Lisbon Serviced Apartments - Bairro Alto - Lisbon

Apartment was good, excellent location, however opposite the apartments was a drinking club (cheap 1 euro per shot to pack them in and get them pissed) which ran from 10 p.m. to 2 or 3 a.m. this was very noisy with regular raucous behaivour, usually spilling onto the road outside, most of the night so very little sleep. The reason for a room at its most basic is to sleep, if you can't do that the accomodation is pointless so I can't recommend this property to anyone unless your stone deaf or don't go to bed before 3 a.m.

This hotel was the best. We were 4. 2 couples and we were happy with almost everything. the person in contact with us was named Paul and he brilliant. best location in Bairo alto and very clean. It did not have kettle which was the only bad point.

The apartment was spacious,clean and minimalist. It has everything you need except for English TV entertainment. Excellent apartment for young people but not for the older traveller. We had to move to a hotel after 5 nights of little sleep. During the day time the area is typical of Bairro Alto but at around midnight things change. The ?houses? opposite the apartment open their doors and start to become little pubs. The streets party that ensues carries on and peaks at around 4am as crowds chant,sing and shout. At 7am the street cleaners move in which effectively gives the guest around 3 hours of sleep per night. Ear plugs did not work!

Close to downtown, walking distance, but far enough not to be disturbed. Grocery store around the corner makes it easy to pickup food on the way back from the city. All sights within walking distance. Room comfortable, roomy, kitchen has all supplies needed. Plenty of places to eat, many stores on the main shopping district with sales. Safe location, good value for your money. Seventh floor rooms in the back have a deck where you can layout and get a tan during the summer.
