We spent one week visiting Umbria. It is necessary to have a car to arrive to Casal Lorgnano, but we stay really well after long days walking around. The owner is really kind .

The property is a typical isolated umbrian farmhouse. Nicely decorated if rather basic but the owner is very welcoming and helpful. The main problem we had was locating the place it is very difficult to find and I would strongly advise the owner to improve his directions for next year. The owner booked us to a fantastic restaurant in a nearby village and overall the stay was what I would describe as an unusual experience.

Beautiful rustic feel, a sense of history about the place. Arrived very late and had alot of trouble finding it. The owner very kindly met us at a nearby village and escorted us up. It was too late to return to the village for food so we asked him if there was any food available, and at 11.00pm he prepared a meal for us with wine! The quality of the bed linen was something that we were very impressed with. Breakfast was a little basic, but considering our host's hospitality and the fact that he charged us a very nominal rate for cooking at 11pm this is a very minor point. Would have liked to have spent more time there. A lot of effort has been put in to restoring Casal Lorgnano.
