Loved the innkeeper! She couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. We did not like the room on the top floor. It was not pictured on the website; it only had 2 small, high windows, that were too high to see out of, so it was dark. Also, my my husband kept banging his head on the beamed ceiling. Very thoughtful innkeeper got up early for us on the morning of our departure and had breakfast put out. Location was convenient to canal, yet not in the heart of all the craziness - it was more of a residential neighborhood but within walking distance to everything. The charming, helpful innkeeper was the saving grace of our stay.

A beautiful B&B with the feel of a boutique hotel. Friendly and welcoming in a great location within a stones throw of the Grand Canal and easy to find thanks to signs that lead to the museum located directly oposite.

Very well situated. Convenient but not noisy. Excellent directions, very helpful staff, good breakfast. Difficult to fault.

Liked the staff very helpful and nice. Room was great for the price. Had to move to a larger room for one nite and it was much nicer. The location was great, in a residential area so got more local flavor yet only 10 min away from the Rialto bridge. Challenging to find the first time.

Excellent location- far enough away from the crowds yet walking distance to the sites. Great restaurants suggested by the hotel. "La Zucca" was particulary delicious, but make a reservation as it is busy! Rooms were very clean, well-equipped and much more spacious than we expected. Would recommend this hotel and would definately stay there again.

What a find! The romantic attributes of a wonderful B&B are fully realized at the Town House Suite Ca' San Giorgio. Everything was perfect. The attractive garden in front, the intimate breakfast area (and excellent breakfast), and the neatly appointed rooms provides a perfect setting for those interested in staying sufficiently far from the touristy sections of Venice, but still within very reasonable walking distance, in a very attractive, romantic setting. Set off to the side of the "central" route from the railroad station to the Rialto bridge, Ca' San Giorgio is sequestered on a quiet side street very close to the canal. The real charm is evoked at night, where the number of people walking around this area is at a minimum, giving one the chance to explore the many side streets in near seclusion (2nd week of September). The staff was very friendly and service oriented. We absolutely loved staying here, and will certainly return.

Very close to a "vaporetto" stop and to the Rialto area, wherefrom you can reach the rest of the town. Staff very nice in finding us a table in a good fish restaurant on Saturday night! The location of the hotel might be disappointing to some visitors, since it is in an area of very small "calli" (streets) with no shops, no open areas or squares (called "campo" in Venice), but in a 5-minute walk you reach Rialto, full of life. The Casino (gambling house) is just opposite the hotel, on the other bank of the Grand Canal. Only 5 minute walk from the railway station.

We were lost in the maze of Venetian streets and our hostess, Silvia, found us and helped pull our luggage back to Ca San Georgio. We were further impressed when our small and thin hostess hauled our overweight luggage up the flight of stairs. This first impression of dedication to service and attention to detail were the hallmarks of our stay. Silvia is an intelligent, warm, charming and sincere young lady who bent over backwards offering to make tour reservations, recommend restaurants, played with our three year old son to give us a moments rest, and warmed baby bottles. She really made us feel valued and special. We stayed in the 'Il Volto' room which was beautifully decorated and spacious even for three adults and two toddlers. There was even a cook top, sink and bar fridge (handy for young families) and the bathroom was very spacious and had a heated towel rack (perfect for drying clothes). Breakfast was decent and staff offered scrambled eggs, ham and cheese on request. Basically, we will definitely stay at Ca San Georgio next time we are in Venezia.

We would recommend Ca'San Giorgio to anyone looking for a small hotel in Venice, including those who would normally spend considerably more on a hotel than this. Our extremely comfortable room was luxuriously decked out with top quality fabrics, tiles, carpets TV etc and had it's own small terrace - a great treat for those odd days in Venice when there is any sun about! The room and bathroom were large by European standards. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful, lending us both umbrellas and good advice. Breakfast was equally good, with coffee to order, a good selection of fruit, cereal, cold meats and cheese and the best bread we came across in Italy! Though we have always previously stayed closer to the Rialto, San Marco area, we found the hotel's location very convenient -easy to find, quiet and with a view of the Grand Canal if you stick your head out the window! It really is as good as it looks on the web pages. Highly recommended!

The staff could not have been more helpful and were extremely welcoming. It helped that they spoke excellent English. The room was small but furnished to a very high standard - especially the bathroom. The location was just right - walking distance to the sights, but in a quiet residential area. Breakfast was very good - lots of choice including scrambelled eggs! The building itself is lovingly restored and we would highly recommend it.
