It is a strenuous hike up the hill from the town centre on the Lake. There is bus service hourly, but it takes some searching to find the details. The apartments are fine and good value for money. Having a car would be a big advantage, particularly if you have small children.

Yes, you really need a vehicle to stay the hotel, which is about 25 min walk from closest pier on the lake and 10 min walk from SNCF station and 20 min walk from central town area. The hotel is located on the hill where you have quite a good view of Lac Léman. Since we were backpackers with no vehicle, we had many hustles during our stay. On first night, we arrived the hotel around 6p.m. Since the hotel is located in somewhat out of nowhere, there were no stores where we can buy our night meal or no restaurants near here. So we had to go back to central area to go to Casino supermarket which is open until 8p.m. And there are no frequent public tranportaion services, we had to walk from and to an ferry terminal on Lac Léman 4 times during our stay! It was really time wasting and tiring. A receptionist at hotel was very helpful and kind! She gave us all the information we need like ferry and train timetable, routes and near shop informations. Room was very clean and has almost full set of tableware. It was a little disappinting that I got cold shower when I kept using hot water in the bath room but it was only for 5 min or so. There was a wonderful bakery shop next to restaurant 'Le Campagnard' near SNCF trains station. You can have bread hot from the oven any time.

Wir hatten ein Appartement mit Seeblick, wirklich schön. Die Anlage ist etwas ausserhalb vom Zentrum, man braucht ein Auto. Es war sehr ruhig auch nachts.

The hotel is quite a distance away from the lake and it is situated a fair way up a very steep hill so you really need a vehicle if you stay here. The building site is still in full swing at the back of the property, not a problem if you have a view of the lake,we didn't which spoilt it a little for us. The room was excellent, could have done with a toaster instead of a dishwasher! Whilst there, a group of special needs adults were also staying and during the night, one of them was very disruptive. One night she kept us awake screaming and shouting ALL night, we were still awake at 6.30 am. We complained, as did others, to the receptionist who said she would tell her superiors, we heard nothing more which was a little disappointing. This tainted our view of the whole stay which was a shame.
