This is my first time to Paris and the location of this property is excellent. It locates in a tourist area and we took a short walk to Notre Dame. The Seventh and St Michel fountain are just steps away. A lot of restaurants and shops are around. It closes to 2 Metro stations and RER line and bus stations which go to almost anywhere in Paris including the CDG airport and Versailles Palace directly. All other locations can be reached by transferring to other lines of Metro or buses or RER. The residence is clean but does not have much public space. The living unit is quite enough for us. The kitchen and bathroom are clean and big enough for travelers. It's not cheap but for the location there, it's not over-priced. I met some travelers there and they paid more for a not-so-good location. I will look for this kind of residence next time since I won't spend much time to enjoy the hotel facilities, so why not pay for the location.

Perfect location for a short break. Very close to Notre- Dame. Metro/RER to CDG stops just outside. So many places to eat. Fresh bakery just around the corner for breakfast. Good security to entrance via push button key pad and keyed internal door. Secure steel door to room. Room has modern T.V, fridge and microwave. Decent storage to hang clothes, also cupboards. Double bed is a fold out settee and is quite comfortable for two adults. Single bed is regular bed and my son who is 6ft slept well.Great value for money, only thing missing was some washing up liquid for the dishes.

Perfect location at the Latin quarter just five minutes walking from a beautiful sight of Notre Damme in the shore of the river Seine. The appartaments are also well connected by RER from the Airport Charles de Gaulle (About 30 minutes). You have also a supermarket at just ten minutes walking. Kind service, available at the times the web indicates. The rooms are clean, big and well equipped, the only inconvenients are the small bathroom and the lack of dish-cleaning equipment. In an overall view, the place is perfect for couples either for families. Highly recommended.

We arrived and there were no problems with the access code and key. I reserved for 5 days. The person who is always there was on vacations so there was a guy who was not there when he should have been. It was hard to find him and all the pasengers had problems. Fortunately the guy who cleaned the rooms was always there and solved our problesms. He was a blessing! The apartments are little, but comfortable and the place where it is situated is the best in Paris. The kitchen and the bathroom were a little old but everything worked as well.I wolud return but first asking if Zakyr is there!

Super small and the bathroom was pretty smelly. The instructions say that if you arrive within the hours listed, the concierge will be there. We did arrive during those hours, but he had left for the day. I was able to call him & get instructions on how to get in. Wifi connection was only in the hallways or the lobby. BUT the location is AMAZING & it was totally worth it to stay there. The concierge was friendly and very helpful when he was there.

We were travelling as a family of four and were spending our last 2 days in Paris before flying home to Australia. We had spent the first night of our holiday in a Novotel near the Gare De Lyon because we were taking an over night train to Venice the next day and then travelling on around Italy, returning to France to see some of the Tour De France before returning to Paris. we chose Le St Germain because of its location and based on its reviews. It is true that it was in a great location for sights and restaurants and for catching metro line to the airport. The split rooms themselves were small, dark and dim. They were hot at night and smoke drifted in from people smoking in other rooms when the windows were opened. The lower room included a fold out divan and kitchenette. The upper included toilet cubicle, shower and bedroom with twin beds. the beds were not particularly comfortable. the reception is manned at certain days and times but someone can be contacted if you have a phone. (someone in the bar next door helped us out with this). the reception were happy for us to leave our bags for collection later in the day closer to our flight time. On the whole, the Novotel proved to be better value for us at 173 euro for the night which included a full buffet breakfast. we probably would not stay at Le St Germain again.

The room was relatively good in the sense that it provided the basic amenities. For what we were paying, we knew not to expect 5 star quality amenities. What was disappointing was the bathroom which was not described or shown in the site. The shower is so small that to actually move my arms (to soap my body), I had to open the shower curtain. I think I have seen coffins with more space. On the plus side, the location is perfect. All the little bars and restaurants of St Germain are a stones throw away, there is a grocery around the corner and a supermarket a block away, pharmacies are nearby, the subway (which can also go straight to the airport) is a 5-minute walk, Notre Dam is a mere half kilometer away and you are close enough to the Siene river to enjoy a nice stroll anytime. But I still hate the bathroom. :)

This is a fantastic location, about 200 meters from metro on the opposite side of Cluny Museum. There are some minor details like you need to throw out your garbage by yourself, but location, functionness and quietness of the rooms is worth everything. I do not think we would be able to see so many things in one week in Paris with a 3-year old child if this property was not so nicely positioned.

