The room was comfortable. The food was excellent. It will be improved when the owners have completed the planned work,in particular the swimming pool. The main problem is that it is very difficult to find if one is using the map on the Viamichelin website because that map shows it in the wrong place. It is actually to the east of Petragradella but the map shows it to the west.

1. The comment "dogs welcome" is misleading, as they are not allowed into the building or guest rooms, but have to stay in kenels. 2. The layout of rooms (and bathrooms) pays a lot of attention to esthetics, antique furniture etc but little to practical aspects. 3. The friendliness and welcoming of the proprietors is truly delightful and so is their cuisine.

This bed and breakfast is perhaps better described as a high quality family restaurant that also provides accommodation. We were made to feel like welcomed family, and as interesting and beautiful that Italy is, it is the character of the people that can leave the biggest impression on you. The hosts made you feel comfortable at all times. The food was superb with typical menus from Emilia Romana and Umbria to reflect the background of the owners. The rooms and restaurant are in a tradional Italian style and very clean, quiet, stylish, and comfortable. The family are building a salt water swimming pool and converting outbuildings to allow for bigger receptions. Maura, the superb hostess and chef, and her son Matteo, speak very good English. Our only sugestion would be to give more detailed directions on how to find them. Ferrara is a 10 minute drive away and beautiful. Bring your bicycle ( whatever your age or gender) to join in with the locals in getting around this stylish city.

Wonderful, wish we could have stayed longer. The owners should have told us that they also did dinners when we checked in. We would have much prefered to have dinner there than in town. The breakfast was a feast and the ambience was very inviting

Beautiful villa in lovely peaceful surroundings. We were expecting it to be just on the outskirts of Ferrara, but actually it is a little further away in a village called Pontegradella, however, it was easy to reach Ferrara. The breakfast was great with lots of choice, and the owners were welcoming and helpful although the locking security gates were a bit daunting until you got used to them. Very good value and we'd highly recommend this place .
