The initial greeting was very poor. We'd been travelling all day and just wanted to go to our rooms but the girl at reception was less than helpful and quite rude. This seemed to be a one off and we soon got over it. We requested a double bed but got two single beds. We were soon allocated another room (with a better view) so this was pleasing. The rooms are very big and there's a small fridge / mini bar. The hotel is very close to the main train station / underground but this whole area needs a good clean up. There's quite a few restaurants within walking distance but grocery shops are harder to find.

Very nice hotel and helpful staff. Clean, spacious rooms specially for families. Very convenient location but can be difficult to find for the first time - within 5-min walking distance from central train station and metro, tram stop in front of hotel. Delicious breakfast. Internet access prepaid but charged as per access time. Great value for money..

The hotel's location is perfect, just 5 min.walk from the railway station. The room is spacious. I didn't imagine that it could be such kind of accomodation in Milan for the price given for us on the first days of May. The furniture is a little bit aged in the room but it didn't make a matter for us. Breakfast was gorgeous. I recommend this hotel for sure.

The hotel is literally minutes from Milano Stazione Centrale. However, it is a little difficult to find because it is not on the street but surrounded by other buildings. The first time there could be difficult in the evening. The staff at the hotel is very efficient and helpful. My thanks to Roberta who called the on-line ticket agency on our behalf to solve a confusing issue for us only because of the language barrier. One evening, because of heavy rains, we decided to dine at the Hotel. We were pleasantly surprprised to have an attentive staff and the meal was excellent. The hotel room was spacious but dated

First, this is a very good place, and I'll be most likely trying to book it again for our next trips to Milan. Price/quality factor is very very high here. The location is superb not also because of the short distance from Milano Centrale (railway station) but also because of the tram stop right in front of the hotel. (For instance, tram #2 will take you to La Scala theater and Duomo in 14 mins, tram #9 goes to Navigli/Porta Genova via Porta Romana, which is also a useful route for discovering Milan; just don't forget to buy tickets in advance and stamp it in the yellow stamping thing inside!) Rooms are spacey enough (we've stayed in the Junior Double Suite with two toddlers; spacey room is a must for such kind of group). The breakfast is a very good and various selection of stuff. The personnel (reception guys and breakfast gals) are friendly and solve problems quickly. Probably the only letdown was the erratic and rather questionable room service. During our three nights stay we couldn't figure out the pattern they were working on. Towels were changed irregularly; once we've asked for four additional big towels and been given one set of three towels of different sizes instead. On arrival we've found a used Coke can in the room sink (there's a sink in the room covered with lid; the lid was obviously the reason the cleaning people didn't notice the can; but still) and it stayed there for three days 'til our departure. But despite this inconvenience the overall expression was good and I'd surely recommend the place to my friends. Tram #2 stop beats poor room service!

We had a very good time. The rooms were very large, well maintained and clean. Breakfast was excellent. The reception, porters and bar staff were very pleasant and worked really hard to ensure we were looked after. We had some minor problems with the rooms which the housekeepers appeared reluctant to resolve but the reception staff did something in the background that seemed to work and the housekeepers were still able to give us a pleasant smile. The hotel was a secure place and about 12-15 mins walk to Fashion Quarter. A taxi back was about 8 euros. We were recommended two restaurants. The Pizza one, 250 metres from the hotel was good, fantastically Italian, although it appeared to be Chinese owned. The second one, about 400 metres from the hotel, was a lot more expensive. The service and staff were good but the food was very over-priced and not especially good. We would stay there again with our teenage children. It would be good if they had a swimming pool and sports facilities in the hotel.

Good location, spacious room, great breakfast. Service could be better. We didn't get towels for example, when we asked for them they brought 1 even though we were 4, so we had to ask again. When we asked where we could take the bus to the airport the answer was that the best way was to take a taxi, even though there is a bus (cheap and fast) 2 blocks from the hotel.

