UNA Hotel Malpensa - Cerro Maggiore

Some would think this hotel was in a great location as it's practically attached to a huge shopping mall. The staff could tell you all about the mall, but not so much about the surrounding town which is quite nice, but difficult to get to because of the mall maze of parking lots, etc. There are some excellent restaurants in the area for those who want a last really great ITalian meal before leaving. The hotel itself is lovely, very modern. It has little ambiance, but was very clean, very efficient, and a good size. I would recommend this hotel to those who want to be near the airport and are easing back into their real life, leaving the more prosiac Italy behind.

The staff was helpful, but not always responsive, sending us to fancy restaurants when we wanted something simple. The charges for internet usage, in such a modern hotel, was more than it should have been. The hotel, super modern, has a great look and feel to it, and the breakfasts were good if not better than average. For a hotel intended to be for use of Malpensa airport, it is still a 15-20 minute drive, but nonetheless makes an excellent base for touring Como, Maggiore, southern Switzerland and Milan, with everything being within 30 to 40 minute drives. For such a modern hotel, surprisingly, they could not get us good water pressure in our shower, nor could they manage to solve the problem of the water going from super cold to super hot in the shower.

Great value for price..The room was large for European hotels and very clean and modern..Would return again...Only problem is difficulty getting into parking lot due to hotel location on traffic circle...Exceeded expectations!!!

Great hotel - great value for money

This is a modern hotel close to the exit from the autostrada and a 15minute drive to Malpensa airport. The room we had was nicely designed, comfortable and very spacious. The bathroom was also very nice with an excellent shower. The good air-conditioning was appreciated. However, we were disappointed by the Room Service meals which were poor. The service was slow and the meals overcooked, although it is possible that this was due to the recent arrival of a coach full of guests. Breakfast was OK. On the basis of the room and its location near Malpensa, we would stay at this hotel again. In this case, we would either hope that the poor dinner was just a one-off, or would investigate the nearby mall.

Highly recommend this hotel near Malpensa airport.

This hotel is a great starting or ending point when flying out of Malpensa. It is still a 30+ minute drive to Milan from the hotel. It is still a 15 minute drive to the airport though, but there aren't many better hotels that are closer for the price. There is a decent mall next door to the hotel with a good restaurant, but not a lot of English spoken by the storekeepers in the mall. The hotel itself is modern, and has spacious well appointed rooms. The complimentary breakfast was quite good, with eggs, bacon and toast, things that have been lacking at other four star hotels with breakfasts. I would definitely stay here again if travelling through Malpensa.

Great price for beautiful hotel. Very easy to find due to proximinity to highway and easy to see due to it being a highrise building.

We used the UNA for our last night in Italy before our flight home the next morning. The hotel is decorated in ulatr-modern style and is very nice. There is a large shopping mall a 5 minute walk away across the parking plot that was great for last minute shopping. Safe easy parking, OK breakfast, convenient to Malpensa which is a 20 minute drive up the autostrade. Definitely recommended.

They have no any shuttle bus to the airport although it was promised by their Web-site

Our stay was very enjoyable. The room was VERY spacious, comfortable, quiet& very clean. We arrived late in the evening & took a short walk to the mall & had a very tasty dinner there.The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of items to choose from. The staff were courteous & helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

We found ourselves very very very comfortable.We booked a double and,due to lack of rooms,they provide us a suite with jacuzzi and other great stuff like lcd television, double bathrooms,all at the same price..Our stay was fantastic..really really good hotel,for those who need to wake up earl in the morning to catch a flight!

Not knowing the area..we thought we were close to Malpensa Airport....and on their website it said "Shuttle to airport"....but there was NO shuttle..had to take taxi for 40 Euros...also a problem with their credit card machine at check out and almost missed plane!!!!
