Upgraded to suite which was very spacious. Able to use pool and parking facilities at Michelangelo Hotel next door - very useful. Hotel situated about 7 minutes' walk (slightly uphill) from main spa but this enabled us to walk off some of the extra calories consumed from the marvellous breakfasts! Car not necessary as Florence, Pistoia, Lucca, Pisa and coast easily accessible by train. Local buses also seemed to travel to the hill villages.
