Hotel Reviews Residenza Antica Roma

Greatly disappointed. Pictures of room on web do not represent actual rooms. Shower looks good, but only halfway works. Asked for a triple room was given a quad, looked like a double with all seating removed and beds crammed in so you could hardly walk. Miserable! Air conditioning did not work, was advised to open window last night by desk clerk because it was so hot in the room. Traffic noise was terrible so did not sleep much that night. Would not recommend to friends or business associates. Desk staff make you wait until they acknowledge you are waiting...then not helpful at all. View from fifth floor breakfast room does not exist. Lady working breakfast room only pleasant staff we met on our stay. Good location near sites, but only thing this business has going for it. Will not return!

The hotel was situated nearby the underground. The spanish stages and the Trevifountain was only five minutes away. The staff was friendly, informes and you can get help whenever you need it. Restaurants are nearby, you can get there typical italian food.

A bed and breakfast hotel.Very friendly staff that are eager to assist. English limited by some staff but compensated by their eagerness to assist. Good clean rooms designed in an Old Italian style but modern bathrooms. Breakfast is European styled and sufficient with no restriction on quantity. Lift to rooms is a bit small but we managed with our big suitcases. Hotel is well positioned within walking distance to many historic places. Also very close to electric bus stops with frequent buses to most must see place. Use a day or 3 day transport pass. Close to lots of food outlets. We will definitely stay here again when in Rome. We stayed 4 days - mature couple.

I had to cancel my trip and could not stay at this hotel because of a family emergency ( mother with urgent cardiac situation) and cancelled directly with the hotel. We had wanted to stay at Residenza Antica Roma because of a previous stay there in 2001 and found the hotel lovely, in a great location and very good accomodations. Should I ever get to Rome again, I would stay there and would recommend it. ( My above ratings are based on the stay from 2001--in that I liked it well enough to want to stay there again!!)

Excellent facility with great proximity to sites: Pantheon, Forum, Trevi Foutain, Spanish Steps, etc. Very friendly, help, and accomodating staff. We would defintely book rooms there on future trips to Roma!

Excellent central location only 5 minutes walk from the Spanish Steps and within easy reach of public transport and high street shopping. The room was very clean and towels/toileteries were replaced daily. The breakfast was buffet style and with the usual selection of cheeses, pastries, fruit cereals and unlimited juices/coffee. It was my second visit to the hotel after a 4 year absence and I will happily go a 3rd time!

Small rooms but enough for a short stay. Location excellent. Some workers extremely friendly, others had a bit of attitude. A bit pricy for the type of room we got. Breakfast not bad. May or may not stay there again..probably not if I found a better price/quality in the same area otherwise it was sufficient due to the location.
