The rooms in this house are rented out by the owner that lives in part of the house. The house is located right on a piazza that people seem to like to hang out in until the very early morning hours with no regard to the time and the level of noise they make. It was very noisy even with the window shut (which made the room very stuffy and hot). Also they did not make it clear that it was a cash only operation.

This was a wonderful place to stay in a very grand home - the pictures do not do it justice. The room was huge with a vaulted ceiling and a large en suite bathroom. There was some noise during the day as the room overlooks a busy piazza, but this is very effectively blocked out by the shutters and windows. We loved our stay in Volterra and in Camere Renzi and would highly recommend both.

La chambre est immense et la salle de bains idem, la propriétaire est très sympathique, le bâtiment est parfaitement situé et Volterra est absolument magnifique... Le seul petit problème étant que pour se garer il faut parfois attendre qu'une place se libère dans l'un des parkings autour du village mais ça vaut vraiment le coup.

Great location. It was a huge apartament for us, there is no service at all (no counter, no meals, no minibar), but you will be provided all you need. Great welcoming,I trully recommend

Great location, beautiful facilities, wonderful hosts. The best housing experience through all of our vacation. We can truly recommend this place to everyone!

The apartment was lovely, and our host could not have been more helpful. The only slight issue is that the apartment overlooks the square where all the buses drop off and it is quite noisy.

nice big house, our room seemed more like an apartment than just a double, except for kitchen of course. you more or less rented a room in the house of a woman who had to much space than she could fill in herself. and spacious it was.

This is a superb place to stay. It was wonderful. The setting on the hill, the views, the village empty in the early evening and morning made the stay special. The appartment and terrace were more than we hoped for. The owners were increadably warm and welcoming. Making our short two night stay one that we will turn into a weeks visit soon. It was a good location to visit the better known towns.

Great place to stay, only don't rely on the door bell to be answered, they can't here it from the terrace. you may need to phone on arrival to check in

We stayed in the 'Green Room' which included a large kitchen/diner plus a great terrace that caught the sun. The owners pretty much much leave you to yourselves once checked in, this isn't somewhere for those expecting a daily maid service! The rooms are located on the edge of Volterra, close to the 'end of the road' where buses drop off and pick up tourists which makes it handy if you're coming by bus or car, a good location if you can put up with a little bit of noise now and then.
