Vacation Rental La Dolce Sosta - Lido di Ostia, Rome

It would have been nice to know that the owner of the bed & breakfast needed to be called directly prior to our arrival. When we got there, there was no sign or a way for us to actually get into the building where the bed & breakfast rooms were.

Frederico and family were excellent hosts, they went out of their way to help us with a restaurant, internet wi fi service,travel to metro station and around the area.

Breakfast was poor. Easy to get a train to Rome.

The B&B is a nice place to stay. The room was very spacious and comfortable but the private bathroom was not en-suite (it is separated by a public corridor).

Good money value, a most dedicated family operation. The size of the room varies, all of good modern standard. Walking distance to the beach and near to the tube/commuter train to ROME/airport. Good local shopping for self catering.

The key holder was very friendly and helpful...and very nice person.It was nice to communicate with her. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. It was easy to go to Rome by train...the train station was quite near. This place was difficult to find if you drove there. Otherwise I can recommend this B&B warmly,

The family was very nice, and actually picked us up at the metro station, and were able to arrange transportation to the airport, which was wonderful. There is no breakfast provided, but we were leaving for the airport so early in the morning it didn't matter, and there were kitchen facilities available had we needed them. There was also a washing machine available for a small price.

The owner/manager, Francesca (Salamone?), was very helpful and is developing a very nice B&B, which is within a regular complex of family apartments in Lido di Ostia. Dolce Sosta is a fine place for young people, or families with children, looking for a modestly priced B&B in a suburb of, rather than within, Roma. (The apartment is convenient to the Ostia Nord train stop, a quick trip into central Roma. Also close to the Fiumicino airport.) It is hard to find and was not especially quiet. Parking is on the street only. Local people were very helpful and the nearby pizza restaurant serves fine food. Thanks to Francesca!

Friendly owners, clean rooms, but the advertising on the internet is kinda misleading. The place definitely needs airco. The room situated in the front close to the main street suffers from a lot of traffic noise
