Little pricy but worth it if you want to splurge. Great view, beautiful experience. Only tough part was climbing the 4 floors in a tight staircase up 4 floors but the payoff at the end made it all worthwhile. Wish I lived there!

The room we had was pretty basic: cheapest ugliest furniture possible. The couch in the upstairs sitting room was broken in the middle and covered by old drape: it sagged to the floor when sat on. Not a single attempt at decoration, no pictures on the wall: just bare white paint! The only thing that saved this apartment was the view: immediately above the harbour, although half the view was obscured during our time there by the fact that the building next door was being renovated and a scaffold draped in white plastic protruded into some of our view. The old guy who worked at the desk of EDI was extremely grumpy when we asked him for some help with a washing machine that we couldn't get working in his self serve laundromat next door . Treated us as if we were morons and rose reluctantly to his feet to help , muttering under his breath . We had our moment of triumph though: he couldn't get it working either without a lot of fiddling ---- A real Basil Fawly Italiano! Anyway , Cinque Terrestrial was magnificent and we had great weather so we didn't care. Enjoyed our stay , but thought EDI only did the absolute minimum. I suppose where they are they don't have to try very hard!

The property is run down. Kitchen falling to pieces. Paint flaking from walls. Beds were good. Hot water was plentiful and reliable. No matches or lighter to light gas top. Location is very good. Having a nice balcony overlooking the water just below the deck was the saving feature. Its very rusticfor price. Not too many steps to access which is also good.

The best place to stay in a crowded Riomaggiore. Quiet with beautiful sea view right outside the apartment. Clean towels every day. Many steps to carry your suitcase, but it's worth it.

First time stay. We loved the town. Our balcony gave us a great view of the people and street. We would have liked to see the ocean. We stayed 2 nights. We would definitely look to Vacation Rental Appartamenti e Camere Edi if we visited again.

Once we got to the top the apartment views were great. The lights on the stairs were not working after letting the owner of the apartments know he was very rude and said they were. If we did not have our mobile phone we would not have been able to see. It was very dark and very steep stairs. The lady at the desk was very apologetic and lovely, it was the owner who was very rude. I would not recommend this as a place to stay.

Our place was amazing.... Very clean, a lot of space, great location (on the water and close to the ferry) and we had an awesome view outside the main window. The water pressure in the shower wasn't great but at least the water was hot! Thought it may be noisy due to its location but slept perfectly fine throughout the night. A lot of great restaurants around. And the ferry to the other villages was perfect. Definitely recommend staying here. But PACK LIGHT!!! The stairs and hills in Riomaggiore are killer and you can't drive near the accommodation.

The L'Agave room was excellent. Location was right next to the water, and two windows facing to the water and cliffs. Take note the location is at the very very bottom of the city, right next to the water. The shower was very small, and the unit was not "hotel" clean, but as long as your expectations are of a hostel or backpacking mentality, it should meet your standards. The location and price are the two best attributes of this unit, and though I do not know what the units on the higher side of the city is like, I would have no hesitation staying in this room again.

This accommodation is better suited to short stay 2 or 3 days and hopefully you have minimum luggage to carry up and down steep stairs and inclines. You need to be easy going and take what comes like if the shower is cold or has no flow don't expect that it can suddenly be fixed. You can get the same quality rooms but back from the sea views for half the price.

Stayed in Ginestra room, at end of main street in Riomaggiore near train station with view of sea to the right from the window. Location is fantastic, parking is easy with space for 10euro/night at entrance to town. Some walking up and down hill, also room on 2nd floor (3rd by US count) but we came to hike. Via dell'amore is 2min walk away but it is closed in rain. Train and boat are also by water, and there is an alternative hike from the entrance to town up to St Maria church (45min each way, with great view of entire region). Convenient pizzerias, stores, restaurants and not as crowded as Vernazza. Room is HUGE, shower has excellent pressure, bathroom overall is small though doable if you are not overweight. There is also a full kitchen that would be great for weeklong stays. We liked staying at Edi's very much!

I think we were in room #4. Might have been their best room. One of the last buildings over the water in Riomaggiore. It was a beautiful view from the room. Even with the windows closed you can hear the tide crash. The accommodation were large and it had a kitchenette but the decor was not the most up to date. We didnt care. The wife loved it.

The apartment was value for money and was what was expected when making the booking. The only problem was that in the ground floor room in the apartment the water heating system in a cupboard in the room came on at 2.00am, 4.00am and 6.00am on the last night of our stay.

Great location and size of room. Best part was the lookout and view we had from just outside the room. Nice and close to the main part of the village but be sure to pack lightly - the steps from the village to the accomodation are a killer. Shower was awful however - did not get one decent shower in the whole 6 days we were there. Temperature was not contant taking forever to heat up to the point of boiling and then would turn cold really soon and the pressure was so low.

Really nice place. The lady at the reception (or rather agent's office on Via Colombo) was very helpful even ot the phone navigating us to this very specific location. We rented the appartment L'Orizzonte and it was large enough to accommodate two adults and two children. Nice view from the terrace directly at the sea. Stairs are everywhere in the Cinque Terre and this appartment is on the 5/6th floor of the house (top floor) so you can enjoy climbing. Do not be afraid of marina smell as it means just about ten little boats in Riomaggiore.

