Giancarlo, who owns the place, is seriously one of the nicest people I have ever met. He picked us up at the B&B and took us out to a café while the room was cleaned. We had an awesome conversation, he gave us so many useful recommendations for the city. It was like visitin a friend. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, clean and fully equipped. The street is noisy, but it is Napoli! The whole city is noisy. Very central and everything you need is around the corner, just a couple of minutes walk to the old town. taxi, bus and ferry in front of the house. Nothing to complain about! Not at all!

We were very happy with our Christmastime stay at Latt' e Liett'. We chose this b&b due to the location (near a cousin we were visiting) but it is convenient for sightseeing as well. We really appreciated Giancarlo's friendliness and helpfulness. Our arrival did not happen at all as planned as our flight was unable to land in Napoli and was rerouted to Rome, we eventually were bussed in, arriving in the middle of the night. Giancarlo was very flexible about this and made arrangements with our cousin about the keys, saving a situation which could have been disasterous. That the breakfast is self-catered was also a plus in our situation, as we did not need to adhere to a schedule. I particularly like being able to have tea at the end of a long day out sightseeing. The drawback to this has been mentionned by others, in that the breakfast choices are the sort of pre-packaged foods that keep a long time. This was supplemented by suprise treats left by Giancarlo whenever he would come by. We stayed in the room called Capri, which has a great view of the port. The room is very attractively decorated, and cheerful Christmas decorations had been added. The bathroom and shower are large and comfortable. Although a few small items in the room are starting to wear out and could stand to be replaced. We were actually the only people there over Christmas. We weren't much troubled by noise, Christmas weekend did have a lot less traffic than on working days. There is TV and a wide range of channels, but no wifi or phone. Considering the setup, this makes sense and I don't see how it could be otherwise. We appreciated the tip from Giancarlo about the nearby SITA bus to Pompeii, it is very direct and not expensive. To be recommended.

Amazing experience. Giancarlo is a wealth of information and helpful advice. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast is in your room so you can eat whenever you like. The information on the city and surrounding area is most helpful. Beautiful view from the terrace. Will definitely return for an extended stay.

Great view of the port as well as Mt. Vesuvio - our host was charming, very helpful and thus made our stay as comfortable as possible. Our room had a kitchenette - perfect for preparing a quick meal after a long day walking the sights. Just in case you want to sleep in and not get up early - it might get a bit noisy since the hotel is located at a street full of traffic 24/7. Next time in Naples - we'll definitely stay there again!! Highly recommendable!

This accommodation met all our expectations. We found our way there with the directions provided by the owner and were met on our arrival. The rooms were lovely and we enjoyed breakfast on the balcony, even with the traffic noise! The daily treats left by the owner were lovely. We had two rooms, a front room and a rear room. The rear room is quieter for sleeping but we also enjoyed having the room with the balcony for enjoying meals or an afternoon drink. The location was very convenient for the ferries to Capri or Sorrento and it is a short tram ride to the train station. we also arrived from the airport by the airport bus and it was a short 10 minute walk to the b&b. The owner was happy to provide information on the sights around Naples and assist with restaurant recommendations etc.

Giancarlo and his mother offered very caring advice. They were the most friendly people we had met in Italy and with Giancarlo's 'local' knowledge we were able to enjoy a more personalised stay in Napoli. For those that are sensitive sleepers, I do advise earplugs, but the location of the apartments is a fair trade off. Also, you must pay for the wine in the fridge.

We stayed at the Latt'e'Liett as a base to visit Vesuvius, Pompeii & Naples itself and had a superb stay here. Giancarlo is a wonderful host; very welcoming & informative - there were leaflets on everything that you may wish to do, plus large maps with places of interest marked on them - there was even a list of recommended places to eat ( we tried 3 of them & were delighted with the quality of the food & the value for money) The accomadation was excellent & there was plenty of coffe, tea, juice, cereal, cakes etc for breakfast & one day we returned to find Giancarlo had left us a great big slice of Italian cake each !! The balcony overlooked the port with Vesuvius in the background which was fabulous. The only minus point for me was the noise of the traffic but being a very light sleeper, I always have ear plugs so it was not a problem & my husband slept perfectly soundly. We would definaltely stay here again if we returned to Naples.

