I have to admit I was concerned when I arrived since this is a busy street and you almost miss the entrance of the B & B. I was expecting a "house" and got the feeling this was a hostal more than a B & B. BUT once I was welcomed by Giovana with her great smile and warm approach, I knew I was in good hands. She escorted us to our room which was in the 3rd floor of an apt building with more than one B&B and the room was clean and spacious enough for both of us. Minimum furniture and no extras, but it was fine for us since we wanted to experience a B&B and after a day walking in Rome, all we needed was a clean room and a hot shower. The breakfast was enough and a great capuchino Giovy prepares! The location is within 2 blocks from train station if you don't mind wheeling your suitecases in a very busy street, it was ok with us. Good exp overall.

What a wonderful place to stay. I was there with my daughter and we felt so at home. A delicious breakfast and a real home feeling in such a busy city. One of our highlights of Rome was meeting Giovy. She works incredibly hard for the comfort of all.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Giovy. Giovanna was a fantastic hostess and person. She made us feel like part of the family. She treated us with delicious cappuccinos and blood orange juice with breakfast each morning. The location was very close to the train station and not far from the tour bus pickup location. The restaurant across the street was excellent (name was Ceros?). Rooms were clean and typical european. We had no complaints! We loved it and will definitely stay there again!

The Giovy was super convenient to everything being a just couple of blocks from the termini station. Giovanna, the host, is amazing! She's so warm, friendly and accommodating. She will do anything to help you. We just loved her! From the minute we arrived which was around 10:30am, Giovanna fed us and made sure we had some idea of where we were and were to eat, etc. We felt very welcomed by her. The place itself is very cool looking with it's old world charm, not fancy but very comfortable. You almost feel like you are living like a native Roman which I liked a lot. It was super hot in Rome so the first night we slept with the windows opened. There was some street noise so the next night we figured out how to use the a/c and closed the window. It was completely quiet and we slept great. Giovanna is a peach and I would definitely stay with her again. Her kindness really makes a big difference when you are visiting a foreign city for the first time.

Our stay in Rome was amazing. We were treated like family. We were overwhelmed with the wonderful treatment we received from Giovanna. We had the best Espresso and Cuppichino. Every morning we had a wonderful breakfast of pastry, yogurt and a fresh fruit which was delightful. The rooms were very clean, beds were very comfortable, bathroom very clean, we had all we needed. Air conditioning in room was also excellent. Thank you so much for everything. When I return to Rome, I will make sure I stay at your B&B again. Karen

I really liked this B&B. I traveled by myself from Japan. Before I get there, I was a little bit worried about the safety of Rome. But staying at this B&B took out all my anxiety and I feel at home. The owner of this B&B was very kind, friendly and helpful. I recommend this B&B to anyone especially to ladies.

As others have said- it's greatest asset is the owner... Giovanna is so warm and friendly. The location is very handy for arriving from the airports or the train as it's just a 3 minute walk from Termini. I love Rome anyway and I will definitely stay in B & B Giovy on my next visit.

We recently stayed at Giovy while visiting Rome for 3 days. We had lovely time there! The room was clean and comfortable and the B&B was in a great location to access all the attractions. Most of all, the owner Giovanna was so welcoming! She greeted us with warmth every morning for breakfast and went out of her way to make sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. The hotel also stocks a variety of guide books and maps, which was great for us as we were a little unprepared. I would definitely recommend this B&B if you are looking for a basic, clean accomodation while in Rome.

This is a very nice Bed and Breakfast, although it is a bit difficult to find because there are so many B&B's located in the same building. It is very walkable to Termini train station and to the metro which is very easy to use even though for a city the size of Rome is limited. You won't find a nicer hostess in my opinion any place else in Rome

While the property was fine and as described, the hospitality of the hosts was extraordinary, and they truly made us feel like family. It's a family-run operation, we mostly interacted with Giovanna's sister and her daughters. The property is growing, and there are plans for a larger reception area, nicer breakfast room, etc. It's a fine location for exploring Rome, since we like to walk. For those who don't, it's close to the train station / metro. At the time we stayed, payment for the rooms needed to be in cash, although that wasn't explicitly stated in our correspondence. But it was made very clear once we arrived.

