Great location, comfortable bed and clean enough. That being said, I would rather stay somewhere else next time. The door was very hard to open/close, sloping floors...

Great location, comfortable bed and clean enough. That being said, I would rather stay somewhere else next time. The door was very hard to open/close, sloping floors, broken bathroom door handle, coffee machine did not work, the apartment smelled from dry rot in the bathroom. Lightbulbs in only 1/2 the lightsockets. Apt needs overall renovation.

We loved the location in the Latin Quarter (within walking distance of so much!) and the atmosphere of the neighborhood, though it did get rather noisy at night if you slept on the sofa in living room. The bathroom and kitchen were mostly functional, though not as clean and practical as we would have liked. The bed was fine (though beware of the slanting floor!), but the pull-out couch was noisy (springs), dirty, and exceedingly uncomfortable to sleep on. Too bad the apartment wasn't better kept — the location is perfect! Also, beware : the door can be tough to open.

Do not ever go there. We payed for three days and had to leave after the first. It is dirty, it smells awful (even with the windows open. The water sinks very slowly. We had to move the mattress into the dining room where we slept three together. May be Hemingway lived in the house but with Fay Patheon 'Paris is no Feast'. It was 480 Euro for less than nothing but an unpleasant lady and the smell... smell... smell.

The pull out couch was not meant to be slept on-- old and hard on the back and the renovations to the apt. seemed very amaturish and not professionally done. There was NO decoration or quaintness what so ever. Very primitive inside, and I've lived in France for over 20 years so I've seen what can be done to improve old places.

This apartment is in a lively and attractive quarter and very handy for restaurants. However, the entrance to the apartment block is dirty, the apartment is badly equipped and in poor repair. It represents poor value for money in comparison with other apartments we have rented in the past The kitchen and bathroom are a disgrace. We would not have rented this apartment had we seen photographs.

The location of this apartment is marvelous! That said, it has some major drawbacks. Forget the phone with prepaid card-there is not one. We could never get the television to work well enough to be able to watch. There is a washing machine--something I was really looking forward to and had even bought washing powder--BUT the plug has been cut off! Also the bathtub/shower would be virtually inaccessible to anyone quite short, overweight or even slightly physically delibitated. The side is very high with a half glass door and the toilet sits in front of the rest of it so that leaves about ten inches in which to get into the tub. There are no plugs for the basin or the tub. The bed has a plastic mattress pad which crinkles every time you move. It also smelled sour and musty. All in all, the apartment looked worn and dingy. My husband never wanted to eat there so the advantage of having a little kitchen was completely lost.

The apartment is large, clean and comfortable. As the building is very old, there are some problems. The bedroom windows can't be opened, and there is no air conditioning. There is a leak from an upper floor into the bath ceiling. The advertised washing machine does not work. However, the location is excellent for getting around in Paris with only a short walk to the Sorbonne, Pantheon, and two Metro stops. The neighborhood is somewhat "lively," with young people out on the streets until around midnight. After that, it is quiet. The apartment is very reasonably priced for any safe, clean place to stay in Paris.

We did book this apartment BUT on arrival we were told that there was leak and we had been given a better place for the same money. The flat we stayed in was in a good location as far as sightseeing and restaurants etc but it was above a rather nasty looking club that was open 24 hours so no respite from noise. We would not have stayed here had we known plus the flat was quite shabby and needs a lot of TLC and a good clean.I would not recommend this to anyone.
