We stayed in the Triple room at the front of the Palazzo Soderini in April 2008. It was very freshly renovated. (I think we may have been the first guests in our room and some of the common areas were still unfinished.) The triple room was very spacious, somewhat sparsly, but nicely furnished with modern furniture. It faced onto the square with a great view. The bathroom was ultra-modern Italian style. The breakfast room was also very modern and comfortable, looking out onto the interior garden. It was a little shy on seating, and we had to wait for a table in the morning. There was room for more tables, and maybe more have been added since. The facility is too small to warrant full-time staff. So check-in is at a nearby hotel. The Soderini is staffed in the morning, and we found Belluardo very helpful. His English is excellent, having lived in Canada. Well located and excellent value for Venice, we would highly recommend the Palazzo Soderini so long as you're not expecting a slick, chain operation.

incredible big and high room (first floor, very steep and narrow stairs), nice mixture of old an new elements, beautiful old structure, nice but cheap built designer furniture, clean but needs some restauration (equipment of bathroom) very quiet, but church bells ringing next door in the morning

By train
From the Santa Lucia railway station, take the water-bus line 1 or 41 until the Arsenale stop. Then turn left and cross the 'Ca' di Dio' bridge, overtake the Gabrielli Hotel and turn right into 'Calle del Dose'. Then reach the 'Campo Bandiera e Moro' square where you will find Palazzo Soderini. Please inform the Town House Suite about your arrival time.

By airplane
From the Marco Polo airport, take the 'Alilaguna' water-bus until the Arsenale stop.

Guests can leave the car in the Piazzale Roma square, in the San Marco public garage or in the Tronchetto parking area. Then proceed until the S.Marco square with water line n.2.
