We stayed at La Loggia for 4 days in September with our teenage daughter. We were met by our host at the apartment , even though we were running late. He was very helpful and pleasant. The apartment was very nice with all we could need. There were even a great variety of breakfast supplies. The Apartment is perfectly located close to Ponte Vecchio and within an easy walking distance to everything you would want to see. Restaurants and cafes were all very close. We really enjoyed our stay in Florence and this apartment. Would definitely recommend it to our friends and family.

Perfectly placed to wander the streets of Florence with several excellent restaurants a stone's throw away from your front door. Firm beds and lovely breakfast provided. Sofa not made for lounging but after a day of sight seeing and an excellent evening meal it was usually straight to bed. The church bells would wake me up for a count early morning but otherwise there was no noise.

We loved the the apartment in Florence it was very large and really beautiful. The location was absolutely perfect. The apartment was fully stocked with water and all kind of goodies for breakfast. The only negative it was impossible to get in touch with the owner when there was a slight problem with the kitchen sink and the electric stove

We enjoyed our stay at La Loggia very much. The owner, mr Aqcuisti, was very kind and helpful, the apartment was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and in an excellent location, close to all the major sights both sides of the river.

This is indeed one of the best kept secrets among B&B's in Florence. For location, space, owner's care and price, it's very difficult to find anything else better than La Loggia. Thank you, Franco! We'll come back!

We (two couples) loved this place for our 3 nights in Florence. Franco (the owner) was very friendly, he greeted us on arrival, helped us with luggage, showed us the apartment, left us the keys and his telephone number, and the apartment was ours. The apartment is located in the heart of old Florence, 2 blocks from the Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria. The apartment is nice size, clean, well appointed, on the 4th floor (with elevator), many windows, view of the Pallazo Vecchio tower, 2 bedrooms (1 King, 1 w/ Bunk Beds), kitchen and bath, and very quiet at night. The owner stocks the kitchen with self-serve breakfast foods (milk, yogart, croissants, breads, coffee, nutella, etc.) and bottled water. We definitely recommend this place for families or group of friends. We were very comfortable and pleased with every aspect.

The room was very clean, tidy and comfortable. The staff prepared lots of daily products for breakfast beforehand, which was very helpful and kind. easy to access to many sightseeing places, too. I'm sure we will go back to La Loggia when we visit Firenze again.

Overall, this was our worst experience, but it has so much potential. The location is absolutely fabulous! The first night, we were thrilled to have a lot of space compared to other small rooms we were staying in. We bought a bottle of wine and grabbed some pizza and relaxed in the kitchen/living area. Our second day after we showered, we noticed the raunchy smell from the shower drain. The shower didn't drain and the smell was horrible! We tried to get them to fix it, but could not communicate over the phone. Both my husband and I did not sleep well that night for some reason and we left the next morning without taking a shower. We were quite disappointed since this is the hotel we splurged on cash compared to hotels for the rest of the trip.

I recently stayed at La Loggia for 4 nights in mid-September and I cannot recommend this property highly enough. It is a fantastic jewell in a spectacular location in the heart of historical Florence, mere steps from the Ponte Vecchio, yet secreted away on a quiet winding cobblestoned street. This is no mere hotel or B&B in the traditional sense. This is an apartment in a beautiful old Florentine building. The apartment is spacious and clean and flooded with light from huge windows in all the rooms that open onto the rooftops and interior courtyards of the neighborhood. I have lower back issues but the bedding here is firm and supportive and super comfortable. The bathroom is large and roomy and it too has huge shuttered windows with picturesque views. If all this wasn't enough, the cost of this gorgeous apartment with full kitchen is less than most small cramped hotel rooms. It is a phenomenal deal, a price for value ratio that is almost too good to be true. But it is true. A truly wonderful place to stay in Florence. I could not have been happier with all aspects of this apartment.

Located in the historical center of Florence but in a very quiet street. The apartment is spacious and just perfect for a family. A garage is (luckily) very close to La Loggia to park your car during your stay bearing in mind that you cannot park elsewhere. Our stay in Florence was wonderful We can only recommend La Loggia to anyone who plans to stay in Florence for few days

La Loggia was an excellent place to stay in Florence. The location was ideal for seeing all the sites. However, it is critical that you realize that this is an apartment. You must make arrangements with the owner to pick up the keys. This is mentioned in the cancellation policy. You prepare your own breakfast from food provided. As long as you understand the above, this was the perfect place to stay in Florence.

Excellent location (better than hotels near the Duomo in my opinion), spacious room, nicely decorated, and we loved the full kitchen the most. This is a perfect place for 2-4 people, with a preference for self service. Had a slight problem with Venere.com reservations, but it all worked out. Would definitely come back!

La Loggia is an excellent find. This was our first experience renting from Venere. Franco, the apartment owner, was responsive to our e-mails, and came directly to the apartment after our arrival phone call when we got off the train in Florence. Franco welcomed us and made us feel comfortable and at home. The apartment served our family of 6 well. It's in a perfect location, close to the center of all the major sights. Lovely dinner at Tratoria Nell just 5 doors down the block. I reccomend this apartment highly and will stay again upon our next visit.

Good place. It's more an apartment than a B&B. It's a remodeled 2-bedroom apartment in a building close to Ponte Vecchio. The breakfast is provided but self catered. The location is good, very central. To get into the apartment you need to call a number in the wall and the owner will be there within 15' to welcome you. It's a 2 bedroom apartment, with living and kitchen and a bathroom. We felt it was a great choice, we had a apartment in downtowm Florence. Ideal for families.

