We spent 2 nights in the hotel. We were 2 adults and 4 children and we booked 2 rooms. At the check in we've been told that we were upgraded for a suite with 2 bedrooms instead of 2 suites with 1 bedroom. The extra large bed is sufficient for 3 children but not for 4 so it was not really confortable for the children ! We were also surprised to learn that only 2 breakfast were included instead of 4 that was planned at the booking. Finally after discussion, the hotel didn't charge us the 2 more breakfasts. THe view on the bay is splendid and the room was very clean. The hotel is a little noisy.

Excellent property and staff. Only drawback was that during my stay the wi-fi service was not working. No safe deposit boxes in the rooms.

Room Details

Accommodation at your oceanfront hotel in Miami will certainly exceed your expectations in terms of inexpensive lodging, particularly for this popular area of Florida. All of the suites have a private bathroom and are non-smoking, although smoking is permitted on the balcony from which you can see panoramic views of the bay or Miami centre.

Guests can choose Standard and Executive one-bedroom suites, or two-bedroom City or Bay View suites which can sleep 4 people, rendering this hotel ideal for families on a budget. Each suite is tastefully decorated and there is a fully-equipped kitchen giving guests the option of self catering, and a washer-dryer. The living room area has a sofa-bed, cable TV with a VCR player, and a CD player so you can keep the kids occupied whilst making the dinner.

From the Interstate 95: take the I-95 South and take Exit 2 (SE 7th Street). Continue on this road and then turn left onto SE 8th Street. Proceed to Brickell Avenue and turn right. Continue on Brickell Avenue and turn left onto 14th Terrace. Continue for 30 metres and you will see the Fortune House Hotel on your left next to the Four Seasons Hotel.
From Route 1: follow Route 1 South. Route 1 then becomes Brickell Avenue. Follow Brickell Avenue to SE 14th Terrace. you will see the Fortune House Hotel on your left next to the Four Seasons Hotel.