I had read the excellent reviews of this B&B, but I was nonetheless surprised and delighted by the extremely positive experience my husband and I had at Giovy. From the moment we walked in, Giovanna made us "family." She showered us with wine and cookies, and on the morning of our departure, we had a generous "to go" breakfast and a small souvenir of Rome! The room was spacious and overlooked a lovely courtyard. The area was safe and convenient, and Giovanna made sure we knew where to go and what to see--and when! (Such as when to go to the Sistine Chapel to avoid the lines.) Breakfast was exceptional, with the best coffee we've ever had (and we live in Louisiana!) If we're lucky enough to return to Rome, we will head straight back to Giovy.

The bathroom was very small, but clean. The main room was a very large size. Nice airy rooms and able to have the windows open and be secure. Also glad to have airconditioning when the windows needed to be closed to keep out the noises from the courtyard outside.

I cannot recommend Giovy highly enough. A lovely, friendly and homely place to stay in such a large city. Very close to Termini Train Station and easy to find. The owner, Giovanna was one of the loveliest people I have ever met and her B & B was like a home from home. She also gave us lots of helpful information about Rome. The breakfast was ample and really set us up for the day. Excellent value, excellent service!

All the good reviews about the owner of B&B Giovy are true. She is very warm, accommodating and helpful. My husband and I arrived at her B&B earlier than the usual check in time and she welcomed us with capuccino and croissants. Afterwhich she suggested an itinerary we can follow for our walking tour - and we were able to go through all the major sites in the city in one day! Our 2nd day was spent leisurely in the Vatican and at Piazza Navona. The B&B is also conveniently situated near the Termini station (15-min leisure walk). You don't really get a posh hotel room but it's decent enough to give you a good night sleep and prepare you for another day of touring Rome.

Our stay at Giovy was highlighted by the welcome that we enjoyed by the proprietor, Giovanna.. she was just wonderful and her staff was so helpful and pleasant. The location near the main train station is very convenient, and has easy access to the metro and buses to investigate Rome. The only thing I would say is the beds need to be more firm, they are very soft, and if you like that, great, but I was sore after sleeping on that slim soft twin bed.

It is always difficult to find a decent place to stay in a big city that attracts lots of tourists. I found Town House Suite Giovy to exceed most places I have stayed while travelling abroad, with the caveat that my husband and I did not receive the rooms that we thought we were getting, and instead were put in an adjacent hotel. Our room was not as nice as the ones in the original facility, and the street was very noisy. However, Giovy herself was a fantastic hostess, which made staying there worthwhile. She is incredibly accomodating, generous and helpful. Our stay in Rome would have been half as enjoyable if we had stayed anywhere else. If and when I return to Rome, I would definitely stay with her!

We traveled to Rome in May; stayed a few nights at a B&B close to the Vatican. Then drove out to Tuscany for a week, when we returned to Rome for a few days we stayed at Giovy. We loved our stay; Giovanna is so sweet and outgoing. At breakfast she leads the way in helping her guests feel like one big family; she serves great cappuccino. The location was good since it's close to the Termini, so catching the Metro to anywhere in the city was quick and convenient. Also taking the train to the airport on departure day was easy. Our room was a double; and the A/C was very nice after a day of sightseeing (our last two days in Rome were very warm). All in all we had a wonderful time in Italy and loved the Town House Suite Giovy. Would stay again.

Stayed from May 3rd to 6th, first we couldn't find the place but Giovanna who run the place was outside so she can find us (and she did!). Prior to the trip we were warned by friends, guidebooks to be careful with our belongings in Rome so we were kind of worried everywhere even at the hotel, but Giovy was not the case, we felt safe, which was great! Overall we had awesome time and felt relaxed and feel safe, love to come back to stay again!

