The location is perfect, right in the city and just 5 min to duomo but the room has no noise at all.. Super good. There is a kitchen in the room and decoration is good. One thing is the check in place is not at the room's building but it's ok cos only 5 min walk and hotel person come sent us. Staff was good, provide us a map and suggest thing. I will 100% recommend this to u.

The location was fantastic! We were able to walk everywhere. I would certainly recommend the apartment to anyone wanting to see Florence. Our only problem was driving our rental car into the area to drop off our bags. The apartment was a bit difficult to locate, so we got a parking ticket (49 euros) as we were figuring things out. Take a cab instead.

The room for 7 days was actually 300 euros cheaper by their in room rates but they refused to honor it. Catch 22. The refrigerator was broken 6 of the 7 day stay. Great location.

For a family, this location is PERFECT. You are right in the heart of Florence. We were traveling with a baby and a 4 year old. We exited the hotel and could see the Duomo! Everything was within short walking distance and my daughter loved riding the carousel that was outside the Residence. Arriving took some patience because you have to drive into the pedestrian area but as long as you follow the hotel directions, it is well worth the effort.

Residence La Repubblica Apartment is in an excellent location and is a nice, but small two bedroom apartment. The only two complaints were that the shower was weak and the main bedroom had two single beds rather than a double or queen size bed. Otherwise the apartment was very comfortable in a great location in the center of Florence!

Very nice place to stay for a family with one kid. Big rooms, good designed and comfortable. The location is perfect! It lacks a londry-machine, for a family with kids it is important! In our room there was no heating in the bathroom and the "hot water" was about 37 degrees C. The only way to take shower - to open the bathroom's door for all the night to warm the place a bit.

Our stay at the Residence La Repubblica Apartment was one of the hilights of our trip to Italy: the area was charming and full of vitality; we felt safe and comfortable; there was access to everything - food, shopping and all of the historic sights we wanted to see. The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. We highly recommend this location and hopefully will have the opportunity to stay there again!

The appartment is managed by a groupe who takes care (in addition) of two different hotels in Florence. The appartment is renewed, big and very modern. The one I rent came with electric oven, freezer, microwave, washing machine and so one. I relly recommend this flat.

Incredible location for the price (right on the P. Republica). Our room had a direct view on the Duomo! Very clean and large rooms. It can be hard to get there by car (most of the area is not accessible to cars). Take note that the check-in is done at a nearby hotel.

The location is perfect as it overlooks a very lively square. Even though the music is played late into the night, one can close the windows to isolate the noise. Just like an apartment, once you are in there is no daily maid. Room is very spacious. Car parking is expensive at 24E per day and expect a 30-minute wait if you do not order you car back ahead of time.

A freshly renovated studio style apartment so close to EVERYTHING we felt spoilt and special for being in a real working building rather than one where you would feel like being in a tourist hotel. Very quiet. Well appointed for cooking and eating in. Main hotel where check-in occurs close by and easily contactable if necessary, but it never was as all services worked well. We were left alone to live our time in Florence quite independently. Bliss

Perfect location - right in the centre of Florence. Secure entrance; total independence and privacy in the apartment - ideal for a city break. Though staff were in nearby hotel every request was treated promptly and efficiently.

Staying at Residence La Repubblica in Florence, Italy was probably the worst hotel stay we've ever had. There were two main problems: 1) The room was terribly noisy for multiple reasons: The Piazza La Republicca is very noisy with a band and a DJ playing music well into the night - until 1-2AM. Despite closing all of the windows and shades, it didn't make a difference, it is quite noisy in the room. If that isn't enough for you, the elevator (which is used throughout the night) is also very noisy, it shakes the room -- there is no escaping the noise in this hotel. 2) The room wasn't maintained, in a 5 night stay we didn't get a single cleaning. When we called the desk about it they said "you will get one cleaning during your stay, I don't know when". We had to ask for fresh towels, they couldn't bring us any that evening and that we'd have to wait until the morning. In the morning, we called and they said fresh towels would come "when the maid gets there". We did get fresh towels once, but did not get a single cleaning. Do not stay at this B&B/Hotel - totally not worth it.

We booked the room with a special of pay 3 nights, get 4 nights. We did not realize that the price we were quoted had already had the discount applied. Wasn't very clear. Recommend staying in Florence for just two nights, not 4. Highly recommend staying out in the tuscan countryside!

I stayed at the Residence La Repubblica 4 nights and definitely recommend it. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Location excellent (esp. with view over the square). The special offer through the website was great value for money. Wi-fi connection worked well (fundamental for me as I was in Florence on business). Underneath the residence there are a couple of bars/cafes (e.g. one called Giubbe Rosse) where one can get a cappuccino and cornetto for breakfast at a good price. Travellers should note that with special offer price the daily cleaning may not be included.

Excellent location. Living room/ kitchen was much too small with no lounge. Just enough room for table and chairs. No place to relax after a long day out.

Spacious appartment in centre of city. Only downside was that the windows did not open. This meant that we were unable to have any daylight. We visited in March - so not a great problem but would not have liked it in summer. Otherwise clean and well furnished. Loved florence and will visit again. If you have a specific site to see - go early. Doumo and campanile open at 8.30am - Well worth getting there early

The apartments are very central and handy to attractions, museums etc. Very secure location excellent staff at Hotel Lanzi who welcomed us and manage apartments. The handyman was very prompt and professional when we had a couple of very minor things needing fixing. The housekeeping staff did a great job with daily housekeeping. Great air-conditioning (heating and cooling)however there is no oven, kettle or microwave provided (hotplates only). The apartment was generally very quiet from street and traffic noise (particularly given the central location)however you will hear people in the apartment above you walking in their apartment and moving furniture around as the ceilings are not sound insulated. This is quite normal for most hotels.

I have been to Florence previously and this experience was the best. The apartment provided a perfect clean, quiet, central location from which to visit the city of Florence and the surrounding area. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff was very nice. I would recommend Residence La Repubblica and would love to go there again on my next trip to Florence, Italy.