We traveled as two couples so the two bedroom apartment, each with its own bath, was perfect. While we didn't dine in we could have since service and pans were available. The apartment is three story with an enjoyable public area and terrace balcony was especially enjoyable. the bedrooms by European standards were spacious. While no staff was available on-site it posed no problem. Contact with staff was easily maintained at the storefront on Via Colombo. The only caution is that if traveling by train, access to the apartment requires a substantial climb from the station to the apartment. Carrying much luggage is not impossible but would turn the effort into "work" quickly. As car parking and access in Riomaggiore is available but limited, access even in this regard is essentially by foot for all.

We stayed at top floor of No.95. From train station we walked up the very steep road to reception to get our key to apartment. Received a fairly brisk welcome and then were taken back down the steep road and a series of stairs to our apartment and then up 78 steps to our apartment. Quite a difficult climb with luggage. When we reached the apartment we were pleasantly surprised as the apartment was spacious for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The view from the verandah was excellent. Cooked our own food in apartment and ate on balcony overlooking harbour - beautiful. Fairly small bathroom and kitchen Be prepared to climb lots of stairs and hills in riogamorre - but well worth it.

this was the most beautiful location in Riomaggiore! Right on the water overlooking the sunset...fantastic! The garden was the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking. Service was great. there were a few quirks with the apartment...plumbing leaks, ants, but they were small compared to the beauty and majesty of the location. Treat youself to this particular apartment!

Phenomenal location - our apartment overlooked the ocean. Extremely spacious. Wonderful to have your own kitchen to work with. The staff was extremely helpful - carried my suitcase on his shoulder all the way to the apartment, while singing away in Italian! Gorgeous city, reception is well-located within it. Only minor complaints are that the hot water takes a long time to arrive (a good 15 mins of keeping the shower running), and can fade in and out at times. Also, bring an eye mask - we did, and were grateful because the windows were large and only had thin white sheets over them which did not block out the light at all.

We rented the L Orrizonte apartment which was comfortable for a family of 4 - there is a double bedroom and 2 single beds in the living room which was perfect for us. Do not let the entrance downstairs take you by surprise as I immagine all the properties at Riomaggiore are the Same but the apartment on 5th floor (despite having no lift) had a splendid sea view terrace. Only complaint If any is the shower water pressure but otherwise was Ideal and comfortable.

We stayed in Zia Maria room which is the top two floors. The terrace view is absolutely spectacular! As I read in reviews before going, there are lots and lots of steep steps to this apartment, so don't stay here if you aren't capable of handling that. Riomaggiore was the perfect Cinque Terre home base location.

Location of and view from apartment is great, but for this price I expected more - there is no kettle, no wine glasses, half of the electrical plugs and lights does not work and mattress is old and uncomfortable. There is fungus growing on the bathroom wall, and paint flaking off the kitchen wall. Not really acceptable.

The view from the balcony was beautiful which was what we paid for but the proprietor failed in their customer service. The apartment was dusty; some parts were obviously not cleaned for some time as seen from the layer of dirt, dust or hair especially in the balcony and living room. The room was not prepared and my family had to wait downstairs in the cold while the sofa beds were being prepared. 2 light bulbs which were not working were not changed when reported after the first night even though we stayed for 3 nights. Furthermore, the reception is not where the apartment was located. There was no phone in the apartment to contact the reception. There is a climb of 5 floors down from our apartment, 2 flights of stairs up to the main street and another 150m walk up an incline to the office. And you need to do this again just to return the key on the day of check-out when in other places you can just leave the key in the apartment. Furthermore, you have clear your own rubbish otherwise they will charge you a 60 Euro cleaning charge. In all my years of travelling in some many countries in many different types of accommodation, this is the first time I am required to clear my own rubbish. The toilet stall which was already small only had a smaller shower curtain which was hardly effective in keeping the water in. The faucets were so archaic that one still need to control the water temperature by doing a great deal of balancing of the hot and cold water taps. Frequently, the water temperature will change suddenly and it is such a waste of water letting it run while controlling the temperature again. This is laughable coming from a country known for its good quality bathroom fittings. There were no matches for the stove and that means another trip to the reception. The man at the reception gave wrong instructions to drive down the main street and we were accosted by the carabineri who were not exactly friendly and couldn't speak a word of

Great great great location -- the L'Agave room. We stayed during low season, and there was a lot of neighboring construction, but no fault of the property. Lots and lots and lots of uphill walking. About a 8 minute walk straight uphill to the car park. The view was amazing. The area is fantastic. The shower a little small and the bed is two twin beds pushed together. We didn't stay there looking for a 5-star hotel and we were super pleased at what we paid for!

I could not have asked for a better apartment for our stay in Cinque Terre. Everything about the room was fantastic! Our room was very large, something you don't find much in Italy, with a large kitchen and everything supplied for cooking. It was nice to buy goods at a local store and cook in the room, as most places to eat were closed during the winter. The room was right on the water and had an incredible view as well. The room itself is not at the same location as where you check in, but a very nice lady walked us to the room once we arrived. One thing to note when traveling to Cinque Terre, be prepared for a large amount of steps, so pack light and enjoy. We had the experience of a lifetime, definitely worth checking out!

We had a quick visit to Cinque Terre during Easter and it proved to be difficult to find decent accommodation even when making reservation in January. The room was ok, but overpriced for its quality. This appears to be general challenge in the area. We liked Vernazza the most from these cities and the hike between Vernazza & Monterosso was really nice.
