The hotel is bizzarely decorated, but it was perfect for what we required, which was somewhere close to the airport for one night. It is not a good choice if you want to be close to the town. Despite positive reviews, I thought the breakfast was truly dreadful. Rarely do I find myself not eating anything, despite the apparent variety of food on offer.

A one night stay en route to Garda.Bergamo is a very pleasant stopover/weekend destination-Bergamo Alta is beautiful.Hotel excellent value for money although a little way out of the centre-taxis expensive.Very good breakfast.Only one little hitch-the safe didn't work!

The hotel rooms are not bad, although could be better for the price. The sweating young man in the reception was somewhat slow and confused, but after several questions to his colleagues, we obtained all information. It is about 20-25 minutes into the city center on a noisy street, but the windows are tight. Good breakfast.

Brillant weekend, excellent value for money. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great buffet breakfast and good transport links to the city centre, bus stop right outside. Only downside rooms were too warm.

First time at Una. Overnight stay to break up journey. Quirky style - feels like converted office block. Rooms very large - effectively suites. Staff very welcoming. Irish bar opposite stays open late for food but can be very busy and noisy.

When we arrived the restaurant was closed and the bar food was dreadful....pasta done in a microwave Our son left a new pair on running shoes in his room and they were not available when we stayed again two days later, which was most surprising The hotel is in a very unattractive part of the city...and is much more than 2k form the Airport

A little further from the centre than it looked on the map, but better quality of hotel compared to other hotels I have stayed at in the centre for the same cost. Staff very pleasant and helpful, restaurant a bit pricey but nice food.

First trip to Bergamo, hotel was great, just as expected. Good choice of continental breakfast. Only drawback was lack of / no tea /coffee facilities in room, arrived at midnight, bar and room service had ceased.

A very pleasant and modern hotel with excellent facilities although a bit impersonal which was understandable as it obviously catered more for the business traveller rather than the holidaymaker . Shame it seemed rather isolated in an industrial area,a good 50 minute walk to the railway station.Very good value for money.

Room was actually a suite ! So very reasonably priced. Hotel was a bit further out of town than I would have liked, but that is my fault for not really checking ! However, bus service was very frequent and cheap and only 10 mins to centre and station. Breakfast was very good, they had everything we wanted and plenty of it ! Be sure to visit the Old Town by taking the Feniculare, especially in the evening. We had a lovely inexpensive meal with cheap-ish wine too.

This hotel was excellent. Very clean and tidy. The staff were extremely efficient and the breakfast was one of the best on our trip. Very convenient for the airport and then for onbound travel to Lake Como. Lovely bar over the road which sold excellent local wine. Thoroughly recommended.

Well, we needed somewhere to stop after a late evening flight to bergamo and this was just right before moving on to Como. The price was good, we had a triple room which we needed. The taxi to the airport was 15 euros. Room service food late at night was a bit naff but isn't it always.

Slightly faded but clean 4 star hotel. Room was good with huge bed and excellent sauna/shower which was well worth trying. We ate in the hotel 2 nights and enjoyed well cooked food, although we were virtually alone in the dining room - so no atmosphere. Do not miss out on breakfast! A little too far out of town for walking if less than fit but with bus stop right outside.

Excellent hotel, but a little out of town. It was approx. 25 minutes walk up into Citta Bassa and then a further 20-25 mins to Citta Alta. This wasn't at all a problem however is was made easier once we had found the excellent bus service. €2.50 each for a day pass which covered the bus service & the funicular between the two towns. Just hop on and hop off as you please. The no8 bus goes from the front on the hotel upto Citta Bassa, and returns just over the road. Bergamo is an excellent place for 3-4 days, any longer and you would need to do a bit more travelling ~ maybe to Milan itself. Hotel is only 3-4 kms from the airport, so watch out for the taxi prices. We were charged 15€ to the hotel and then 20€ back to the airport ~ so be prepared to carry enough euros for your taxi fare back. We got the impression that the hotel is mainly used for conferences and the people attending the conferences, however this wasn't a problem to us.

close distance to the airport was defenetly thre best advantage, and that was also main reason to stay in the hotel. According to my knowledge that was only hotel situated so near the airport.

