The owner of the house went above and beyond to help us get settled when we first arrived. But we have 2 complaints: 1) we were asked to pay up front, and 2) the room we had was nothing like the pictures. It had definitely seen better days (e.g., musty smell) and the shower was almost impossible to set at warm - either HOT or cold.

We found the room spacious enough but not particularly clean. Nor was it very tidy or well kept: a basket under the TV table contained dusty wine glasses left unwashed. We also felt the whole building needed some renovation to make it a little more sound-proof. The espresso making machine provided in the public space was a pleasant surprise but pre-packaged "breakfast" that greets you from the dressing table in your room upon arrival was not a good idea because, served that way, the foods looked stale (even if they hadn't been). Despite these shortcomings, we generally enjoyed our stay thanks to the hotel's very friendly and helpful staff.

Exactly as advertised with very warm welcome from Letizia and staff. Ideally located for central Florence and perfect for a longer stay (fridge, mini-kitche, etc.) Would definitely return.

Very artsy decor! Great location - 10 minutes to Duomo and 20-30 minute walk to the train station. The room had a mini-fridge and a hot plate with utensils, dishes and pots. The owner was very welcoming recommended restaurants and showed where the grocery stores were on a map. When she found out we were on our honeymoon she gave us a good bottle of Chianti (!)

Il Soggiorno La Pergola ha davvero soddisfatto tutte le nostre aspettative. E' in pieno centro cittadino: in pochissimi minuti si raggiungono a piedi il Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio e tutte le altre meraviglie di questa città. La nostra stanza era una tripla (noi eravamo in due) davvero molto spaziosa, con angolo cucina, frigorifero ed aria condizionata, e bagno in camera, ovviamente. Alcune merendine e succhi di frutta vengono lasciati in un cestino sul tavolo ogni giorno, per la colazione dell'indomani. Inolte c'è anche una macchinetta del caffè provvista di cialde, nel corridoio per arrivare alla camera. In generale possiamo dirci estremamente soddisfatti della nostra scelta e del soggiorno. Se torneremo a Firenze, pernotteremo di sicuro a La Pergola: imbattibile in quanto a prezzo, cortesia, qualità e ubicazione.

By Car: from the higway A11 exit Firenze Nord and follow direcions toward "centro". You will reach Porta al Prato. Turn left along Viale Fratelli Rosselli, then Viale Filippo Strozzi, and Viale Spartaco Lavagnini. At Santa Caterina D'alessandria you'll pass Indipendenza square and turn on the left on Via Guelfa and go straight until the sevent street and you'll turn right on Via Della Pergola until you see the sign of the entance at number 23 on the right side.

By train
By Train: From S.Maria Novella(Central Station), then you can choose to get a taxi that will bring you to the Soggiorno la Pergola in 3 minutes(price around 6 euro) or by walk from the train Station to us about 15 minutes. When arriving, exit the train Station on the left side.After Mc Donald Turn left in Via Nazionale,and the fourth on the right will be on via Guelfa. As soon as you walk after the sevent street on the right will be Via della Pergola until you'll see the sign of the entrance at the number 23.

By airplane
Shuttle bus Service(4,00 euro).
By taxi(about 25,00 euro): from the higway A11 exit Firenze Nord and follow direcions toward "centro". You will reach Porta al Prato.