I hardly ever have met such nice renters as Giancarlo and his Mom! They have been extraordinary welcoming and helpful. A great location and excellent host. Quiet and B&B is well placed for buses, trams and ferry or walking to explore this fascinating city. We were there in days before the elections and saw some of the passion for politics in Italy. Despite press reports, there were no piles of rubbish in the streets, just the usual litter. Piazza Municipio is a bit of a mess as they are building a new metro station. (There is an interesting exhibition at the National Archeology Museum of the finds during construction of the metro).

We enjoyed our stay very much. Dr Garraffa was very understanding when our flight was late into Naples and was very welcoming when we arrived at the building. Easy access to all transport for seeing Naples and surrounding area. A great balcony for watching life outside, with room for table and chairs. Although situated on busy main road. with double glazing we slept well. We highly recommend staying here.

This b&b was everything it was said to be by other guests - the host warm and welcoming and eager to be of assistance, the location an easy walk to all the sights, and best of all - the balcony looking right on the port. Even the luxury hotels don't give you room to sit and this is key especially if smokers are asked to only smoke on the balcony. Even in January we had our coffee out there with sunrise and wine with sunset. After a day in the narrow alleys of the old quarter trying not to get your toes run over, the wide open space from your balcony is much appreciated. You can watch the cruise ships park, the stars or lights across the bay twinkling, the clouds over Vesuvio, or, if you prefer, the 6-lanes of traffic down below and the fearless pedestrians crossing. You really can wander almost maplessly from here and stumble onto all the major sights such as the very nearby Piazza Plebiscito. There is a good little shop nearby (open till 8.30 p.m.) with fresh bread, mozzarella, antipasto, etc. Don't count on much for breakfast but the host did bring us some of his grandmother's cakes. I would definitely stay here again. Bring your sunglasses!

If you like a 'self service' situtation, this is a good place. This is a true apartment, and there are no hosts on site, you are responsible for the room once you check in. Nice location in Naples, with a great view of the port and part of Mt. Vesuvius, and in a safer, cleaner part of the city. If we had to point out anything wrong; there was no avalable phone, and the hot water ran out rather quickly, but over all we really enjoyed our stay there, and loved the ability to cook our own meals in the kitchen in the room. The room comes equipped with cooking utensils, and a fridge, which was very nice to store our food purchaces from the nearby market. The hosts (owners) are very kind, and helpful as well. Overall, a good place, that provided us with good memories.

We were warmly welcomed by Gianfranco when we arrived. he gave us some good adresses of restaurants and any information we needed. The B&B is well situated, but not exactly in the middle of the historic center (10' walk). We had a nice view on the harbour of Naples and on the Vesuve from the terrace of our bedroom. From the B&B, it took us 1' to go and catch a boat for Capri. Well, we enjoyed the B&B and would have appreciated a public space to meet other client, for breakfast for instance.

Giancarlo is an exceptional host. Even though he does not stay at the apartments, he visits each day and checks that all is well. He was wonderfully welcoming and provided lots of information about Napoli. The mini apartment was spotless and everything worked well. The location is excellent for visiting key sites, and also has restaurants around the corner - great if you're on your own. The balcony looks onto the port with Vesuvius in the background - I saw the Pope arrive, the QEII and fireworks over the bay! I certainly would stay again next time in Napoli :-)

Giancarlo and his mother Lia were very obliging hosts. Everything in the room and the surroundings was as described in the internet. We even got a room with seaview. If you have no problem with the traffic in front of the building it is a perfect apartment to discover Naples. We even had a little kitchen. So we could cook a full course dinner on our own and thus saved even a bit money. Thanks for that nice stay!

The location of B&B Latt' e Liett' was perfect. We didn't need any transportation and we could walk to everywhere in the center of the city. We were very happy to find the list of nice restaurants in our room and I think we never could find that kind of places alone. Special thanks for that! The owners were very nice and the wellcoming late in the night by the mother was also very nice. We were provided with a lot of information of the city. We were very happy of our stay in Naples and I'm sure to choose the B&B Latt' e Liett' when I return to Naples in the future. I also recommend the place to my friends.