The Hotel is a typical business hotel: no-nonsense, clean and practical. It has all the basic functions, but lacks in entertainment, nice bar etc. A fitness room is available, but swimming pool is missing. The hotel is ca. 1 km from the (uninteresting) town center and about 2 km from the historic center (nice). You can find the hotel easiest by driving towards the huge cemetary of Bergamo. On the way from there, take the first big street to the left. After 500 m you find the hotel on your left hand. You can park in the garage under the hotel

Quiet, efficient and modern business hotel. A little tricky to find from the map given on venere.com (a very general location on a detail-less map of Bergamo, which is in itself a very confusing city). However, the hotel is on a main boulevard (Via Borgo Palazzo) leading out to the airport in the direction of Seriate and very obvious once you find this! The night receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly and the hotel is very well appointed with a secure underground garage. The room was exactly as expected and very clean. The price was about right for the room/location.

A beautiful, hotel. we will go back any time that we are in Bergamo. We did walk up to the town but it was about 40 minutes so if you want walking distance it is probably just a bit too far. Very sophisticated, very luxurious i felt as if I was being well and truly treated to a top notch hotel break. The price was amazing we were almost worried that the bill would be bigger and that we had made a mistke. Breakfast included was lovely, you could have eaten masses and not worried about lunch. the first evening we got ther we had a meal in the restaurant and it was beautiful. If you arrive at the airport make sure your taxi driver is from Bergamo, not Milan. our ride to the hotel was longer than it neede to be because the Milan driver had no idea where we were going. It did add to the amusement factor though!

First rate hotel. Rooms were immaculate and spacious as was the rest of the hotel. Hotel is on the outskirts of Bergamo (20-30min walk into town), but hire a car as i did (there's ample parking at the hotel) and it's ideally located for access to the town, airport or autostradas. Recommended.

Very business-person orientated, but if a corporate atmosphere does not put you off, then it is good for a weekend stay. It is some way out of the centre - but buses every 15 mins (except Sunday) and taxis make it fairly painless. The surrounding area is grotty, but if you spend most of your time in the old city, then it is great. Don't miss the fantastic cafe at the TOP of the funicular.

We enjoy our stay at UNA Hotel in Bergamo. Everything was very good. The only problem was to find the Hotel. We had the print out of your map, but when we saw signs around the city, we decided to follow them, expecting to find the hotel sooner (It was dark an very late at night when we arrived in Bergamo and there were no people around to ask for directions). Unfortunately the signs were erratically placed to the point that we got lost. We finally found the Hotel just by luck!!! At first we blamed our sense of direction, but when we talked to the Hotel staff they told us that YES it is very common that the hotel guests have a very hard time as we did in finding the Hotel location. They agreed that the signs are erratically placed and misleading. So if you want to find the Hotel stick to the map and try to reach Bergamo before dark. The signs around the city are totally useless!!! I put a dot in the middle when rating your "location as indicated on map". But actually I should not have rated it at all as we ended up by not really using that map anyway.

Breakfast was excellent and the reception lady was extremely helpful with many problems I had with business contacts etc as my flight was late I had to pay Euros 120 in taxi fares which was outragious. This would preclude me from staying there again as the journey back was substantialy cheaper with a taxi to Bergamo station, train and taxi...Euros 27!!!!!

From previous bad experience of hotels in the UK we expected the pictures on the web to be of the executive rooms not standard rooms. We were wrong, the room was great and we really enjoyed our stay in the hotel in general. The only things we could say negative about the hotel were 'no swimming pool' (but we knew that when we booked it) and the room service was bad (they never once answered the phone for room service requests).

I was utterly disappointed to find that during my stay neither room service or the restaurant was open for service. Apparantly this was because it was SUNDAY. It was quite a surprise to me that it was not important to eat on a Sunday. Also the frozen pasta offered from the American bar was truly disgusting. Furthermore, problems with the pay tv meant that when I tried to release the standard movie i was confronted with offensive porn, apparently a technical problem that meant no english television for myself. So, as a single female travelling alone I was confined to a hotel with neither satisfactory services or entertainment. This on top of the fact that the first room I was given a key to was unprepared and left in a mess from the previous guest made my stay truly dissapointing and completely unsatisfactory.

It's a little further from Bergamo Orio al Serio airport than you think.. about €17 by taxi at night. The place is stunningly bright and modern, the rooms dark, but absolutely 1st class. The bed, TV, mini bar, lighting array and bathroom are excellent. Just one flaw. as with most Italian rooms.. there's no coffee / tea facility, you have to rely on the bar or ask reception to sort out a brew for a small charge. The staff are 1st class, lacking a little in English, but perfectly helpful and informative. Thanks UNA !