Upon arriving at B&B Giovy after a long flight from the US we were welcomed by our hostess Giovanna. She gave us a cold drink and croissant and also a bottle of sparkling wine for the room (which we did not drink). She is a most gracious hostess and the reason I would stay here again next time in Rome. The location to Termini Station is great-a 5 minute walk. The room is simply furnished but fine for a short stay. Giovanna gave us touring suggestions, pointed out the buses to take, and was very helpful. She even held our breakfast past the closing time when we overslept the first morning. And she gave us a small memento of Rome when we left. Thank you Giovanna for a delightful stay at your B&B.

You will love Giovanna and her sister, they are hilarious! They made sure we found the place and were so friendly and relaxed that we were immediately put at ease that we had made a great choice. The location is great as termini station is the hub for travel in and out of town. The room was spotless and even though we were in a chaotic and busy part of town, we didn't hear a thing overnight. We had to depart early for the airport. When Giovanna heard this, she arrived to our room with a huge bag full of food and drinks for us to take to the airport! The beds are euro-style and firm, but not uncomfortable. We will definitely stay here again!

the warmth and friendly personality of the owner, Giovanna, make this place out-shine a 5* hotel. The facilities are simple, reflecting the price, but this translates into the feeling you are joining a family. Indeed this is what happens: I asked if G knew a nearby shop to download photos onto a CD. Half an hour later and her neice had done it for me, no charge. Giovy would suit anyone who prizes personal care above glitz.

Room was nice and quiet. Breakfast was at very flexible times and was cosy, friendly and tasty!. We stayed 4 nights. There are lots of reasonably priced restuarants around so no need to go far in the evening, which was just as well as we were quite tired! Giovy is very close to the Termini which is great for travelling by bus. Giovanna was a perfect host. All the great reviews are true. We would stay here again if in Rome again and would recommend Giovy to our friends and family.

The service is helpful and friendly. The hosts go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. We had to leave early for the airport so we couldn't take advantage of the included breakfast, and the hostess went out of her way to purchase a breakfast to go and bring it to our room. This is a great location, close to Termini, and we would stay again. My only suggestion is better lighting in the room we stayed. It felt really dark due to poor lighting. Thanks for a great stay!

Stayed here for 4 nights in February and were a bit concerned at first after some reviews had given a very negative (ie dangerous) review of this particular area south of the terminal station. We need not have worried !! This whole part of Rome is well lit & full of tourists at all hours of the day & night. As for our hostess, what more can we say, Giovanna could not do enough to make our short stay special. From the welcome drink and map reading lesson on arrival, the delicous breakfasts, and the unexpected gift on our departure all were delivered with genuine affection. If ever we return to Rome we shall be staying with Giovanna.

Congratulations Giovanna on a wonderful B&B !!! My wife and I together with my brother and his wife decided to visit Rome for 6 days. We looked through the venere site and other sites for a hotel. We decided to go by reccommendations and this is how we came across the WONDERFUL B&B called Giovy. The other people who have sang Giovanna's praises are not wrong. She really is the real deal when it comes to looking after her visitors. Breakfast is special, wonderful coffee, crossants, orange juice served with good conversation and humour. As a side issue, I became unwell while on holidays with the flu and a fever. Giovanna left no stone unturned to find a doctor for me. So all I have to say about our stay with Giovanna, is good! Good! GOOD!! So some advice for other travellers. Location is perfect 2 streets from Termini. The Colosseum is a short walk the beautiful churches like St. Maria Maggiore are literally minutes away. A beautiful pastry shop 4 streets away. You know when you arrive and put your bags down the next priority is something to eat. Well you won't be dissapointed some very nice pleasant Trattorias on the same street. We ate several times in different establishments no bad meals!. Well fed, perfect for that first nights sleep, to leave us rested and ready to explore beautiful Rome. No traffic noise from the street to disturb that perfect sleep. Giovy is very good value for money. Even in January Giovanna is busy so booking would be a good idea. We will return to Rome next year now that we have found the perfect Oasis!! I am looking forward to my next holiday. Mille grazia, ciao Giovanna.

