This hotel was excellent. The first place we have stayed that is exactly the same as the photographs. The location was great, just by the Duomo, and yet very quiet. We would definitely recommend it - and go back!

Very nice hotel, beautiful rooms and modern bathrooms. Excellent breakfast. A bit noisy in the street, even late at night but given the location at the center you can't expect no less. Also the a/c in the room was a bit noisy.

This hotel was right next to the Duomo. It's VERY loud, directly across the street from a club. Most disturbing is that the hotel closes at 9pm. There is no staff, no one to call and if you don't have a key or haven't checked in by then, you have to track down someone at another hotel several streets away to help you. Our toilet was broken the first night and we had to rig it ourselves just to get it to flush. At a minimum, there should be a note on the website informing guests of the 9pm rule. However, the staff, when in the hotel, was very nice.

Office building with 3rd floor converted to hotel rooms and reception. A/C output less than average, hotel entrance at bus stop and directly across street from nightclub/bar where patrons were out on street until early morning hours, would not ever stay here again.

The photos had been taken with a wide angled lens and when the hotel had recently been refurbished, so in reality it was smaller and not quite as smart. Great location though.

The Palazzo Ruspoli is a lovely little hotel in the block next to the Cathedral of Florence. Service was excellent, and staff was top notch. We were told that at the end of 2004 it will be shut down to expand to a much bigger size. I hope it retains it's lovely charm.

Hotel is on the third floor of an old florentine house; the name 'Palazzo' is therefore a little bit misleading. Room was very clean and equipped with all things you need, public areas were small (nothing for travellers that are expecting big reception areas, or a real Palazzo..). Staff was very kind and also competent. Due to the really central location just besides the dome and just above of a main traffic route this hotel has the big advantage to be midst in town but also the big disadvantage to be midst in traffic noise.

EXCELLENT LOCATION, BUT TO MUCH NOISE (EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL). IN THE BATHROOM, THE SHOWER SYSTEM WAS PERMANENT IN BAD CONDITION.

This is a lovely hotel in an outstanding location. The room was large and looked out on the Duomo. The staff was very helpful

Given the location right across from the Duomo, the hotel can't be beat. The downfalls are the overwhelming sewer/mildew odors in the lobby of the building, and the awkward entrance to the rooms on the upper floor through a locked door. However, the friendly staff, accommodating breakfast and cheerful decor make up for all that. The odor doesn't carry up as far as the hotel floors and the elevator is very efficient.

Staying at the Pallazzo Ruspuli was very nice. The room was large, beds clean and comfortable. The breakfast offered each morning was excellent, fresh and plentiful. The only negative I could remark on is the size of the shower which was a little cramped and awkward, but accomplished the job anyway.

Location is steps away from Duomo but we didn't think it was worth the 180 euros. We asked for an interior room to escape street noise but were told there were none. But there were. It is in a converted office building half a block from the Duomo. Staff was kind and helpful.

L'endroit est fabuleux, en plein centre de Florence. La chambre est spacieuse à l'identique de la photo. Elle est cependant un peu bruiante car je le rappelle, nous sommes en plein centre. Si vous avez le budget, n'hésitez plus !!!

The only thing I can complain about were a.) it was a bit noisy from the street -- However, I'd asked for a location close to the Duomo, etc and to get that close, you get a little street noise! Second thing was there was no Air Conditioning (which the web does not say there is)-- again my mistake in not thinking about that but to make this property a real top notch location upgrading to AC would be a great step. It's a beautiful little hotel and I would def. stay again (maybe in fall or winter tho when its cooler).

Palazzo Ruspoli meet all our expectations as did Florence. The servive was exceptional, even when we arrived late at night a bottle of wine was chilled as requested. The check-out was also efficient, and a taxi to the airport arrived three minutes after requesting one.

Very good location; Good room, large and very quiet; Nice staff. On the other hand the cleanliness of the room is very bad, there is a lot of dust everywhere included in the bathroom : inadmissible at this price level. Also the structure of the hotel is a few disappointing (just two floors in a public building), that's not very hospitable and not reassuring for the global security.

palazzo ruspoli is a really nice hotel to stay. it is really right in the middle of the town, our room was spacious, clean and the bathroom was renewed not long ago. there was no breakfast in the hotle itself, the concierge told us there is a problem with the kitchen and he gave us vouchers for a near by hotel where we could get breakfast....this breakfast was ok. the concierge himself was very helpful and friendly. only disadvantage: the traffic never stops and the windows are not noise resistant. since this is a noisy place, I consider 150Euro/night and room too expensive. to my opinion 75 Euro would be ok...

Site was next to bus stop and was EXTREMELY noisy. Noise went on until 4 am every night. Staff was good except missed wakeup calls. Rooms were nice and big. Overall, I think that price was little high and should be considered a 3 star hotel, especially for the noise factor. Kitchen was broken so could not comment on breakfast but they were nice enough to credit this on the bill.

Very well located, very clean, nicely appointed but very noisy. The staff and property were wonderful but I would never stay in a room over the street again. We awoke to sirens all night.

they did not inform us that the breakfast room was out of order until we inquired what time breakfast was served, then they gave us a voucher to eat in a dungeon like room at a hotel across the street. When i complained the deducted 8 euros each from our bill. Also very noisy, and tiny tiny tiny bathroom. Entrance to hotel is in front of major bus stop so you have to push through throngs of people to get in. Entrance to building filthy. Rooms spacious and charmingly decorated but considering the rest this hotel is no bargain. Location very good if noisy.

I was surprised that the hotel was upstairs, on the third floor, but was pleasently surprised by the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the room!

The staff at Palazza Ruspoli was an excellent source of helpful information, friendly and courteous. The only discouraging thing about this hotel is the entrance from the street. Otherwise, our stay was an extremely good experience.

We really appriciate our stay at the hotel which was very pleasant and well located. The only "negative point" was that there was not so many services as restaurant, roof terrasse, bar...

My stay at Palazzo Ruspoli was superb. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location couldn't have been better . . . from our room we could see the top of the Duomo!! It was a quick walk to everything we wanted to see in Florence . . . the Uffizi . . . the Duomo. The rooms were beautiful and all of the amenities were better than I would have expected. I had such a wonderful experience at Palazzo Ruspoli that I would never dream of staying anywhere else in Florence!
