it was manageable. We took the metro from southern Italy to this location and found it okay. The staff was friendly enough. They didn't do anything above or beyond checking you in but were open to answering questions as best they could. We couldn't get the wireless internet to work unless we were down in the lobby. It was quite for the most part but we were staying there at the same time as a bunch of college kids who were noisy some nights. The apartment setup is okay. The tvs are very old. The third person in our party needed to sleep on the couch. The beds are old, hard and not very comfortable which held true for the rest of Europe in places we stayed so not a big surprise. Overall all though it was a great price based on what we found which made for the little walk from the metro worth it too us. Something closer to downtown would be more convenient but not worth the price to us.

Very close to a big local supermarket (ideal if you wanted to use the kitchen to cook), and only 5/10 mins walk from a metro stop and the vatican. Was a little noisy at night (voices, doors shutting), but barely noticable. The residence felt very safe with 24 hr reception/security and the door to the apartments are locked at night so youneed to ring a door bell to get in - ideal for lone travellers or if you were worried. Some issues were lack of cutlery (there wasn't) and other kitchen utensils, and the tv got very little signal and was quite frustrating to use. Overall, a safe apartment offering you a good amount of space and the opportunity to self cater in a really good location in Rome.

The only reason that I gave 6 to "value for money" and 8 to "general review" is the very old and extremely uncomfortable beds. At the moment that the Residence change these beds, it will be the best "value for money" place at the (so expensive...)city of Rome! Staff is helpful, kind and friendly, kitchen and bath equipment old but clean and operating perfect, doors windows and all the building is renovated and brand new and as I said before the only thing that is missing is new beds. The area is quiet with fresh air (different from the centre of Rome), very well connected with public transportation (even after midnight!) and has all kind of shops (super markets, bars, restaurants etc.) in the surroundings.

Soundproofing of rooms and people returning late at night and not staying quiet proved a problem. Some basic ingredients such as salt would be appreciated.

The server of the hotel is very good. We stayed there three nice days. When we left the hotel we missed our digital camera in the room. The house-keeper in the hotel found the camera under the bed and they sent it back to us in Sweden. We very appreciate for that. The hotel is located pleasant location, just a few minutes walk to Cipro metro. The staff are nice, warm, friendly and welcoming,

Great location with easy access to metro station and within walking distance to Vatican Museum. Room decor was a bit old and out-dated.

Great location, just a few minutes walk to Cipro metro. Overall very satisfied but for two things. Due to a bank holiday there was no cleaner for 2 days, and although the rooms were tidied when they the towels were not changed once! Second, mainly students in other apartments and they could make a bit of noise coming and going at night.

I am satisfied with the hotel, more than I expected. The hotel is easy to reach, 5 minutes of walking from the metro station Cipro. Most of the staff are nice, warm, friendly and welcoming, speaking good English. I will certainly consider this hotel if I travel to Rome in the future.

The Residence Medaglie d'Oro was very good for it's proximity to the Vatican and Rome in general. The hotel had pleasant surroundings and employees were helpful and courteous. The hotel should upgrade their matresses ie.a double bed should not be two<2> single beds pushed together and they should not be excessively worn.< firmness/softness>. Towels for daily use should be changed daily. All in all this is a very functional hotel w/ reasonable pricing.Adding the above mentioned suggestions would make this hotel an even better value. The kitchen area was adequate/functional ...local market just down the block was excellent. I would certainly return in the future.