We remember Rome not only for its historic beauty and fabulous sightseeing, but more than anything for the beautiful hostess and owner of Giovy - Giovanna. From the moment we met her to the moment we left, her attention to detail, her consideration of our (and others needs), her warmth, authenticity and love of her work, her desire to do all that she could to make ones visit wonderful will be the hallmarks of our stay in Rome. My boyfriend and I stayed at Giovy on 3 separate occasions during our first vacation in Italy. After long days of travel, it was so nice to come back to Giovanna (the manager), who has to be one of the sweetest and most welcoming hostesses that I have ever met! Our planes and trains arrived and departed at all hours of the night, and Giovanna was always waiting for us to arrive with a big smile on her face (and convenient take-away breakfast). The close proximity to the Termini station make Giovy a great "home base" for visiting Roma and the surrounding areas, as it is only a 3-5 minute walk from the trains/metro to the property. Though the pros of this place heavily outweigh the cons, I must be honest in saying that the area surrounding Giovy is very touristy, and authentic restaurants, shops, etc. are hard to find. That being said, I will DEFINITELY include this B&B on my itinerary every time I go back to Roma, and encourage you to check it out as well!

This is not a posh expensive hotel, but it is a lovely place to stay with the most welcoming host I have ever encountered. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. The ensuite was well maintained, very clean and with an excellent shower. The price of this hotel probably reflects that it is in the less popular area of Rome and prior to my visit I was concerned about this, however, at no time did I feel unsafe in the area and I found everyone very friendly. I would certainly stay there again.

Giovy was very welcoming and makes you feel right at home. This was very well-received since it was my first time in Rome. When we arrived, the room was very clean and she fed us a light breakfast including the most delicious juice. She was very helpful with showing us how to get to the places that we wanted to see. The room was nice. Comfortable bed. Cleanest sheets. Shower is small. Bathroom is on the smaller side as well. The room is cleaned extremely well every single day when you are out. The street that the hotel is located on gives you quick access to cheap internet, food, laundry, and phone. However, some of the characters around the area are a bit sketchy. I had a spit ball thrown at me while walking down the street by some Indian men. I still felt reasonably safe going out at night.

The Town House Suite Giovy certainly met our standard. We stayed in a room with an ensuite which was originally set up with 2 single beds. Giovanna insisted on changing this to a double bed for my husband and I even though it was late at night. She was a wonderful host and made us feel truly welcome. She provided excellent information for our tour of Rome. We do feel the accommodation is too expensive because the commission venere take is excessive. We priced similar properties and higher rated properties while we were in Rome in the same area and found them to be cheaper by E20 and more.

The staff at Hotel Giovy were unfailingly courteous and helpful, offering useful advice re tours around Rome and providing a map. Advice was also given on how to get back to Hotel Giovy should one become lost. The advice was to look for a bus to Termini station which is a short walk from the hotel. Very reassuring for visitors. The Hotel Giovy seemed to accommodate guests from young travellers to the older couples.

A great place to stay! So convenient for getting in and out of Rome with the main rail and bus station just a 2 minute walk away. Close to the main sites in Rome but the metro also runs into the station so again - very convenient. Giovanna, the owner, is like your new best friend from the minute you arrive and tries really hard to make sure that your stay is perfect. The rooms appear to be spread around a number of apartmetns owned by the family so we did not see any other guests, or spend time in any public areas. This however, is not a problem. We were offered breakfast in our room which was a nice touch. When we checked out, we were able to leave our bags for the day, which again made it so convenient. I wouldn't stay anywhere else if coming back to Rome!

