MH Apartments Güell - Barcelona

We never stayed at MH Apartments Guell!!! We were moved to MH Apartments Tetuan with no explanation, apology or offer of compensation. After much negotiation we got a 20% discount but our holiday got off to a bad start..stress levels high and children upset!! Once calmed down, MH Apartments Tetuan were very spaces if a little sparse..only 1 sofa for 4 people to squash onto..and a little bare. The location above the Metro station was very convenient and it was in a residential area so we felt safe...a good thing as my husbands wallet was pick pocketing on the Metro - Place de Catalunya.

One of our two bedrooms was situated on the building side faced to the inside courtyard so, to avoid NOISES from the carrer nou de la Rambla, close the door of the living room became mandatory. I suppose staying in the other bedroom faced directly to the street is impossible to have QUIET during the night.

Management was very un co-operative. Washing machine would not open after washing and it took two days to get door opened to allow wet clothes to be removed. On arrival we were left in the rain for three hours unable to enter and leave luggage inside.There is no reception area and arrangements must be made in advance to enter building. Part of problem was the result of poor information provided by Venere.

Great spacious apartment but very noisy all night long for street bedroom Master bedroom was not very noisy

Overall, the location of the property was fairly good. It was in a very central part of Barcelona. Not too far away from the metro system, which leads to almost all the tourist sites. However, the street it's located on is very, very noisy even at 5am on a weekday. Not suitable for those after a quiet relaxing night's sleep. The condition of the apartment was quite good. Cant say i would go back there simply because of the location but apart from that the quality and service was good.

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment, but the bedrooms did not have complete walls or doors so there was little privacy. We said something at check-in and we were told that this was the only apartment available. Also, the apartment pictured on this website was not the same as the one we were given. The posted pictures definitely look better. Be very careful at night in this area and watch for pick-pockets.

Very good location. Was a little concerned when asked to give credit card details in case of breakages. No inventory taken. Found glass shelf in fridge already broken and had to use shower in the hand as attachment to wall was broken. Noted these on questionnaire provided in room. Could have done with mirrors in bedrooms to avoid rush in bathroom. But that is just women for you. Stayed 3 nights in Barcelona could have stayed a couple more to fulfil all shopping needs. Would recommend to anyone else.

Excellent value for money. Ideal for short term stay. In my case it was for a weekend to go see barca play in the nou camp.

We thought this was a fantastic place. Very clean, far more spacious than I'd expected, and just 1/2 block from La Rambla. Barcelona is a lively and international city, and being so close to La Rambla meant it wasn't always so quiet, even at late hours. But it didn't interfere too much with sleep. Beds and sheets were high quality, kitchen and bathroom facilities modern and clean -- again, we were very pleased and impressed. Our only glitch came in trying to have contact with the ownership prior to our arrival. There's no direct email address listed on the website, just thru venere.com -- when I sent one to that address, venere returned it and said we chould contact management directly. When I responded that this was the only email address listed on the site, I never heard back. I couldn't rach anyone by phone the night of our arrival, so we had to spend one night elsewhere. The management had a sheet saying that our flight had been cancelled! But adjustments were made without question, and Lydia was very gracious and apologetic. Go and enjoy this. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
