Atalos Villas - Kamari

Room simple but very clean, everything necessary was there. Reasonable close to the seaside (2-300 meters), market and a car rental very close to the hotel. Swimming pool always clean, breakfast simple but high quality: we have had breakfast every morning in the hotel. Incredible quality/price ratio. 5 minutes far from the airport. The owner is available for any request

The hotel is very nice and the manager is helpful. The room was very large and comfortable. Altogether a good accomodation for a reasonable price.

The owner is very very nice and kind person. We enjoyed staying very much! If we will come back to Kamari, of course, we'd like to come to Atalos Villas again.

Nice hotel in a quiet area.

It was a real treat to stay at Atalos Villas. The hotel is attractive, comfortable and well taken care of. The rooms were well maintained, clean and comfortable. We had #1 which had a nice patio right beside the bar area and made it easy for a more private breakfast. The kitchen was minimalist but met our basic needs (no drip coffee maker so we had to drink Nescafe - which was not that bad). The bathroom was clean & in good repair although the shower stall was small and awkward - the curtain did not wrap around the shower but went straight across leaving the toilet open to the shower. It had a good hand shower and all the hot water required for three people. (It was one of the best showers we had in Greece). The hospitality of the host Yanni (and his wife) was outstanding - from providing good information, to straightening our our Athens hotel booking when we had to stay an extra night because we could not get a ferry on the day we planned, to arranging a good car rental deal ($100 for a Jeep for 2 days), to driving us to the port (which is not usually included in the service - we tried to compensate him but he refused. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Atalos. PS - Check out the open air Cinema in Kamari beach - we lucked into an excellent live music concert that made our Santorini trip extra special. Also - rent a car and drive the whole island - it is not expensive and if you drive slowly and cautiously there is nothing to worry about. Also - you must have a motorcycle license to drive the scooters or you are limited to a quad (many people were not aware of this rule)

Young couple: Booked hotel last minute in highest season - 2nd week of August. The owner waited for us to arrive to give us our key even though our boat got in at 2 am! Very personal, friendly management. It is defintely the best hotel for a mid-range budget.

If you are looking for the best value for your stay in Kamari Beach, this is the hotel for you. The hotel owner was very welcoming--served us juice as soon as we arrived, drove us to the bus station, answered all of our questions. The cement bed frame, cement end tables, and sparse bedding left a little to be desired, but the room had a balcony, kitchen with dishes (which staff washed daily)was clean, spacious, and close to the beach. The pool was very nice as well. An exceptional value for the money!!!

This was a tremendous value! Giannas is very accomodating, the place was really clean, safe and spacious. For some travelers who want to be IN the action, they might choose a hotel in FIRA, PERISSA or OIA, although if you are on a budget, you might sacrifice quality if you stay in those areas? For us, we were totally content at Kamari Beach! The other hotels around Atalos were also WAY more expensive and looked to be about the same as Atalos. It was also very family friendly, perfect if you have kids. The beach is 10 min. walking and there is a great pool. There is also a little bar- cafe on-site.

I've stay only two nights in Atalos Villas .It was a good stay.Hotel itself ok- it's a good ratio quality-price.I didn't like beach- too strong waves and slippery stones when you get to the water. The owner of hotel, Yanis, is a very helpful person (even he droves us free of charge to Fira bus station). His wife Irini speaks Russian and I have had got helpful tips from her side too.So, I can recommend this hotel for everybody(it's close to airport and to the beach).

Per many positive reviews, I decided to stay in this hotel for the price even though I was not quite convinced with pictures and some comments. To me at least, it was just fine but nothing was very exciting about this hotel. Owner was nice and kind but we didn't have much interaction with him. Location was good although there were more hotels that are close to the beach. Breakfast was a plain continental one. To the bus stop, it takes 15 minutes FYI. WE didn't use any other facilities or services in the hotel so can't say much about them. One thing to remember is don't expect to have a hot shower in the morning. I'm still wondering why people left such rave reviews for this hotel. For your info, Kamari is nice and offer good and reasonable shopping - best during my trip in Greece (we went to Mykonos and Athens) Good restaurants. I liked the area. But if you are a go-everywhere person, find a hotel in Fira where the bus hub is. Oia is too quite.

Great budget hotel, with good sized rooms. The property and rooms were very clean. The owners are extremely nice and helpful with recommendations and transportation to the airport.

We had a lovely time at Atalos Villas & only have good things to say about it :). Here are the key points: 1. Location - Walking distance from Kamari beach 2. People - Run by a Greek family, Yanis & his wife + some staff. Yanis is a great host - very courteous and helpful. 3. Facilities provided - Airport / Seaport pick-ups & drops included. Breakfast provided (good spread including toasts, croissants, juice, coffee). Internet access / Wi-Fi provided. Free parking. Pay-phone right in the hotel premises. Yanis also arranges car/bike rentals at competitive rates. 4. Rooms - Spacious, clean. With airconditioning, TV, refrigerator, cooking range. Nice balcony outside each room. 5. Swimming pool & Jacuzzi. 6. Picturesque ambience, nice decor. 7. Phenomenal room-rate - Brilliant value at less than 50Euros per night. All-in-all, a DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED place. Live in Atalos Villas @ Kamari, hire a car & explore the wonders of Oia, Imerovigli, Firostefani! :-)

Very good Value for the money....Way UNDER PRICED!!!!! Hotel staff is very nice!!!!

Giannis does not speak English very well, which caused some confusion. He was supposed to pick us up from the bus stop but told us to take a taxi when we called. We ended up trying to find it on foot which took forever, but in the end our room was decent and we were only a few blocks from the beach.