We absolutely loved staying at Giovy in Rome. The owner, Giovanna, was wonderful. She is so very welcoming and warm, so accommodating, without being intrusive and we felt like she was an old friend immediately. We have no complaints, only compliments for Giovy. The location could not be better...only two short blocks from the main Rome Terminal, access to everything right there, great restaurants nearby also. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast, and would definitely stay there again.

Great location- easy walk from the main termini train station. Very accomodating and helpful staff. Tiny bathroom in our room but otherwise excellent. Our room was next door to the breakfast area where all the guests would congregate at 8 AM (so early starts to the day were necessary!) Having said this, we would definitely stay here again.

The town house is close to the main Termini Station, has access to a laundry facility directly across the street and a good restaurant also right across the street. Our hostess Giovanni, is warm and very welcoming, and her place is spotless.

Giovy is awesome. She could not have been sweeter. Upon my making my reservation, she sent an email with very detailed instructions on how to get to the B&B. Upon my arrival, she helped me with my bags and provided me with a bite to eat and packed some snacks for me. She gave me a map with instructions on how to get to the major tourist attractions. This was my first visit to Rome and Giovy definitely provided a very warm welcome and really set the tone for the rest of my travels through Italy. I would wholeheartedly recommend this property to others.

The owner of the B&B was wonderful. We felt welcome from the moment we stepped through the gate. She ever fixed us a take along breakfast when we had to leave at 6:00AM to catch a train. Our room was quite large--much nicer than I expected and spotlessly clean. Pretty decoratations too. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to stay near the train station in Rome. It was extremely convenient.

We stayed at Giovy for 2 nights pre-cruise and 1 night post-cruise. It is everything the reviews say: clean, safe, friendly, good location for transportation. The owner gives outstanding personalized service to make sure your stay in Rome is a wonderful experience. When I lost my credit/atm cards (which were later turned in to another site in Rome) she personally took me there to retrieve the cards. When I return to Rome, I will definitely stay at Giovy.

The rooms at Town House Suite Giovy were comfortable, clean and VERY quiet. The exceptional part of the experience is meeting Giovanna, the warmest and most helpful person on this earth!! I even cancelled my reservation at another B&B when I returned to Rome the following week so I could stay at Giovanna's with my daughter. Joan USA

We read the reviews about Giovy before booking a room and did not regret our choice. Giovy and her family were amazing and very sincere! Her Cappuccinos were the best! Only caution is that cash is preferred for payment or you will be charged a 10% fee on your charge card.

We only had a two night stay in Rome but were lucky enough to stay at Giovy. We would highly recommend this hotel. It was clean, spacious and the host (Joanna? - spelling sorry!) was absolutely marvellous. She was there to meet us when we arrived very late at night, showed us our room and made sure we were very comfortable and happy with everything before she retired for the night. She made us feel very welcome and special as she did all her guests. We cannot fault this accommodation and would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a more personalised service than one of the bigger hotel chains.

Fantastic accomodation in excellent location. The host is a lovely lady who is very welcoming and spent alot of time with us when we arrived describing the area and illustrating different sights on the map and how to use transporation. She could not have been more helpful and really made our holiday. Highly reccommended and would most definitely stay there again. Will also recommend this accomodation to friends.

We had read a lot of reviews of Giovy before our trip and when we got there we could verified that everything was true. The place is excellent and Giovanna is a great hostess, she made us feel at home. The room was cleaned everyday. Breakfast was great and the capuccino was excellent. Giovanna also recommended Ceccio (an excellent tratttoria in front of the townhouse) They serve excellent fresh food so do not miss it. Place is very close to bus and train station and if you need information Giovanna can be a great help. Concluding it is a great place to stay if you are visiting Rome and surroundings.

Giovy is a sweetheart, and really went out of her way to make sure we felt comfortable and taken care of. When we mentioned it was our honeymoon, she even gave us a small gift and a bottle of champagne. The breakfast each morning was filling and she was a generous hostess, even packing us a bag lunch the day we left in case we got hungry on the train. The room was small but more cozy than anything else. There was a small desk and mini bar, and the bed was spacious with extra blankets and pillows. Air conditioning was brand new and worked within seconds. The shower was a little of a tight squeeze, but super clean and modern. We requested the room with the balcony overlooking the inner courtyard, which is part of a larger apartment complex, where everyone was fairly quiet... a great location, steps from the train station but very safe and comfortable.