Some things about La Loggia are wonderful - great location, attractively renovated, and inexpensive compared to many other Florence options. The rooms were small but comfortable, it was nice to have a refrigerator & some cooking facilities, bathroom was great. We found that not having a phone available was a drawback.

A great self contained property in a fantastic location. Conveniently located just minutes from great spots such Ponte Vecchio, The Uffizi Gallery and not far from Il Duomo. The owner was an easy going and friendly guy, who was available by phone or email any time we needed advice or assistance. There is a nice little grocery store just down the street where you can get all you need for a home cooked dinner, but if you'd rather not cook there are two great restaurants a few doors down as well.

La Loggia is a beautiful self-catering apartment in the centre of Florence. The apartment has a large double room and living room/kitchen area and a smaller twin room. The apartment was clean and nicely decorated and provided with towels and some nice little extras like milk, croissants and bottled water in the fridge. The best thing about the apartment is the excellent location, about 2 min walk from Ponte Vecchio and all of the main sites in Florence. There are also a number of lovely reasonable restaurants on the same street and the next street to the apartment. This was a wonderful choice which we were really happy with. A beautiful apartment in an excellent location.

This is a great apartment for a family of four as it has two bedrooms and a living/kitchen area. The pictures do not do it justice. The location is fabulous; restaurants close by and a short walk to the Pontevecchio, shopping and major sites. The owner "Franco" was very gracious and warm but he is not located on site. Remember to let him know ahead of time what time you will arrive so that he can meet you there. Otherwise you may be waiting for half an hour or 45 mintues. Its one of several apartments in the building so there is only a little sign on the front of the building to let you know that you are in the right place.

Fantastic Apartment! Stayed here for 4 nights in October 2007, and couldn't have been happier with the location (only a few minutes walk from the ponte vecchio or the uffizi), spaciousness, and amenities. Mr Aquisti met us on arrival and explained how everything works. There are also supplies such as italian breakfast supplies (packaged), tea/coffee, flavoured milks, chocolates/sweets, butter/oil/basalmic etc, so self-catering was very easy, cooked a few nice dinners in the apartment. There is a tiny lift so you don't have to struggle up the stairs with your bags. Quiet apartment block, never had any trouble with noise. Tip for the Uffizi - ring up in advance to get a booking number - we did this and it saved us about 1 - 2 hours standing in line.

This is a great place to stay in Florence - we could not believe how really central and yet quiet. Two excellent and good value restaurants in the same street (in direction of Ponte Vecchio). Mr Aquido (sorry wrong spelling) was very helpful to allow us in at 2pm on the dot. Definitely stay again as it a lovely oasis in the city. Only problem was the map suggests it is on the Piazza when in fact it is about halfway along the street towards the Ponte Vecchio - worth changing the map for confused simpletons like us!

We stayed 9 magical nights in this 14th-15th century precinct, in the heart of Firenze. Air conditioning systems excellent. (Take care not to turn on ALL air-con units and ALL cooking units at the same time - the system cannot - and should not - cope at the height of summer.) The kitchen/living is small but comfortable and a good base for day and night. Bedroom/bathroom/bunkroom all generous proportions and excellent sanctuaries. Fourth floor Italian home apartment. Lift is so useful when arriving and departing but unnecessary for daily life. I cannot think of any other way to visit Firenze now. You are living in a neighbourhood amongst real people and whole families around you. Franco is very responsive and generous with breakfast parcels for the whole stay. Be aware that there are some tiger mosquitoes in Firenze now. You should use insect repellant at night if you sleep with windows open. This apartment enriched our experience and offers far more self-sufficiency than a hotel. Could be improved with ONE English speaking TV channel and recommendations for local internet cafes. Grazie mille Senore Acquista!

Perfect appartment at perfect location! Even breakfast is included (Italian type = sweets, coffee, milk, tea). Small grocery in same street when you want to cook your own breakfast or other meal. Fully equiped kitchen. Airco in living room and bedroom. Not even 5 minutes walk to Ponte Vecchio and the wonderful Signoria square! Only remark: 2nd bedroom (with 2 bunk beds) is not available when appartment is used by 2 persons. Would be nice to have this available as well for storage use. We like to come back, soon! With our thanks to the very kind owners, Mr & Mrs Acquisti.

Apartment is newly appointed with a modern feel. Good air con in all rooms. Basket of Crossaints left by owner for breakfasts. Bottled water was also supplied. Small touches but quality ones throughout apartment. You will not beat this apartment for value. 2 mins to Ponte Vecchio, 5 to the Ufizzi, perhaps 10 to the Duomo. It is an excellent location. The appartment is nice and the owner very kind and supportive. It is perfect point for exploring Florence. A small setback due to the difficuties to get there by car and the imposibility to park in the area. But this is to be expected for the very hart of the town. However an excellent parking area can be found maybe 500 m from La Loggia. Next time I'll go to Florence I'll stay in the same location if I'll find it available.

La Loggia is one of about 20 apartments that enter through a door in an alley. My only complaint is that there is NO sign on the door that says "La Loggia". Had I not had an email from the owner (Mr Aquista), I would have no way to know which bell to ring. Otherwise, a great place to stay.

However the address on the website is incorrect - it is 19, not 219!