*EN* Extremely good information of the owner by E-mail. From the airport we took Alibus (3€ each) directly to Piazza Municipio. Twice around a corner, we stood in front of the house with the big scaffolding. Over the courtyard (construction site) to staircase B, 2nd floor (5 ct. for the lift needed), arrived. After unsuccessful ringing we contacted Giancarlo by SMS and he was there within 20 minutes. We lived in "Ischia", one of the two rooms to the sea; a 3rd looks to the courtyard's construction site, loud on weekdays (early Feb 2007). The room behind strong save doors was very clean, big enough and offered a comfortable folding couch (mattress, eiderdown), CD radio, TV, refrigerator, sink, 2 hotplates, pots and pans, even a traditional Bialetti mocha-maker as well as hair-dryer, air-conditioner and a small bathroom within the room. Street noise is successfully locked out by a soundproof window; for people used to silence, nevertheless, noticeable. From the balcony you can watch the chaotic traffic, look to the harbour with its ferries and with clear view to the enormous Vesuvius. Sitting on the bed every morning at 7 we enjoyed watching a beautiful sunrise. For breakfast marmalade, biscuits, rusk, cakes, juice, tea, coffee, milk, sugar are there to be used. You can buy more at the Minimarket in the near. Giancarlo is a careful host, provides you with detailed information and is constantly available. We felt well cared. Payment in cash at arrival. For trips to the city or surroundings an ideal position. The old part of the town is exciting for newcomers, if only because surviving walking on foot. Bring peace and calmness. For a short trip to Napoli again at any time!

Excellent value for money. We received a wonderful greeting by Giancarlo's mother who took her time talking to us and giving us recommendations even though it was Christmas Eve and I know she was busy. The room was very clean and extremely cute. Be aware that the bed is a fold out sofa bed, which was fine, just not something I had realized from looking at the web page. And the tile floors are very cool and slick; make sure to keep your shoes on or bring slippers with treads - socks can be dangerous! :) There is construction going on in the courtyard of the building which I could imagine could be quite loud if you were in a room on the interior (There are 3 rooms, sharing a common hallway; 2 face out onto the street and one of them faces inward.) The surrounding area isn't exactly "quaint" (busy street, scaffolding, etc) but there isn't a lot of Naples that is, and we felt very safe because of multiple locked doors. There were cafes and pizza places nearby, and a good grocery store, and the owners recommended the best. There was a lot of information and recommendations for activities provided, the owner was extremely helpful and welcoming, and the B&B was conveniently placed for arrival by boat as well as public transport to other areas of the city. We walked almost everywhere, however. We loved Naples and really enjoyed our stay, and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Hello Giancarlo! Our honeymoon had gotten off to an bad start, dealing with the evilness that is AirFrance, but once we finally arrived (sans luggage!) Giancarlo was there to meet us and instantly make us feel better. He loaned us a coat for the unseasonably cold weather till our luggage arrived, and shared his favorite Naples dining spots with us. We had a great time, we only wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a wonderful stay in Naples which fitted our budget perfectly. The greeting and subsequent meetings with our host and his mother made us feel very welcome and provided lots of useful information about the area. There is a large amount of information in the form of brochures provided to guests about the local area, things to do and see etc. Don't be put off by first impressions especially of the location and building, once inside you'll find a relaxing and comfortable environment following a busy day in the city. The traffic has to be seen to be believed and we spent enjoyable evenings marvelling at the Italian driving skills from our balcony.Any minor problems we had were attended to by our host who was easily contactable. We would recommend this accomodation and would visit again ourselves. It is very easy to reach via the Alibus from the airport and railway station, with the ferry port just across the road making it ideal for visits to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Capri.

Great connections to the harbour, city centre and to the airport. We appriceated the info material on Naples provided in the hall. The welcome we got was very warm and friendly. We felt that the owners took good care of us. The room was very clean and comfortable and we liked the decoration as well. The balcony with a view to the harbour was nice. The kitchenette was handy: we could make ourselves breakfast or snack any time we liked. The bathroom was modern, spacious and clean. During our stay in late July it was very warm in Naples but we had a good night's sleep thanks to the air condition. We sure know where to stay next time we travel to Naples!