We stayed for two nights at B&B Giovy. The host, Giovanna, was very welcoming and friendly. She was the best host out of all the B&B's we stayed in Italy. Giovanna is a joy, and her sparkling personality really makes this place. The room was comfortable, the location very handy for the train station (a plus if you have an early morning train) and buses. Giovanna's coffee gets the day off to a good start. For the money this is a very handy and comfortable base (and did I mention the wonderful Giovanna?)

The accommodation was perfect for our needs, an overnight stay in Rome before travelling by train to Paestum the next morning. For a longer term stay we would book more centrally. My only comment is that breakfast was a little too basic and could be improved.

We werent expecting the warm welcolme and family like atmosphere we received at Giovy's. The rooms are perfect for short stays, the location is easy walking distance with heavy bags from the Rome Termini, restaurants, supermarket and close to many attractions. The continental breakfast provided consisted of more food than we were able to eat. The most special aspect is Giovy herself. We feel we left a friend. You will know what I mean if you stay there.

This was an excellent B&B for the price and very conveniently located close to Termini Station for the airport express, national trains and the metro. Also walking distance to the Colleseum. Rooms had a quiet air-con system and an unstocked mini fridge so you could buy your own drinks and keep them cool. Entrance is difficult to find the first time - no large sign, just a name on an entry-phone. Some rooms (like ours) overlook a pleasant courtyard. This makes them a little dark but they benefit from being cool as they out of the direct sun. They were also very quiet with no traffic noise even though you are in a busy part of the city. The restaurant opposite the courtyard entrance (Cecio) is well worth trying.

The B&B Giovy was everything the reviews said. Joanna was friendly, helpful and informative. Her lattes were both yummy and plentiful. It was the first time either my daughter or I had ever stayed in a B&B. The room was ample, the bathroom was compact and the beds were "firm". Most of all the room was very clean. We were only spending two days in Rome before boarding a cruise ship. Location was a high priority as we were planning on touring Rome on foot or by bus and staying at the Giovy accoplished that. We easily got to the Closseum on foot and Vatican City by bus. We had not made prior arrangements for tours and when we got there the lines were long. We were approached by independant tour guides who offered speedier entry and audio ear phones for the english speaking guided tour at what we thought was a reasonable price. We decided to take them up on their offer and never regretted it. The only negative experience happened at a restaurant near Vatican City. We were charged 10 euros each for an ice tea and a fountain pop. Our disbelief and protests went unheeded so we paid the 50 euros for our very "simple" lunch. The important lesson we learned was to always ask the price of an item before ordering if it was not listed on the menu. With lunch leaving a bad taste in our mouths we were headed to McDonald's for dinner when we happened upon a restaurant called "Twins Bar" celebrating their Grand Opening. You guessed it the owners were twin brothers. They procceeded to restore our faith in Italian hospitality by serving us a delicious meal at a reasonable price. I would highly recommed Giovy B&B and I would not hesitate in staying there again.

We stayed in Rome for 4 days, this was our first trip there. The owner is very friendly, kind and went out of her way to make us feel at home. We met several members of her family during our stay. Breakfast was delicious more food than I could eat (pastries, yogurt, fruit.) She served us our breakfast in the morning (as early as 7:30) and will even make you an expresso or cappuccino as she has her own expresso machine. We felt like we were at home.

A genuine warm welcome from mine host, who took the tme to acquaint us with facilities and the area. A map of the city was provided and suggestions as to where go and how to get there. Room as described, clean and comfortable. Breakfast delicious and plentiful. The best cappucino in Rome. Thank you for a memorable stay. Highly recommended
