877-662-6988The mansion, nestled in a peaceful and green area, only half a mile from the historic center of Montepulciano, is perfect for pleasant and relaxing holidays surrounded by a thriving nature. The place is said to be named after a spring that supposedly flowed from a niche for religious worship. In the past Fontecastello was a convent in the heart of a valley within a forest called the Bosco di Zoccoli.
The Podere Fontecastello farmhome consists of four independently accessible apartments. At their disposal guests will find a fireplace or heaters, individually controlled heating, ample garden where it is also possible to eat in the shade of the two huge nut-trees, and a terrace to sunbathe or relax.

We spend a week in Fontecastello and it was just greet! The farmhouse is really close to the city and the Autostatione (center bus station). Also the supermarket and the tennis court was very close. The weather was very nice for middle of March during the day, but every evening we heated up the fire place and it was really romatic and we had lot's of fun. We had breakfast every morning on the poarch and my little dog could enjoy the garden. She had the best time I guess! Antonella could speak very good english, and we could talk "italian" with the other part of the family too. Unfortunately we could use the swimming pool and the jacuzzi because of the weather, and the montenbikes because of the oldness of the wheels. Anyway our apartment was soo big for two of us, with a big kitchen and living room together, a hug bedroom and a bathroom. I can strongly recommend this place for wine- and city tour funs too, because you could reach Siena, Firenze easily and you are in the middle of the three famous Toscan wine area: Chianti, Montalcino (Brunello) and Montepulciano (Vino Nobile)!

The Podere Fontecastello farmhome is made up of three apartments and one independent annex (cascina, cottage): la Doppia hosts up to 5 people (4+1), la Scala hosts up to 4 people (2+2), la Loggia is for maximum 3 people (2+1) and la Cascina is for 2 people.All accommodations, besides being very spacious, are built in stone and have been renovated to that they preserve the original shapes and the farm atmosphere, using natural, warm and welcoming materials such as wood and terracotta.
