Cozy little "apartment" in a piazza, not a hotel kind of arrangement, which we found refreshing, especially when we dined at our kitchen table watching the passersby...

Anna is very welcoming and helpful. The apartment is great - one large noisy double room en suite( with additional single beds ) over looking the street and one large double ( with additional single beds )with separate bathroom at the rear which is dark but quiet. The living space is small but just about adequate with 2 sofabeds and a basic kitchen area - no oven but there is a dishwasher. The location was brilliant - no need for a car at all - its central within Lucca within the city walls and within walking distance to bus and train stations .There are 2 short flights of stairs to the apartment and a couple within the apartment. I would recommend this apartment - it would sleep 6 comfortably- and could take more.

Cozy little "apartment" in a piazza, not a hotel kind of arrangement, which we found refreshing, especially when we dined at our kitchen table watching the passersby. Friendly owners Anna and Benito transported us to and from the train station, and were always available by phone. Definitely, we'd recommend them, and this sweet casa for a stay inside of Lucca.

This was my first time staying at the apartment 'Zita' I Borghi in Lucca. The owners are lovely - so helpful, accommodating, and welcoming. The apartment itself is housed in a building dating back to the 15th century, yet affords the modern comforts with everything you need for a good base from which to explore Lucca and beyond. The building is clean, quiet; the unit is well-decorated and is great to cook in and relax with traveling companions. The apartment is conveniently located close to a gourmet gastronomic food shop, a bakery, a laundry, a cafe and a nice friendly bar, not to mention bike rentals around the corner. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone staying in Lucca and I hope to stay there again. It was difficult to say goodbye.

The stay in Lucca was wonderful in every aspect! The apartment is spacious and very comfortable. Of course the price (140€/day) is a bit much for a family, but we found Lucca and the apartment worth every sent! This apartment would easily accommodate two couples/small families, because both bedrooms have their own bathrooms. The lack of air conditioning wasn't a problem at all, even though the outside temperature in the end of July was exceptionally high. A special thanks to Anna, the owner, who made us feel at home immediately. She also took us from/to the railway station.

The staff (Anna) was very friendly and was very flexibel. The room is nice and is located ideally in the Old Town of Lucca. Parking place was also available (5 Euro/day). I would recommend it very much!

A fabulous place to stay in a lovely town. Lucca, and I Borghi, were the highlights of my trip to Italy. Hostess Anna was most kind and gracious. I could not have been more pleased with the experience.

We stayed at the smaller apartment – ‘Zita’. It was comfortable in the bedroom for three of us – 1 double bed, 1 single. The bathroom and living/kitchen area are tiny, but proved fine for us. There was a slight problem storing baggage, and the sofa in the living area has seen better days – it is quite uncomfortable, with the wooden frame sticking into you. The owners met us at the station, and returned us there, eve though quite early on a Sunday morning. You couldn’t have asked for nicer, more accommodating people. We liked Lucca immensely, and especially hiring bikes to ride round the walls. The apartment was a few steps away, and very handy to all other points of interest in this compact but fascinating city. I would possibly stay in the larger apartment if there were 3 of us next time, but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend I Borghi. The basics are all in place, the owners are wonderful, and the location is stupendous. The photos on the website don't distinguish very well between the larger and smaller apartment, and make the living area of Zita look a little larger than it is.

Terrific location and quite a good property but the finishing touches were missing. Linen, bed spread and towels were old, thin & tired which gave a rather shabby look to the room/property. A not too costly investment in this area would have given the whole place a lift. Owners were delightful and very welcoming.

A compact, clean, comfortable & utterly charming apartment, suitable for a couple only. Situated close to the main shopping street of Via Fillungo, with many good gastronomic emporia, restaurants and bars nearby. Being in such a 'buzzy' location meant it could a bit noisy at night, so bring your earplugs! Great to watch the world go by from. Very, very warm welcome from hosts Anna & Benito, who kindly collected us from the bus station on arrival and returned us there at the end. We both felt that we had two friends we could call on readily in the event of problems.

It would be helpful if the street number was listed on venere.com, as it would make it easier to find when catching a taxi.

The location is superb. The facilities provided are good, though we have some minor suggestions that would have made them excellent- We arrived by taxi- a number on the door would have made it easier to find. The partment is poorly lit; the brightest light was only 40W, make it difficult to read anything; some 60 or 100W lights are needed. A little more cutlery would help. The "very important" instructions re garbage disposal were not clear. A phone would be nice, and a washing machine more useful than a dishwasher. None of these comments would deter us from retrning some time. Thanks.

The owners are very friendly and helpful, they picked us up at Lucca bus station. The apartment is vey pleasent and clean, its location is vey good close to all the local shops. There is some traffic noise at night but I would not let this put you off staying here.
