Vacation Rental Prainha Clube - Alvor

Great holiday!!! staff were a credit to the resort,extremely helpful and friendly with excellent english speaking skills.Magnificent beach,5 mins walk,beautiful old town of Alvor 5 mins from bus stop directly across from Prainha Clube..We will definitely be back!!!!!!!!!!!Patrick&Martina, Ireland

All in all the hotel is nice. But there are certain annoying details which spoil the overall impression. For example, the two bed lights are switched on and off simultaneously and their brightness is equal to the lamps in the operation facility of a medical clinic! Another annoying detail is very high charges for WIfi connection. The stuff just doesn't let you know you that you can go to the bar at the beach and connect free of charge. There occured similar "desinformations" regarding other practical arrangements. One of the swimming pools is called "Atlantic" and is described in the broschure as containing sea water. It appears that it doesn't and has not had any sea water during the latest two years. Definitely something the hotel should either change or let the guests know the truth.

Would not return to this property. Was overpriced for quality of accomodation and service provided. Reception staff were the rudest most unhelpful staff i have ever dealt with. Apartments were noisy. Cleaning was minimal. THe complex was very unbuggy friendly - no ramps... god help you if you had a disability. Steps everywhere. Also no signage around the complex. Its 20 minute walk into alvor along unfinished paths on a dangerous road.

Is the first time we stay here and is underful, fine place, very nice apartments, paradise beach, parking place free. Prainha is one of the best places in Algarve.

Summer 2011 will be our 5th visit to Prainha and we love it more each time we go. Perfect, peaceful location but close enough to Alvor town with all its lovely restaurants. Sea water pool is the highlight. Just wish they would get some new sunbed's around the Clube pool ! a bit the worst for wear.

Excellent facilities, great for family vacaction, you dont even have to get out of the hotel because there is a little supermarket inside the complex. If cooking is not your plan you have 3 restaurants to choose from.

Can't fault the hotel other than the location is a little too far from Alvor to walk into the town for a night out (30 minutes walk) and car hire (or taxi) is recommended. It is, however, beautifully situated on the cliffs overlooking the sea with views of Lagos in the distance and there are good restaurants on-site. Just wish we had stayed longer and would definitely return. 10/10!!!