We arrived Milano Central Station from Milan-Malpensa Airport by bus. Our first concern was how to find the hotel. Although our worry was unnecessary, the guide of the hotel along Via Fabio Filzi should be improved. We reserved this hotel for our last stay in Milano when we checked out.

Great hotel. I looked all over the internet for a reasonably priced, well located, high quality hotel in Milan. This is it. Don't waste ur time looking further. The tram runs right outside the hotel and takes u anywhere u need to go. Spacious, comfortable, American queen sized beds here. I paid 111 euros/night. Only problem: the directions to the hotel from the centrale train station were awful. Ask for directions at the information booth at the station. Otherwise superb. Would stay anytime!!

We were in Milan for the Italian GP at Monza which is a short train ride north of Milan. This hotel is very close to the main train station. A very modern hotel with large rooms. Our room rate was about a third of rate for walk-ins. Located a little north of city center in a rather nondescript area of Milan, but some excellent restaurants in the immediate area. Internet only in the lobby.

Normal room is as big as a suite and equipped like one. Normal size, well equipped bathroom, AND huge livingroom with leather couch and super-sized desk. On top of that a separate normal size bedroom with spacious closet. Rooms quiet but one can hear the morning traffic even on the 11th floor (not too annoying though).

Really hard to see from the street even though its enormous. The sat nav brought us to the door and we still could not see it. There is a very small sign and a gated entrance beside the number 25 building on Fabio Filzi. Its very big. The best rooms are high up. The 16th and 17th floors are non smoking and have good views. Not as clean as some hotels and the modern rooms [ we had a junior suite] were a little knocked about. But a very comfortable bed probably the best we experienced in Italy. Very pleasant staff on reception and in the small bar. The hotel is in a non descript area of Milan which is mostly a non descript city. Its a 45 minute walk to the Duomo [cathedral] and central shopping area. 10 euros by taxi or try your luck on the rattling old trams - great fun. The hotel has a car park that costs 22 euors per day in addition. All in all a modern fairly ordinary hotel but probably good value for a big city like Milan. The best restaurant is Al Porto - its miles from this hotel and in another no so good area. It too has no name on it [ is this a Milan thing ?] and is in a scruffy looking old govt building. But its wonderful inside with the best fish and meat in Milan - you have to book dont just turn up.

Love the very spacious rooms. Very clean, comfortable furniture and bed. Close to the Milano Central Train station and Metro. Can whole heartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Milan eventhough it is not centrally located as the Metro link to the city centre (Duomo) is nearby.

Spent only one night at the hotel. very spacious room for the price, and very close to the central train station. the buffet breakfast was good, however, the waiters were not so friendly. the hotel was surrounded by a couple of bussiness buildings, maybe it is the reason, you need to use the intercom system for entering the hotel, spent a couple of minutes to figure this out at the middle of the night.

Great hotel accommodations and service. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised and very pleased overall with the hotel, its rooms and services. Very close to train and metro subway services. It would be helpful if the web site promotes that nonsmoking rooms were available. We would have chosen a nonsmoking room had I known it was indeed an option. Great accommodations for the price! Would definitely stay here again.

The Uno is a lovely hotel with large suite rooms including sofa, tables and fridge.Very nice clean bathrooms include slippers! Breakfast was excellent, although order cappicino from the server instead of coffee from the machine if you like coffee. The only problem was the ac was not on yet May 1, and the room was 79 degrees. The desk said open the window, which helped a little, but then the room was very noisey as it is a city location.

The price is right. It is a reasonable rate when compared to other hotel prices in Milan, especially considering the location (near the train station and metro stops) and the spaciousness of the room (huge). Aesthetically, it's not the most beautiful hotel in the world, but it is clean and relatively modern. Perfect for somebody who just wants to pop in and out of Milan by train.

Because it was winter, it could stay at suite room at the low charge, and it was satisfied. But, the employee of the restaurant didn't bring cappuccino which it asked for at the time of breakfast. He never looked ashamed, and we were very unpleasant to that point. The place of the hotel was hard to understand.
