El Sombrero Apartments Los Gigantes - Los Gigantes

Poor reception on arrival in that we had to find our own way to the apartment going down 3 sets of stairs in addition to negotiating the pool with 2 suitcases. The apartments are basic and need air conditioning desparately. Kitchen area is very tired as is the bathroom. Balcony overlooking the road can be a bit noisy during the day but are definitely preferable to those overlooking the pool area (which is really small and packed with sun loungers like sardines in a tin!) because of the noise of people using the pool area until 9pm at night, generally English people! Good restaurants locally, especially Typsy bar across the road, Asturias bar in square and El Pescador in centre. Avoid the La Bodeguita restaurant, food very poor. Visited Los Gigantes on many occasions in the past and always stayed at the Los Gigantes Hotel but it was closed this time for complete renovations. Will always return there in future.
