Very nice place, good location.

Very nice B&B, located in the center of the quiet and beautiful city of Montalcino. Yopu have to help ypurself for breakfast but is was OK for us. The room could be more clean. We were on the second floor facing the fortress, it was very quiet (we slept windows opened) and not warm although we did not have air conditionning.

We were not very happy about services provided. The hotel was cosy and a location good but the service really bad. The room was not cleaned during our stay and nobody was giving any service in the breakfastroom. No juice in the juice machine and not any instruction how to use the coffemaker. All in all a bit a strange place.

Room and bed were very nice, pillows were not very good. Location is excellent, in town nice view of the fortress. Bike race the day we were leaving, but does not not explain all the noise that happened from 3:00 A.M. till 6:00 A.M. . Sounded like they were building something in the parking lot out front, nothing there in the morning but a Radio station bus and 2 sponsers cars. I would recommend the IL RIFUGIO D'ALTRI TEMPI to anyone wanting to stay in Montalcino.

Location is great and rooms were quite nice. Breakfast is not super but we didn't expect more. Mario was very helpful to arrange us a free parking place even during the big local festival when all places were really crowded. I would be happy to come back!

Was a nice stay, well located and good price. But the room wasn#t cleaned during our 5 day stay, which gets to you if you don't expect it, and cannot wash towels yourself. Breakfast service totally self-service but nobody explained coffee-maker and if you are late (us 10am) no more bread or yoghurt. Mario very helpful with internet, but when he explained coffeemaker on request, he made coffee for himself not me. Very forthcoming that they waited for us when we arrived late at 2h30 am.

Perfect location, great view, lovely room. If only the bed hadn't been full of tiny red spiders!

The location is across the street from a castle which is kind of cool, just like the photos indicate. Parking is use of public parking nearby. We arrived when a mtn. biking convention was going on so there were scads of people around and parking was scarce. The hotel B&B is nice and comfortable with a private bathroom attached. Breakfast was adequate and reasonable. They were the first place to offer us whole grain cereal and milk/yogurt of all the places we stayed. This was a nice change from the typical bread/toast/pastry/cake fare we have been getting from others. The welcome we got was more professional and not warm and friendly. It felt more like a hotel and less a home B&B which it wasn't trying to be so maybe this is all to be expected.
