Don't stay here if you value your time. With the benefit of hindsight, I would have rather stayed in a hostal closer to the center (Sol) rather than way out in Torrelaguna. Espcially after a morning of sightseeing and you want to go back for a siesta, it would take 30min (at least) on bus 53. and 30 min back again to the center. The hotel is pretty average. The staff service is ok, not terrific not bad either, just very clinical. Still, after factoring in the money i spent on bus trips, it may be more worthwhile to stay in the center.

Less expensive, especially with longer stay. A short walk to the metro, bus stop right outside hotel. Off the beaten path in a more business/commercial area, took about 30 minutes to get to historic center via metro. Breakfast available, did not eat, but it looked and smelled good. Used for tour groups, some noise at night but nothing that kept me from sleeping.

The only big problem is that they make me pay at check in...I usually pay the hotel when I check out.

This hotel has a bus stop out front so it is very convenient to get into Madrid, not a lot of restaurants around - we ate in Madrid most of the time.

Bus stop is right out front but long walk to Metro stop. Minimal restuarants in area but convience/grocery store right across street. Seemed to be absolutley no sound deadening in the walls. We could hear everyone talking in elevator. But if you spend your time in Madrid right, when you get to your room, you are too tired to care.

La habitación era muy amplia y estaba muy limpia. Las señoras de la limpieza limpiaron la habitación incluso un día que salimos de ella casi a mediodía. El problema es que hacía muchísimo calor y el aire acondicionado no se podía regular. Además nuestra habitación estaba justo frente a la puerta de salida y no parábamos de oir como entraba y salía la gente. Muy cerca del hotel hay un VIPs y un Opencor. El parking de debajo del hotel es carísimo pero normalmente se puede encontrar buen sitio en las calles de alrededor.

For the price I paid, this is an outstanding hotel!! They had a special deal whereby I paid only 40 euros per night (3 for 2 deal) in March. But I would pay more for it now that I know how great it is. The bus stop is right outside the hotel (#53) and whisks you to the Prado or other places in the center in 15 minutes. The bus comes every few minutes. The metro is a 10 minute walk away. There is a store (OpenCor) right across the street which is open late. In terms of restaurants, there is an Asian Wok-type restaurant right in the building as well as a VIPS (similar to Dennys in the U.S.), a pizza place and 2+ cafeterias within a block. I stayed here for 9 days and enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of the centro zone. Bus service is really good and I would go back and forth, if need be during the day. Most days I would be gone for the day. You can buy 10 metro/bus trips for 7.40. I would catch the 53 bus from Plaza Cibales or Punta Sol to go back to the hotel. The staff is very nice. They all speak English but will converse with you in broken Spanish if you want to practice. The place must be soundproof because in the latter 2 days of my stay, I had a group of students staying in the rooms beside me and I could not hear them other than when they were yapping in the halls. The breakfast costs about 7.50 and if you're a meat and eggs kind of person, it may be good for you. There's certainly lots of it (plus coffee, toast, etc.). Otherwise, you can get a cup of coffee and tostada with tomate/aceite across the street (my fave) for about 2 euros ... or anything else you want. The security is great ... you need a key card to access the floors - not that it is a problem in this area anyway. This place even has heated mirrors in the bathroom! But the best part, for me, is that I smelled no smoke from cigarettes!!!

This was a good hotel. Very clean and well run. It is quite a bit from the centre of town but a bus runs from the front door to the Sol which is right in the centre and takes about half an hour. There are no tea making facilities, hairdryers, or irons in the rooms. Excellent value for money would use again if I go back to Madrid