I'm so happy to have found Le St.Germain for our 4-night autumn break:the location was simply perfect: central yet quiet for the nights, even RER from CDG stops nearby. Staff really friendly & helpful, no problem of getting the key in the evening of our arrival. The room was cosy, clean& spacious especially for Paris standards - we fitted in well with my 2 teen-ager sons, who were happy to find several well-equipped shops for comics nearby! And even the shower worked perfectly, which is not always the case. We'll certainly come again!

we recently stayed at the St Germain, traveling with 2 teenagers, so we booked the "quad" room. The room layout had a separate room with 2 single beds. The main room had a hide a bed. Once opened it left little room even to walk around. Kitchenette was functional and equipped. A grocery store 3 blocks away if you are planning meals. Location was excellent. 2 minutes to the metro and in the center of the restaurant area in the Latin Qtr. free wifi in the lobby (ask for password). only drawback was the noise travelled from adjoining apts. Maybe it was just back luck. elevator equipped. I.F. Aug 4, 2011

No staff on hand at check-in - we had to phone for front door code and key box code. If we hadn't had a phone this would have been difficult. It would have been nice to have a map included with the keys pointing out the nearest laundry, internet and supermarkets. Overall the room was as expected- a double fold out bed- not saggy, pillows awful and a single bed- very squeaky! Kitchen utilities great but no basic supplies not even washing up liquid or a sponge. Bathroom clean but old - shower small as per Europe and didn't drain properly - YUK! Room very noisy - traffic if windows open & could not get sleep for 2 nights due to neighbors talking loudly and no-one around to complain to. Lift worked. Room not service-stayed 5 nights- but wasn't advertised. Great location - walking distance to 2 metros, (the nearest being a straight through to CDG airport which was very handy on the last day as getting on / off metro trains is a nightmare with suitcases), and Notre Dame/Seine/Luxembourg Gardens.

Single no. room face the backyard of the building, hence there is no view but more quiet. Room size is smaller comparing to the pural no. rooms, particularly the shower room is way too narrow and make it very difficult for shower. Location is invincible, 2mins from Metro station. I'll stay here again but pay a bit more for the pural no. rooms.

Hotel is OK to stay 3-4 days. Location is great. However, it is a big problem with the reception. We arrived late and we had a big problem to get into the hotel. We called and sent e-mail several days before arrival to be sure we would not have any problems. We had the instruction how we could find our key, however, it was no key anywhere. We tried to figure out what we have to do now, at midnight in Paris, suddenly somebody brought our keys about one hour later. I do not know how it happened, but we were definitely lucky.

The big + is the location, in the heart of the quartier latin. This place is also convenient as one of the few appart'hotels in Paris : there is a convenient and correctly equipped cooking place, and a table for 4 pers. The - is the bed : a convertible sofa, but of good quality however. In terms of quality, the place would need some lifting. There were a few things to fix in my room (storage doors, shaver plug, bathroom sink, kitchen light, etc.) and the lighting was really minimalist. Not a luxury place, but ok for a short length holiday stay in Paris. Not really suited for one night of a professional traveller. No breakfast service, but there are plenty of bars in the surroundings. Also: the place is closed after 7pm: you have to call someone to get your key.

We stayed two days at Residence Le St Germain with my husband and our 21 months old daughter. It was the first time we went to this type of residence (instead of a hotel) and we loved the concept (especially when you have a toddler to look after). What was good: good price, fantastic location, room spacious and clean (Our room was a studio for 2/3 persons, I believe studios for two persons are much smaller). Close to a grocery store(Monoprix I believe) which is great if you want to prepare breakfast/dinner without spending a fortune. What was not so good: lift is incredibly small (a minor hassle for us), our room was on the street side so could be noisy if you leave the windows opened. Overall: great place to stay, excellent price for the location. We will go back again.