Absolutely brilliant...We arrived late in the evening due to plane delays, and we were still met with a smiling face. The apartment was self contained and had everthing that you could need (including breakfast..unlike some other places we stayedin!) The apartment is opposite the port, which was brilliant for day trips to the islands. It is also only a tram ride from the central station and is easy to get to from the airport. Although we only stayed for 3 nights we would happily have stayed for longer. The owner is very friendly and easily contacted by phonecall or by sms. Set out in the apartment is a lot of useful information about the area and places to visit. All in all this was one of my favourite places to stay in Italy and i would DEFINITELY go back and stay there again! :)

At the end of March we spent 4 days in Latt' e Liett'. It was very easy to get to the address from the airport by bus. The owner, Giancarlo, gave us a really warm welcome. His information about Naples was brilliant, we got all necessary things from maps of Naples to recommendations of restaurants, sights and shopping facilities. The apartment is very comfortable with all you need, the view to the Bay of Naples and the Vesuv is amazing. Only the Italian breakfast (cake, biscuits, espresso) needs getting used to but with all the bars around you can also manage to get coffee and a sandwich in the morning. We entirely recommend Latt' e Liett' and spent unforgetable days in Naples.

Giancarlo was an excellent host. He was concerned about our comfort, had good resource materials for us to use to plan our days, and he was always ready with suggestions and recommendations. I was travelling with my cousins. We had 2 rooms (there are a total of 3). We had a table and chairs, fridge, stovetop and some cookware, sink, everything needed for breakfast. 2 rooms have a seaview. The bed was a fold out couch that was VERY comfortable. This made the room accomodating for relaxing during the day. Everything was clean and comfortably furnished. Overall, it was an excellent value for the price. I would definitely stay here again. (Giancarlo and his family do not live on the premises but he came by daily to make sure everything was okay. He was always reachable by telephone.)Thank you for a very nice stay!

Very kind landlord, gives a lot of information, surprises his guests with samples of his favorite cakes. The location, on first sight far from the station, is 50 meters from the stop of the Alibus (shuttlebus to the station and the airport) and in front of bus- and tramwaystops. Nice view on the Vesuvio and over the harbour, with dayly changes by big ships coming and going. Naples is very noisy by the intensity of the traffic but everything technically possible has been done to keep the noise out of the room, at least in a way that it didn't bother us. Many nice pizzerias, trattorias and hostarias at walking distance. If you don't know which to pick - ask your landlord Giancarlo: he likes good food too! Good to know when your'e intended to stay longer: rooms are cleaned and linen changed every third day. Only thing to be warned about: the warm water supply is limited so save some warm water for the next one to have a shower too. Excellent place to stay in Napoli!

With my wife we visited Napoli and we really enjoyed with all the apartment and the trip. It was very close (walking) to the old Napoli and to the ferry leaving for Capri or Sorrento.

Giancarlo, the owner of the B&B, was very welcoming, and always asked us if everything was fine. Though he is not always available, he would check the rooms once a day and see if we had any questions or messages to him. The only issue was the shower, which we sometimes had to wait for the hot water, but otherwise, we enjoyed staying in the room of this B&B.

A beatifully renovated & well-equipped apartment-type room with small dining area, cooker, fridge with tea, coffee, milk biscuits provided. A fold-down sofa bed (make it yourself) & DIY breakfast (we chose to eat breakfast at cafe across the road) might not suit everyone. The location is perfect for both ferries & the Alibus to & from the airport (the stop is just 100 yards round the corner in Piazza Municipio) & within easy walking distance of Via Toledo & the Chiai area. I would certainly recommend this as a place to stay but it is more suitable for self-catering. Giancarlo, the owner, was most welcoming & very helpful in offering information & advice. This is great value for money: but be warned that from the outside it looks dreadful. It is situated on the second floor of an old building that houses several offices & is in the process of being renovated. When we first arrived (& had to wait around for almost an hour because of confusion over the agreed meeting time) we were filled with foreboding: it is impossible to imagine the little gem of a place that lies within!

Latt' e Liett' is a brilliant B&B! We were made to feel most welcome and the amount of information available on Naples and the surrounding area was amazing. We would definately stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who wants some well-priced, well-placed accommodation in Naples.