I stayed at the Hotel St. Germain in August 2009. Travelling with my family, we actually had two significantly different rooms to compare the differences. General The hotel is very well situated being only minutes from the St. Michel fountain and the Notre Dame Cathedral. The hotel does not have "beds". It has pull-out beds and cots, although the pull-out beds were surprising decent. As can be expected with most small Paris hotels, the stairs and the lift are very small. If you have large baggage, expect to be lugging it up the stairs. Room 1 - Two persons with baby Situated at the back of the hotel, this room was very quiet and allowed for the windows to remained open to try to cool the room. Unfortunately, there is very little breeze in the back so the room can get stuffy. The room was also VERY small for use with two adults and a baby. With the "bed" open, there was practically no space to put the crib, suitcase and table without some creative shifting and jamming. Room 2 - Three adults MUCH larger than the first room with more than enough space for everything. Also much louder than the first room as it was on the street with constant street noise. This was to be expected with the location. Overall, the hotel was a good deal for the location. However, one must be willing to forego some features and realize the room is to sleep in and not to enjoy.

I stayed here with my son and husband and although the room was small it was adequate for us. There was a small kitchenette but no toaster or kettle. Bit short on utensils but we got through with what we had to prepare meals at home with microwave and stovetop. Characteristic building and excellent location to Notre Dame, Sorbonne and transport, supermarkets, restaurants and main sites if you like a walk. Reception was very helpful despite not speaking much english. We loved our stay here and would certainly do it again. Our room overlooked the street which was great but noisy with windows open. Double glazed windows great when closed as minimal noise. Very small lift ok for one person or bags. Stairs very narrow and steep.

I was travelling with my sister, mom and aunt. We stayed in the duplex for 3 nights and could not have been happier. First we landed very late and it was no problem having someone there to meet us at midnight. Our rooms were clean, spacious and could not have asked for a better location. I immediately left the room to go explore! There were wine bars and bistros everywhere and it was absolutely beautiful. We could see Notre Dame from our window and could walk to it in under 10 mins. I would 100% recommend this apt house to stay in and in fact emailed the info to a friend going before I even came home.

The location was excellent and very easy to get to by train from the airport, there are lots of cafe's & restaurants close by and the area felt very safe, we stayed in a 3 bed apartment, there was one double and one single sofa bed, the only critisism is that the double sofa bed was very uncomfortable.

We really enjoyed this small but very covenient aparthotel. Excellent location if you are looking for a central place in Paris. Restaurants, shops and supermarkets around. Small kitchen but you don't need anything more to prepare your breakfast or a simple dinner (better to go to a restaurant. You're in Paris!). Nice and helpfull staff.

The location is truly amazing. Just off St. germain boulevard, surrounded by lots of caffes, although quite touristy. Best bit - about 5 minutes walking from Nottre Damme and the Metro. THe guy running the front desk was very polite and friendly. It's not quite a hotel but rather an apartment block in a 1800s building. The front desk staff is not there all the time so make sure you let them know if arriving "out of hours". Definately recommended as the location and cleanliness of the studio flats are a very good value for mone.

Hotel surroundings are excellent, and price-quality is good in terms of Paris Accommodation. At the invoice the Hotel included more than a Euro per day in terms of taxes, that there were no reflected at the web page.

Reservation service did not work at all, we were lucky to have a room...! Take notice of reception working hours, we arrived at lunchtime and had to wait until 4pm. Rooms differ in spaciousness and equipment. Good hotel for small groups on a budget as some self-catering is possible, there are small supermarkets nearby and lots of cheap restaurants/take-aways at St. Michel.

There was a misunderstanding at the apartment we stayed at. Our room was given to someone else and our group had to split into different rooms when we were originally supposed to be together. Thus, we stayed in one room for 2 nights and had to pack our bags to move across the hall to another room. The receptionist who worked there was not welcoming at all. Great location though and the rooms were very cute and clean with a nice view.
